Morning Briefs: Stuff You May Have Already Read Somewhere Else

Good Morning Campers and Trolls with Festering, Unresolved Daddy Issues
Item Number One: I learned this weekend that I have something in common with Michelle Bachmann (besides patriotism and love for freedom and limited Constitutional government), we are both foster parents. She has fostered 23 teenagers. I think the fact that the progressive left chooses to demonize someone like Michelle Bachmann while making heroes out of Che Guevara and Mumia Abu Jamal simply confirms that the progressive left is evil. (That whole Biblical thing about those who call good evil and vicey versey)
Item Number Two:Like a lonely schoolgirl with a crush, the New York Waste of Times continues gushing over Professional Teleprompter Reader B. Hussein Obama. Their latest is an effort to convince you that Obama is the manliest president evah! Here is their thesis:
Since being elected, he has demonstrated an encyclopedic knowledge of college hoops on ESPN, indulged a craving for weekend golf, expressed a preference for adopting a "big rambunctious dog" over a "girlie dog" and hoisted beer in a peacemaking effort.
And here is the counter-argument:

Also, real men don't whine and run around waving their hands like whining little crybaby bitches shrieking "FoxNews isn't fair to me! Make them stop! Nobody watch FoxNews! I'm not inviting FoxNews to my parties anymore!"
Item Number Three: The Authors of 'Freakonomics' became somewhat celebrated on the progressive left for constructing a statistical analysis that concluded that more abortions equaled less crime, because abortions happened disproportionately among socio-economic groups more like to commit crime (which is progressive left code for "Blacks" or the "undesirables" as Justice Ruth Bader-Ginsburg called them). Their new book contains a statistical analysis demonstrating that feminism is responsible for both the rise in prostitution and the crappiness of the public education system. The progressive left probably won't find that conclusion as laudable.
On a related note, this heartwarming story of an obnoxious feminazi put in her place by a quick-thinking bookstore employee, which ties into the cartoon reproduced below.

OK, treat this as an Open Thread until VH posts a "Diversity Lane" cartoon.

About the NY Waste of Times story: Embarassingly pathetic. I do all that stuff and I'm a girl. I never get tired of the curtain hanging picture.
Great story at the last link. It's apparently very popular.

Obama Ties President Bush On The Number Of Rounds Of Golf Played In Office
Obama, 9 months in office, 24 rounds of golf.
Just remember, General McChrystal had a grand total of 25 minutes with Obama aboard Air Force One on the tarmac in Copenhagen.

Oh yeah, very manly indeed, the NYT may be doing its propaganda but we all saw Huseein throw a ball, play fencing with a plastic sword and hang curtains.

You are missing the whole point of the teleprompter. Let me illustrate:
During the campaign every time his campaign staff said something that would burn him the response was:
They were wrong headed,
They misspoke,
It needed clarification,
You get the picture.
Now flash forward to now,
speaking from the teleprompter is just the next manifestation of plausible deniability. If it goes bad, blame the programmer of the teleprompter. Obama didn't really say it, he just read it.
I predict (semi sarcastically) that in the future the WH Communications director becomes a cabinet post with official responsibility for the teleprompter, vice teleprompter and the teleprompters of the house and senate. I think we are approaching the end of spontaneous Q&A and entering the realm of only canned responses.

Hey Frank, do you think the WH will use canned laughter now for Gibbs' responses? It would be less insulting to the reporters than his usual giggles.

Manly man, well maybe compared to the rest of the little girlies running the country but I really doubt it! Let's see that faggy baseball pitch again or his fancy lad golf swing...;-)

It's people like Michelle Bachmann that cause the left to be so vile, they know they could NEVER be so GENUINELY good. All they understand is PRETEND good (vote buying good). The pretense has them constantly working to keep their cover (which has been slipping quite a bit lately).

Obama ties George W. Bush on golf
When he isn't campaigning somewhere or running around the world on taxpayers expense.

Sorry SK, missed your link...

Chairman Zero a Manly Man? Are you sure that the article is not from "The Onion"? Everybody knows that The One is a beta male stuck in a girls body.
Posted by: funkendunkel at October 26, 2009 7:10 AM
If Fox News ran an article about the manliness of George Bush when he was President, the moonbat feminists would be screeching about news stories that "promote outdated gender stereotypes."
When the New York Slimes does the same, there is no anger to be found.

Has to be canned laughter. No one thinks it is funny.
There is already a canned audience, MSM.
Or maybe, the only place an Obama speech can be properly appreciated is in the can.

Love the cartoon! God, they are exactly like that!

Wow, Dear Leader drinks beer? Can't get manlier than that. They don't let women drink beer. (Does he drink it with his pinky sticking out?)
That girly throw at the All-Star game did it for me. Most men can throw better than that with the wrong hand.
You make the call – who has the better arm, Barack Obama, or Miss America?
I rest my case.
Posted by: Jay Guevara at October 26, 2009 3:11 PM
Jay, you forgot Obama's Mom Jeans.
Posted by: SK at October 26, 2009 4:01 PM
SK, yeah, I wasn't going to go there. When Miss America has a better throwing arm than you do, that pretty much says it all.
