Morning Briefs: Stuff You May Have Read Somewhere Else
Posted by Gregory of Yardale at October 23, 2009 4:55 AM
Good Morning Campers and Leftist Trolls Questioning Their Gender Roles,
Item Number One: The New York Times reports that our crybaby president spent part of his meeting with MSDNC fluffers Keith Olbermann and Rachel Maddow whining about the Fox News Channel. After meeting with two of his most loyal media fluffers, President Crybaby commented that Olbermann made up for in enthusiasm what he lacked in technique, and that Maddow gave it a good sporting try despite her obvious "handicap."
Related, another MSDNC Obama-fluffer, Chris "Tweety" Matthews claims the Religious Right in America is like the Taliban. One might point out to Tweety that the Religious Right in America does not advocate death for homosexuals (like Obama's friends in Teheran do), does not bundle women into Hefty sacks, does not bar women from being educated, does not ban music, is not blowing up innocent people in order to impose a dictatorial theocratic state. One might do that, but one would be wasting one's time because Chris Matthews is a deranged partisan hack.
Item Number Two: Chairman Zero's administration won't meet with FoxNews, but they will meet with the brutal regime of Myanmar (a.k.a. Burma). Myanmar is a brutal communist military dictatorship that has killed and imprisoned thousands of people. So, let's see if I understand this: Chairman Zero will meet with the brutal communist military dictatorship of Myanmar, but he won't speak to the democratic civilian government of Honduras because it was supposedly put in power by a "military coup." Maybe Honduras should declare itself communist and throw some people in prison. That would make Obama happy.
Item Number Three: The University of Michigan, determined to embarrass me and every other alum, has decided to remove the popular and historically accurate Amerindian dioramas from its museum of history, not because they offended anyone, but for an even more moonbatty reason: "Museums are often thought of as ... protecting the objects of the past." But trapping a "contemporary living culture" behind glass, is misleading and passive at best, insulting at worst, according to patronizing twit Richard West, director emeritus of the Smithsonian's National Museum of the American Indian. Because, as we all know, contemporary Chippewas and other Amerindian tribes are still hunter-gatherers using Stone Age tools.
Have a good weekend, campers. And lefty trolls, don't forget to take your meds.

Comments
That museum guy's comment made absolutely no sense. I read it 3 or 4 times, and no dice. Greg of Y, my parents were fiercely proud U of M alumni, wearing the blue & gold on game day vs. OSU. They must be looking down with bewilderment about what's happened to UofM.

Wow, I'm increasingly feeling like punching a liberal journalist.
Hey Chris Matthews, you retarded monkey, that made ZERO sense.

Wait they do not still use stone age tools? I thought the casinos were ran using all of the parts of a buffalo.
I feel minimal guilt for the comment for 3 reasons:
1. I actually lose money at casinos. Me and the tribes of Kansas casinos have made separate reparations arrangements.
(/sarc)
2. I am incredibly naive and uninformed about Native Americans.
(/sarc off)
3. According to relatives I am some oddball portion Cherokee (1 Grandfather was 1/8, another was 1/16, one grandmother was an unknown portion, my genetic arithmetic is a little fuzzy).
(/lib logic)According to liberal dogma, only members of a group identity can comment on any given group identity. Yet they discuss sane people?
(/lib logic off)

The deranged Liberal media keeps getting worse and it hasn't been a year yet since Hussein has been elected. Give it six months, they will be asking for conservatives to die openly (as some already do) and after a year, advocate re education camps.

Karin, the UofM has been a home to lib idiots for years. They even refused to let the campus police carry firearms, I don't know if that has been changed or not. Mustn't offend liberals, you know. As for the "logic" behind the UofM's decision, I want my tax money back, those people are idiots. There's a saying here, "you call it Maize(as in maize and blue), we call it corn".
As for comrade 0 and his administration meeting with Myanmar, is anyone really surprised by this? Chris Wallace and Fox, and free governments are the real enemy, not communist despots or muslim fanatics.

Don't be complainin' about your alma mater U of M. Mine, U of Chicago, gave us law professor Barak Obama, U of C hospital administrator Michelle Obama, David Axelrod and Austin Goolsbee. And Cass Sunstein, whose interminable classes I was required to sit through.
Posted by: mega at October 23, 2009 8:34 AM
How did you survive, Mega? It must have been awful having to regurgitate Sunstein's evil musings on tests. I'll bet it tasted just as bad coming up as it did going down.

What this Richard West, director emeritus of the Smithsonian's National Museum, and his ilk are doing is basically the erasure of the Native American. Between the wholesale removal of Native American team names, and now this, if this trend continues, the entire history of Native Americans will be erased.

It was difficult, Judith. The most pointless and superciliously pedantic nonsense I encountered in my days at their grad school. I didn't bother taking the tests, though. I took the gentleman's B, which U of C gives to those who continue to breathe while being enrolled. I think if you're a serial killer you get a B-, but only if you're convicted. Sunstein was completely off the rails when I took his classes. He is your typical IQ 170 guy who has spent his entire adult life as a tenured professor, lecturing people on how the world should be changed to make it better, while simultaneously being unable to butter a piece of toast without assistance. Unfortunately, I had to choose as advisor between him and John Mearsheimer the raging antisemite. To give you some idea of how difficult it was to even be in the same room with Sunstein, I chose Why-Can't-The-Jews-Just-Leave-This-Planet-Already Mearsheimer as my advisor.

I would've figured hiring Rich Rodriguez would've been enough embarassment for a lifetime.

I too know the feeling of being an alum embarresed by your well loved school. My own former home of Texas A&M, a still strong bastion of conservative values, welcomed King, *ehem* President crybaby last week. Sad indeed.

Blame that one on the incresingly senile George H.W. Bush, not Texas A&M. The Bush family, aside from Jeb, is completely fucking useless as far as i'm concerned.
