Morning Briefs: Stuff You've Probably Already Read Somewhere Else
Posted by Gregory of Yardale at October 8, 2009 4:58 AM
Good Morning Campers,
Item Number One: Newsweek magazine asks the question, "Was Russia better off under Communism?" And, inevitably, the official magazine of "We're all socialists now" concludes, "Da, tovarisch." Sure, they have more economic opportunity and a more open society now, and sure, soviet communism murdered 20,000,000 people but under communism, Newsweek informs us, they had 2,337 movie theaters, versus only 1,510. So, obviously, they were better off under communism (and, by implication, we will be, too.) (Newsbusters)
Item Number Two: Keeping up with the far left social radicals of the Obama administration, Kevin Jennings (the gay radical "Safe Schools Czar") says that those who oppose teaching kindergartners about gay sex are racists. And Congressman Barney Frank says opposing illegal immigration is tantamount to supporting Nazi genocide. (Gateway Pundit)
Item Number Three: The state-run media were gleefully reporting yesterday and the day before that undercover operatives from the city and state of New York conducted gun show "stings" to prove that laws were violated. What the state-run media didn't, and won't, report is that Bloomberg's and Paterson's undercover operatives violated numerous state and Federal laws during their sting; including traveling to other states to purchase handguns and transporting them over state lines, laws prohibiting "straw man" transfers by asking (or pretending, doesn't matter) their accomplice to make such purchase for them, as well as laws against entrapment and illegally videotaping transactions at gun shows in defiance of Ohio and Nevada laws. (The Jawa Report)
Item Number Four: The state of New York is trying to shut down a doctor who treated the uninsured through a plan that charged them around $80 a month for unlimited doctor visits. You see, this kind of innovation in the medical profession runs contrary to the state's ambition to ultimately have a monopoly on providing health care. (NY Post)

We are only fooling ourselves if we think this whole thing is not going to end in gunfire.

Item # 2: Have you noticed a Liberal pattern? Hire minorities (or deviants for the gar school watcher who endorsed pedophilia) and make sure to brand your opponents of racism/sexism/homophobia the moment they are criticized... because you know, there is NO chance that their ideas might actually be wrong, it's all racism and discrimination. /sarc

I think I've been pretty clear about how I feel with regard to gun control. http://www.cafepress.com/paulehoward.401192980
Seriously, why do they have such a problem with legal citizens making legal gun purchases and owning legal guns? I think it's because they can't control that aspect of our lives. Take away our guns and we'll be less likely (or able) to stop oppression and fascism.

Item #1:
The posted figures translate to approximately 24,184 people dying for each theater that was built in the "Better Russia".
Item #4:
Dr. Muney is a shining example of what it is to be an American. The primary reason the state insurance department has a problem with him is because he represents competition, which is, what I thought, the obama administration wanted to create; however, I have been wrong before.

There's no other way it can end. I don't know of any country that ever managed to vote itself out of the kind of mess this country is in.
You can prattle on and on about the Constitution, the Bill of Rights, the Federalist Papers and the Declaration of Independence until you're blue in the face. But remember, the philosophy expressed therein wouldn't have been worth a tinker's damn if the authors of those works hadn't been willing to grab their shootin' irons and dispatch with those who were the obstacles between them and their freedom.

As usial NEWSREEK proves its a leftists propeganda rag and the BIG APPLE has a nasty worm in its core named MICHEAL BLOOMBURG and the SAFE SCHOOL CZAR is the snake crawling in a wagon rut

Sadly, Rob Banks is right here. It WILL end in bloodshed, likely before Hopey gets booted out of his first term. Socialist countries always turn violent on their people when things turn bad.

"Seriously, why do they have such a problem with legal citizens making legal gun purchases and owning legal guns?"
Paul, the sting demonstrated gun show vendors selling guns to people who said they could not pass a background check, which is a federal felony.

#3 - So you have no problem with those kids you label 'patriots' doing the exact same thing with their stupid little ACORN 'sting', but when it is gun nuts... well, that's different, right?
Ahh conservative hypocracy... some things never change. (Like left-wing illiteracy.)

So what, Sally? Prosecute the people who broke the law and that ought to take care of it. That's what they should be doing with ACORN, as well, BTW.
Posted by: Judith M. at October 8, 2009 10:54 AM
Works for me - prosecute any people who break the law, gun show salesmen or Acorn staffers.
