More Progressive Left Politicizing of All Hallow's Eve

Posted by Gregory of Yardale at October 31, 2009 2:16 PM

I'm keeping my politics out of the holiday. My son's friends and I carved jack o lanterns this afternoon while watching Indiana and Purdue get rolled over (oh well). I've got thirteen candles ready to burn in my foyer. I've got bowls of snack sized candy for little trick or treaters, and full-size bars for bigger ones. (What's left over, I'll take to church tomorrow and give to the kids there.) And, I've got a couple of horror movies for later, one that sounds campy and one that's supposed to be pretty scary.

It's a pretty normal standard Halloween, because it's what normal people do on Halloween, not handing out ObamaCare stickers or creating a Graveyard of Conservatism.

Think of the effort that went into creating this, and how that effort might have been better spent visiting the elderly or volunteering at a homeless shelter.

Anybody who lets politics infect every aspect of their life to this degree is a few fries short of a Happy Meal... and probably pretty miserable. to boot.

Happy Halloween, Normal People.
