Newt Called on the Carpet

Posted by Van Helsing at October 30, 2009 8:58 AM

Newt Gingrich has publicly opposed the impending disaster of Card Check, which would allow Comrade Obama's union cronies to do to every business in America what they did to the auto industry. Yet he endorses outlandishly left-wing New York RINO Dede Scozzafava, who in turn supports Card Check. The National Right to Work Committee isn't taking his duplicity lying down:

In a letter to former Speaker of the House Newt Gingrich, National Right to Work Committee President Mark Mix has asked the semi-retired politician to rescind his endorsement of New York Assemblywoman Dede Scozzafava, the liberal Republican nominee in the special election for New York's 23rd Congressional District.
Support for Scozzafava has faded after grassroots citizens learned of her public support for the job-killing Card Check Forced Unionism Bill (H.1409), but Gingrich threw his weight behind her after organizing a petition and raising money to defeat passage of the toxic legislation she supports.
Passage of "Card Check" would mean workers would no longer be able to vote for or against union boss "representation" through a secret ballot election. Instead, the union bosses would be able to accost and intimidate workers one by one into signing so-called "union authorization cards." If a majority of workers sign these cards, union officials could impose monopoly bargaining, forcing all workers, even those who wish to have no part of the union, to accept union representation. …
Recent polls have shown that 75% of Americans are opposed to legislation that strips workers of the right to a secret ballot in union elections.

Newt needs some help reading the tea leaves if he thinks conservatives will continue dutifully supporting the liberal establishment Republicans who managed to lose both Congress and the White House to a gang of left-wing radicals.

Now if someone would just call him out for pretending to support capitalism while shilling for the socialist Trojan horse known as the global warming hoax…

If Newt hasn't gone politically deaf, he must have his finger in his ear.

Once upon a time, I respected Newt. Profoundly. But he as done just about enough, in just a few months, to warrant the RINO moniker... so sad. And it's not like he's even trying to appease some moderate-liberal constituents or anything.

Newt is now of the Body. It is the will of Landru.

So goes the way of the Republican party. A good conservative party is despartly needed in this country! If a 3rd party popped up has a strict conservative party both the DNC and the GOP would be added to the jobless figures.

Hello Moonbattery! You Rock!

I am aware of Newt's mistakes, but he is, by far, the most promising Conservative Republican that I can see for 2012. I really like the guy, and I like his electability as well.

I would never perport to ask you to lay off of him, because I wholly disagree with some of his positions, especially WRT the global warming hype/hoax.

What I would ask is that you be fair and post a balanced picture of the guy. He's probably one of the few true "Statesmen" left in our country.

OK 'nuf about that.

I am posting this here because it may be something that you missed, and you might want to make a headline for it (not Newt Related)

Hillary was in Pakistan this week. Does anyone realize what she said???

I haven't seen this reported anywhere but it is very chilling.

She said;

"I find it hard to believe that nobody in your government knows where they are and couldn't get them if they really wanted to," Clinton said in an interview with Pakistani journalists in Lahore. "Maybe that's the case. Maybe they're not gettable. I don't know."

Okay, so she called Pakistan on the carpet for not nabbing Terrorists coming in from Afghanistan. So far, so good, right?

But she followed up with this;

"If you want to see your territory shrink, that's your choice," she said, adding that she believed it would be a bad choice.

Does anybody realize what she is proclaiming?
She is saying that the US crossing into Pak to nab terrorists would be "shrinking their territory"

Am I reading this right? Is she claiming that the US has conquest designs on Pakistani terrirory?

Hopefully I am simply reading this wrong.

Newt writes well. His historical fiction is good and some of it is near great. He should shut up and write. He can not write too much or say too little.

Hard to say what Hill is saying, Mike. She might be saying that letting Afghan terrorists into Pakistan is a threat to Pakistan's sovereignty.

Newt hung around liberals too long and the compromise disease he came down with metastasized into a full-fledged case of appeasement.

Newt, What is developing here with your politics? The only difference I am starting to see is that Jimmah Karter is from Georgia and so are you.

In that picture you have of the sh*thead newt, it looks like he is mentally challenged with an IQ of about 13 or 14 points. I wonder if his diaper is fully loaded now and needs changing since he's full of something that smells bad right now. Conservative my ass, he's a flaming liberal hemorrhoid on the body politics backside.

The Newt deal bugs me. I cannot figure out what this guy is up to. His talk (with very few exceptions) was spot-on up to a few months ago. Suddenly, he's a party hack and moving into McCain/Graham territory.

I have also noticed that he's with either O'Reilly or Van Susteren on Fox...hasn't shown up on Hannity lately. I'd like to see a Hannity or Levin get him on and put his feet to the fire. Ask him the tough questions like "why are you suddenly a RINO"? Not sure if Hannity would do it...I know Levin would!

I'll say it once more: NEVER again will I support a "compromiser" when it comes to core, conservative values. Every time we've said "let's get along", we've gotten shafted. No more. If it means we don't win elections, so be it. What good is winning if it means allowing the problem to remain? You don't negotiate with cancer. You eliminate it or it kills you.

Tangentially related: Heard on the local news that Michael Steele has sent the directive that Dede's adverts cannot go after Hoffman, only Owens. The Washington repubs say they'll welcome him with open arms, should he win.

Maybe some are starting to read the tea leaves.

Political Dictionary
"Compromise": When the strong agrees to take only PART of what they want from the weak, knowing that they can get the rest with another "compromise" later.

Newt has been drinking the Kool-aid for some time. It is now taking full effect.

I'm sorry, I realize that can't be unseen! ;-(

This guy must have been hiding in a cave in North Korea during the TEA parties- how else to explain his going down with the ship?

Didn't he just waste most of his political capital for zero personal gain? What does the RNC have on him, anyway?

Hannity wont call Newt out on any issue. He wont call out Buchannon out on his views on Israel.Yea Hannity asks tuff questions all right. He mentions Obama running the auto industry. I dont think that I have heard Sean say the words General Motors. I guess that Esplanade he brags about, he got it I guess for free. He praises Raygun as if was a messiah as well. I have asked him 5 times with email to provide Ronnies words and or explanation regarding the murder of 272 of our Marines in there sleep, and how we up and ran from Lebanon. How many miles did Hannity get with his Esplanade hybred? Hey Sean Ronnie IS DEAD and there isn't anyone out there to become the next Gipper.

Scozzafava has suspended her campaign!!!

Posted by: Max at October 31, 2009 9:50 AM

Go to newt.org and rip him a new a$$hole! If enough people do it, maybe he'll get some clue back.

Posted by: Mongrul at October 31, 2009 9:54 AM

It's true, Dede has, but won't endorse Hoffman. Things get interesting now!

Posted by: Karin at October 31, 2009 1:31 PM

Apparently Newt has joined the Bilderburg Group and is promoting their New World Order. Anyone who supports the myth of human-caused global warming is playing right into their greedy hands.
