No Impact Moonbat

Posted by Van Helsing at October 8, 2009 7:08 AM

Colin Beavan isn't like other environmentalists who hypocritically talk the talk while walking all over Gaia by participating in modern civilization. He and his family went an entire year without using toilet paper to prove his devotion to the bizarre cult of eco-moonbattery. If people just cared enough to stop wiping their behinds, the thriving polar bears would be saved from doom.

Beavan's stunt not only helped save the planet, but was the basis for a book. The trees he allegedly saved by forsaking basic hygiene have met a still more demeaning fate by becoming the pages of No Impact Man.

Beavan has been spewing harmless carbon right and left as he promotes the book. He and his wife Michelle recently appeared on CBS's Early Show, where Harry Smith gushed:

This is an amazing saga… when the lights were switched back on, Colin and Michelle clearly saw a year that meant so much more than living without toilet paper.

Smith tried to get to the bottom of what the Beavan family used instead of TP. But No Impact Man would only answer, "what we want to talk about here is that we have a big emergency."

The emergency was that Al Gore had made hundreds of $millions off this farcical "crisis" before Beavan made a dime.

There's also a movie version. US box office receipts were $15,215.

At least No Impact Man named himself right. Beavan has had no impact — on the environment or anything else.

No impact movie.

To be a liberal means being a selfish, whining, faithless know-it-all whose actions promote ONLY self-gratification and a sense of being better than everyone else. And as for how they wipe their asses, they don't.

Laughable. Liberals have been so indoctrinated by their fabricated guilt they need to do that crap just to ease their conscience. No doubt that guy was thinking "Wow, I sure saved the Earth, polar bears and helped droughts in Africa!". Is there any surprise now why anyone who can connect two dots together can see how much of a scam this whole Global Warming is?

If they had wanted to do it right, instead of being shameless hypocrites they'd have moved to Amish country and lived like they do. Of course, the Amish are BIG believers in that mythical, judgmental man in the sky (God, for those of us who believe in Him) so it would've clashed with their cynical world view.

And come to think of it, aren't there all kinds of electronic book readers they could've published to without cutting down precious, sacred trees to make books?

Colin Beavan sounds like your typical dedicated eco-freak green nut case just wanting himself to get his face on the frontpage of some birdcage linner or to appear on GNA,TODAY,CBS MORNING NEWS or to get to appear in some stupid greenfreak magazine In reality he is a blabbering nincompoop jerk

Posted by: SPURWING PLOVER at October 8, 2009 7:38 AM

Absolutely Ryan. If any of these Liberals were serious, they would live humbly live the Amish. Problem is, the Amish are honest, hardworking people who believe in God, things that Liberals consider alien. Besides, they would miss their computers, their cars, their mochaccinos at Starbucks. They are disgusting hypocrites pretending to be the solution to a problem they made up.

Just another liberal hypocrite....

Posted by: LouieLouie at October 8, 2009 7:41 AM

Ok, so who's gonna go over to Roissy's and nominate this No Impact guy for Beta of the Year?

Posted by: Rob Banks at October 8, 2009 7:44 AM

And the making of this movie is 100% "carbon neutral"? production, travel, marketing, promotion, etc.

Didn't think so. Typical self-righteous hypocrites.

Homeless people are no impact and do it much longer then just one year. Everyone wants to be a homeless beggar on the street today.

Posted by: furballz at October 8, 2009 8:07 AM

Also don't most liberals think the Amish are putting out too much carbon, i mean they have live stock that breathe and fart.

Posted by: furballz at October 8, 2009 8:08 AM

furballz, I'm gonna go Medieval on your heinie.

Okay, so he, his wife and daughter didn't use TP for one year. Owls and polar bears are alive as a result. Now, he has published a book! Does he not see is own hypopcrisy? What a libtard. I feel sorry for their daughter. Did she go without diapers for one year? Disposable diapers are bad, according to tree-hugging earth muffins. Heck children, especially babies, are bad for Gaia, according to tree-hugging earth muffins. Cloth diapers require laundering in hot water that causes ice caps to melt and using baby-friendly detergents. I sure there's something wrong with them, too. This sort of people are so frickin' looney that they are parodies of themseleves and are too stupid to realize it.

Ed Begley Jr. would probably camp out overnight and stand in line in a Nor'easter storm just to kiss Colin Beavan's green ass.

They may not have used toilet paper but I'll guarantee you they had preperation H by the case full.

Please read "Greens more likely thieves and liars, says shock study" at http://www.theregister.co.uk/2009/10/08/greens_are_thieves_and_liars_say_trick_cyclists/. I think these results apply more generally to modern Liberals.

GMTA Farmer Ted.

They may have gone without TP for a year but I bet they smelled like a barnyard.

Posted by: Nunya at October 8, 2009 9:01 AM

You can smell Colin a mile away

Posted by: JamesJ at October 8, 2009 9:12 AM

What a wuss. He should have gone all the way. Toss all his clothes and wear only what he can make. Go into the woods and live in a hut made of sticks and poop. And eat only berries and squirrels. The upshot his he could have been eaten by a bear.

I'd like to shake that man's hand...on second thought, maybe not...

Posted by: Judith M. at October 8, 2009 10:49 AM

Just as rediculous as that JULIA(BUTTERFLY)HILL who spent two years sitting in that tree I mean anyone who would sit in a tree to keep it from being cut down is out of their minds

Posted by: Flu-Bird at October 8, 2009 12:08 PM

Oh, God! The stench!

Interested if this eco-freak would take his (poor) child to the doctor should she "accidentally" ingest e. coli bacteria from her non-tp wiping and be at death's door? Not wishing it on the poor kid; just fascinated with liberal eco-hypocrites, how they experiment with their children's lives, and live their own self-loathing existences (Oh, the guilt! Oh, the humanity!) . . .

Posted by: jc14 at October 8, 2009 12:10 PM

I think that's a big difference between liberals and conservatives. Most liberals seem to need attention/recognition for every little thing they do and are more than willing to throw themselves an "I'm great" party. Most conservatives are content to quietly do a good deed and not want a big fuss made out of it. Notice I used the identifier "most" and not "all", there are obviously going to be exceptions.

Posted by: Seamus at October 8, 2009 12:56 PM

We used to have one of those eco-freak groups right here in our small town this group were always filing those stupid lawsuits to halt logging and they even got water shut off to the KLAMATH BASIN FARMERS over a pair of worthless trash fish and salmon that can be bought at the supermarkets the facts that their HQ was made of wood with a dumb fish shaped sign made of wood and the leader lived in a log house and had another with a wood burning water heater and like these tree sitters using 2 x 4s and plywood in their platforms or hold a stupid protest using cardboard and all this tree sitting from that ding-bat JULIA(BUFFERFLY)HILL their all rediculous idiots

Posted by: Birdzilla at October 8, 2009 12:58 PM

Why not use his book for TP? Seems kinda...poetic.

And what is it with liberals and toilets, anyway? (Apart from making every city they run into one?)

Posted by: Jay Guevara at October 8, 2009 2:14 PM

Use DR QUESTS PARA POWER RAYGUN and drain all the power from AL GORES estate so he has to use candles

Posted by: Rockin Robin at October 8, 2009 9:28 PM

The trees he allegedly saved by forsaking basic hygiene have met a still more demeaning fate by becoming the pages of No Impact Man.
