As I used to tell people years ago when I was a small town police officer ... "if you don't like the police, don't call them when you are robbed, assaulted or "abused" by someone" ... The same philosophy could be applied to the a$$holes protesting our military (in general) and the Marines (in particular).

Please don't forget the June 1, 2009 shooting at an Army recruiting center in Arkansas, which resulted in the death of Pvt. William Long and wounding of Pvt. Quinton Ezeagwula.

Last time I looked, "avowed" meant an open acknowledgement or declaration. Calling the killer an "avowed Leftist" means that he openly declared himself as a Leftist. It very definitely does NOT mean that he's a Leftist because you say he is.

OK not reall, but it frosts me as the son of two WWII vets, every single aunt and uncle vets, and having lost a close cousin in Vietnam, how anyone (or a group of people) can spout such vitriol and not have ever served or contributed a single thing. Leftists only preach and screech about how unfair and wrong conservatives (and in this case the military)are but they never go to the end of the argument and walk the talk. They don't lead by example through service, donation and sacrifice......maybe they should go in the military and learn someof those values?
