Morning Briefs: Stuff You've Probably Already Read Somewhere Else

Posted by Gregory of Yardale at October 28, 2009 4:39 AM

Good Morning Campers and Threadjacking Pantywaists,

Item Number One
: Right-wingnuts claim that gun control laws disarm law-abiding people to the benefit of criminals. Progressive leftists say that's crazy talk, that giving the state a monopoly on the use of deadly force ensures public safety. Who's right? Well, gun violence in Airstrip One went up 89% in the years after draconian gun laws were enacted. So, my guess is the progressive left is, once again, full of crap.

But the British Police are getting serious on cracking down on other forms of "crime," they went to the home of a 67 year old granny to warn her that her complaints about a gay pride parade were considered "hate speech." Moonbat law enforcement priorities.

In a related note of counter-moonbattery, a Vermont legislator wants people who don't own guns to be registered and pay a $500 fee to the state for the cost of protecting them. Love it!

Item Number Two: While the US wallows in recession, China and Brazil -- who cut taxes to spur economic growth -- have begun recovering. I have a question though. Why is it when the United States buys commodities from underdeveloped countries, the progressive left calls it "exploitation," but when Communist China does it, it's hailed as a vital engine for economic development?

Item Number Three
: A group of wealthy Germans is demanding to be taxed higher because, as one said, he had "a lot of money I do not need." Well, good for you, Hitler, why don't you just give everything you don't need to the state, then, and let other people invest theirs in ways that will create jobs and livelihoods?

Since I'm too busy to find something amazing for the graphic spot, I'm just going to plug in this video of two cats re-enacting the scene of Goatse Wellstoned getting dumped by his girlfriend.

Great video. Why do I have the inescapable feeling the person who did the subtitles may have lived through a similar experience? ;)

Whoever did the subtitles left out the part about Goatse forcing her to have an abortion.

When theres no rivers of blood flowing through the streets of our major cities when a gun control laws are ruled unconstitutional by our courts then you can show-up the columists and chief editor by calling them pathetic fools
