Next to Win Peace Prize: Tookie Williams
Posted by Van Helsing at October 11, 2009 12:47 PM
The Nobel Committee has put itself into a bind. After granting its Peace Prize to a Marxist post turtle who has done absolutely nothing to deserve it, how will they continue to push the envelope of moonbattery? If they don't come up with a still more absurd recipient next time around, the Nobel ninnies risk no longer being seen as at the cutting edge of liberalism.
Here's an idea — why not award it posthumously to multiple murderer and Hollyweird heartthrob Tookie Williams? Moonbats would certainly support the choice, as can be seen from Zombie's coverage of his belated execution in 2005:

On a tip from Air2air.
Update:
The murdering fiend Tookie Williams, founder of the infamous gang the Crips, actually was nominated for the Nobel Peace Prize as well the Nobel Prize in Literature. It's not easy to stay ahead of just how surreal the world is becoming under the corrosive effects of moonbattery.

Tookie's Nobel Peace Prize Nomination was made by Notre Dame de Namur University in Belmont, California. http://www.ndnu.edu/ It's right across the street from my in-laws so I get to drive past it all the time.
"Notre Dame de Namur University serves its students and the community by providing excellent professional and liberal arts programs in which community engagement and the values of social justice and global peace are integral to the learning experience."
You are paying part of the $17,997,861 per year cost of this institution's federal and California state support. Of the $24K annual tuition, the 1,491 enrolled students receive an average of $12,071 in government grant aid.

The Polanski Cause has finally provided an outlet to replace the Tookie Cause in the Progressive (idiot) world.
Progressives support Police Murderers and Child Rapists. What more is there to say on the issue.
Who is going to nominate Polanski for the Prize? Or has he already been nominated by Woodie or Demmi?

Want to know what's really sad?
My ultra- liberal brother actually believes Tookie was framed! He believes this based on the fact that Tookie never officially confessed to the murders (Never mind the fact that he bragged about committing them to friends). When I brought up the literal mountain of evidence which proved pretty much beyond the slightest shadow of a doubt that Williams definitely did it, my brother just disregarded all of it, and claimed that all the independent witnesses who saw him at the scene of the Albert Owens murder (The first victim he was convicted of killing, a white convenience store clerk Williams blew away with his shotgun while robbing the store, so as not to leave any witnesses), corroborating the testimony of the prosecution's star witness, must have all secretly been paid off by the police into lying under oath on the matter!
I am so embarassed of him at times.

Errr. That is I helped w/ the elementary school and not the university.
Plenty of chuckleheads there even for such a small college. Oh and early childhood education certifications/training is a biiiig chunk of the University's focus/reputation.

Gah. Ah-nold is certainly no paragon of conservatism, but I sure got tired of listening to the nursing, teaching, and firefighter unions gripe about him in campaign-related TV advertising.
I've been on the phone to Ah-nold's office multiple times over the past week, trying to get him to veto a pair of gun-control bills that landed on his desk. He's got until the end of business today to veto them or they become law. Veto AB962 and SB585!

My ultra- liberal brother actually believes Tookie was framed!
Let me guess...he believed OJ and Michael Jackson were innocent, too. Unfortunately, the system wasn't able to nail either of them thanks to a sympathetic jury.

Obama should send the mother of a fallen American HERO to accept the prize on behalf of the military!

Actually yes, Rockin Robin, he IS a vegetarian! Worse, he's the preachy kind.
Example: This summer in Canada, he and my mom both made lasagna. Mom made a meat lasagna, he made a vegetarian spinach lasagna.
After much pushing from him, I tried some of the vegetarian lasagna, and thought it was pretty good. However, that apparently wasn't good enough for him, for two reasons:
1. He was mad at me for not eating more of his lasagna (Even though the whole reason why I only tried one piece of it was because I was trying to save it for him to eat since I thought he needed a nice supply of vegetarian food available, and felt that if I took more, it would be like taking the food out of his mouth).
2. He was furious at me because I said that Mom's meat lasagna was better. He insisted that his lasagna HAD to be better, because it had more layers (Never mind the fact that I judged which of the two lasagnas was superior based on the lame, unimportant criteria of which one, you know, TASTED BETTER).
He was in a bad mood with both Mom and I for days afterward over it.
"Let me guess...he believed OJ and Michael Jackson were innocent, too."
I think he believes OJ was guilty. I don't know how he feels about Jacko, but after Jacko died, he apparently didn't want me to say anything bad about the guy.
