Morning Briefs: Stuff You've Probably Already Read Somewhere Else

Item Number One: Senate Obamacrats proved that Joe Wilson was right and Obama was lying by voting down an amendment to the health care bill that would have required photo ID to prove legal status before accessing government-provided services. (Gateway Pundit)

Item Number Two: Nutjob Obamacrat House Member Alan "Dick" Grayson compares Republican opposition to bureaucratized health care to the Holocaust and 9-11. Will the same leftist crybabies who made such a stink about Larouchites comparing Obama to Hitler be outraged this time? No, probably not. (Gateway Pundit, Again)

Item Number Three
: A school district in New York refuses to allow kids to walk or bike to school, even if they live only a few blocks away. Then, they wonder why the yewts have such an obesity problem. (Hat Tip: Lileks)

Item Number Four: Sarah Palin's book, Going Rogue, hits Number 1 on both Barnes and Noble and Amazon's pre-order list. She finished the book four months ahead of schedule, and didn't have to hire an unrepentant Marxist terrorist to write it for her. (Jammie Wearing Fool) {BTW, Trig Palin really is her son; she's way sexier than Maureen Dowd, Joy Behar, or Kathleen Parker; and none of the trumped-up ethics charges have stuck --- So suck it liberal trolls with blogs no one reads.}

Living well really *is* the best revenge. Good for you, babe.

Gregory of Yardale just cracked me the heck up with that post.

Sarah can wrap me in her flag anytime.

With all due respect to a married woman with kids, you betcha!

Posted by: pomalom at October 1, 2009 4:55 AM

Hey Ted, you reminded me, wouldn't that Mmmm mmmm mmmm song make for a good song parody contest?

Something like:

Mmmm mmmm mmmm!
Barack Hussein Obama!
He sez to shut up in the Towns;
He'll send his thugs to smack you down!
Mmmm mmmm mmmm!

Um.

Here, let me get that for you.

Great post! Best part, Item Number Four:

Posted by: GregZ at October 1, 2009 5:30 AM

And here I thought that Grayson had at least an ounce or two of sensibility given his holding that Fed Inspector General's feet to the fire. Perhaps I was mistaken.

Posted by: The MaryHunter at October 1, 2009 5:35 AM

Maryhunter,

Typical liberal fashion. Garner votes through some perceived good act, turn your back.

They're two-faced, no doubt about it (except Pelousy, she's just plain ugly, inside and out).

It bothers me that occasionally I get a reason to like a Democrat... then they clear up that misconception in quick order by destroying all credibility that they attempted to build up by said previous good act.

Posted by: AmericanToTheCore at October 1, 2009 5:44 AM

Item # 1) The bill stated
HB 3200 SEC. 246. ANDY42302 SUCKS WET FARTS OUT OF DEAD PIGEONS
That's an indisputable fact to anyone that has the ability to read.

Item # 2) It's about time Dems called out the Rep for their lack of passion for citizens and their allegiance to big campaign donors. I sent Grayson $250 from my mom's purse and I'm not even from his state.

Item # 3) I think little boys on bikes are teh hawt.

Posted by: andy42302 at October 1, 2009 5:45 AM

I have news for the jackass reviewers at B&N and anywhere else - HIllary did not write her own books (several people did), Bill did not write his own book, Obama did not write Dreams (BILL AYERS DID) and if you are a professional writer spending one intense month with a person is ENOUGH to get a draft down and capture their voice. There is absolutely nothing wrong with having a pro help you if you are not a professional writer or book writer. Yes everyone should know how to write a letter, or a blog post, but why should everyone automatically know how to write a book - especially on a tight deadline? Book writing is not a "basic skill." Even journalists have help when they get a book deal because writing a 3000 word story (or an 800 word story is different from writing a 50K, 60K or 75K long book.

a pig in lipstick is still a pig. I love joy Behar!

It just has to kill the resident trolls here that V the K's Caption This! has significantly more contributors and followers than their blogs.

Posted by: metalgarth at October 1, 2009 5:52 AM

Man is she hot. I don't care if the libs call her names, she is still a strong woman with traditionnal values, who wasn't affraid to state the truth. If the media had been doing their jobs during Bammie's campaign she wouldn't have been torn to pieces... but is she gone? Nope, she's just out of the easy spotlight where everyone's free to take potshots at her and her family. GO SARAH! When even the feminists hate a woman, you know she's doing it right!

Posted by: Jay B at October 1, 2009 6:18 AM

By comparison Sarah's got some killer legs! Compare to these " width="330" height="448" />

Since I can't preview these posts, I'm guessing that didn't work. If it didn't, and you had too much for breakfast & need to puke, look here:

Ooh! Ooh! Pick me!

You guys have been quiet about John Perry's Newsmax fantasies about the (nudge nudge) "possibility" of a military coup in the USA.

A little too close to home for some of your commenters, perhaps?

Posted by: ptet at October 1, 2009 7:07 AM

Sarah Palin is definitely a hottie, always will be. It's amazing how much better looking the conservative women are.

Maybe it's because they're happy, doing good for others, actually doing productive work for a living and have good hearts, eat healthy and workout. What a concept.

The left hate her because she tells it as it is. She's not some phony limousine liberal who tells you to do one thing and not another. They expect a woman of power to be some fat matronly waddler.

Good for her on her book, I'm going to buy it. I wish she'd had book signings where I live. I'd definitely drive to see her.

RE: Posted by: ptet at October 1, 2009 7:07 AM

Your Hit Counter is now on "00004" - and two of them are due to me. You can thank me later, ptet-offensive.

For those unenlightened Moonbattery readers, here's the HuffPo version of events. HUFFPO couldn't even make a moutain out of this molehill:

******************************
"According to the Huffington Post and other sources, columnist John Perry, for right wing media outlet, Newsmax, wrote Tuesday that President Obama "is inviting" a military coup and that it might not be such a bad thing:

"Imagine a bloodless coup to restore and defend the Constitution through an interim administration that would do the serious business of governing and defending the nation. Skilled, military-trained, nation-builders would replace accountability-challenged, radical-left commissars."

Apparently somebody came to their senses and the article was pulled from the site. Here's what a spokesperson said in a statement:

"Newsmax strongly believes in the principles of Constitutional government and would never advocate or insinuate any suggestion of an activity that would undermine our democracy or democratic institutions."

The statement also said that Perry "has no official relationship with Newsmax other than as an unpaid blogger." But HuffPost made note of the fact that the writer is a former senior editor at the site.

Then the spokesperson remined that Perry "clearly stated that he was not advocating such a scenario but simply describing one."

Go Sarah!

That photo seems a photoshop work!!

John Perry killed the census worker. The voices told me.

Posted by: Anonymous at October 1, 2009 7:45 AM

Can you imagine the same shot in the Oval Office?

My choice for next election: Sarah Palin for Pres, Michele Bachmann for VP. I'd stand in line to vote for that.

RE: Posted by: Mats at October 1, 2009 7:42 AM

Well, God Bless photoshop then!!!

Posted by: TonyD95B at October 1, 2009 7:55 AM

Atta girl Sarah, and AMEN, SurferChick!

Sarah Palin for Pres, Michele Bachmann for VP. Posted by: chuck in st paul

The only thing more awesome than that ticket would be a Sarah Palin/Glenn Beck POTUS/VPOTUS...simply because Leftist heads would finally explode.

Posted by: Nunya at October 1, 2009 8:15 AM

Gee, ptet, I wonder if John Perry got the idea about a pending military coup from Gore Vidal. Pretty weird how people on the right AND left think a military coup could happen. I wonder if that's why Russian submarines have been patrolling our east coast?

Posted by: Judith M. at October 1, 2009 8:22 AM

Do we know who actually wrote her book? I smell a CONSPIRACY. And my own body funk, which most be particularly rich because normally, I'm immune to it.

Regardless of political persuasion, we can all agree that when she talks, she uses words that are hard for me to understand, like "responsibility" and "patriotism" ... if this book reads like her speeches, i can't WAIT to read what my fellow leftists will say about it without actually reading it themselves... but probably not for the reasons that you all can't wait to read it. Mainly, because I'm a complete anonymous douchebag.

Posted by: Anonymous at October 1, 2009 8:37 AM

I love you Sarah!

Damn right Surferchick. Conservative women have actual values and smile a lot more. Look at Liberal women, always on the defensive, always looking for something to be offended about, their relaxed face usually shows a sneer.

Posted by: Jay B at October 1, 2009 8:53 AM

In addition, Jay B (and others), conservative chicks also bathe.....

Posted by: JoeShmoe at October 1, 2009 11:45 AM

When this pic first appeared in Runner's World, someone posted it at the DU. Even they had to admit "she's in great shape."

She also looks drop-dead-awesome in a pair of jeans. Unlike king zero.

Posted by: Karin at October 1, 2009 1:24 PM

Now you know why these left idiots are afraid of her. They can't match a smart HOOOOOOOOOTTIE.

Candy Andy!!! Don't get any on your key board.

Bet your SMOOOOOOOOTHING one out right now!

Rush had a link to Amazon.

Go Sarah!!!

LOL Dave, not a problem with the keyboard. I think Van's editing of my post further proves my point that this is likely a 1 or 2 man blog. Van and his merrymen can't keep up with who they are. Funny stuff.

Posted by: andy42302 at October 1, 2009 6:25 PM

Thought you would get a kick out of that, Andy.

I know how you feel about Palin. I have to admit, however, that I wouldn't mind SMOOOOOOOTHING one out myself. SHE IS SOOOOOOOOOO FINE!!

BWAAAAAAAAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAH!!!!!!!!

To bad your lefty women look like they just crawl out of a cave and have dirty knuckles.

GRUNT GRUNT.......

Posted by: Dave at October 1, 2009 7:14 PM

Dave says "Thought you would get a kick out of that, Andy"

So Dave, you have administrative privileges to edit comments? That's interesting considering I've maintained all along that this site creates its own trolls in order to discredit anyone with credibility. Funny stuff.
