Lamest Anita Dunn Defense Evah!
Posted by Gregory of Yardale at October 21, 2009 2:38 PM
Media Matters --- the Soros-financed source for left-wing talking points --- offers the lamest imaginable defense for Anita Dunn's profession that Mao Tse-Dung was one of her "favorite political philosophers"
In fact, Dunn actually said that Mao and Mother Theresa were "the two people that I turn to most to basically deliver a simple point, which is, you're going to make choices!"
Um, just a thought; Is there someone who isn't a mass-murdering Communist you could have used to "deliver a simple point, which is, you're going to make choices!"

Comments
Actually, Dunn's point...made over and over...was that Mao was one of the two people she turned to the most for for "political philosophy". They can try and spin it now, but she was REAL clear what she meant.
No spin, no "out of context". The woman is a communist, or at least looks to them for her inspiration. If we don't stand up as a nation...NOW...and kick these bastards (including Obama) out of office, they'll have this country dismantled as a Republic by early next year.

Absolutely right. Despite all of the Reds' lame protestations to the contrary, it is painfully clear that Dunn a) expressed admiration for Mao, b) held him up as an example to high-school kids, and c) wasn't joking.
How Reds must hate YouTube. It must truly enrage them, because with their operatives in the media they can poohpooh a written report and/or smear anyone making allegations, but video of the malefactor in action...that's pretty tough to weasel out of.

Gives you some rather disturbing insight in to Chairman Zeros friends.

"Mao and Mother Theresa were "the two people that I turn to most to basically deliver a simple point, which is, you're going to make choices!""
Because the idea that "you're going to make choices" is so controversial you can't introduce it without pulling in some big gun quotes for extra support and credibility. (sigh)

Yup. She's a commie. Any sane, objective person can see that - by her own words and actions.

The disturbing trend here is the never ending stream of stories like this. Every time one of this administration's puppets gets caught praising or quoting some totalitarian tyrant, they always try to downplay the event as only a quotation or reflection.
My question is this: if BHO apparatchiks do not admire tyrants and Marxists, then why are quotes from such people constantly running through their minds?
These incidents are not isolated and accidental - they are part of one big Freudian slip. The reason these tyrants get referenced in matters they are not relevant to is that they served as a source of inspiration to the members of this administration.
It is one thing to quote Mao in context, if you are discussing 20th century Chinese history, but to inject him into a discussion that has nothing to do with China or Marxism is bad form and highly suspicious.
Mao wasn't even a source of groundbreaking ideas. He re-spun Marx's theories to appeal to an agrarian audience, then organized a bloodthirsty insurgency.

AC's right. The staggering thing is Dunn's tone-deafness. She obviously did not anticipate that people might take umbrage at her (as she saw it) vapid platitudes. That alone speaks volumes about her day-to-day milieu. Suppose she'd quoted Alfred Rosenberg to make her point that the kids will need space to live?

Some estimates:
Purged: 2 Million dead
Great Leap Forward: 31-33 Million dead
Cultural Revolution: 1 Million
Ethnic Cleansing (Tibetans): 750,000-900,000 dead
Labor Camps: 20 Million
Hard to tell how many people were killed exactly, although the number probably excludes 100 million.
The Black Book of Communism sites closer to 120 million once starvation rates, local Red Army atrocities, disease rates and suicides are factored in.
BTW a lot of the suicides derived from citizens' fear of imprisonment, public torture and heinous forms of execution.
On the bright side, its probably only a matter of time until a BO Czar, aid or BO himself comes out with a similar testimony of adoration for good ol' Adolf.
Then we got him.

Fiberal, do those figures include all the babies that were aborted, tossed into pits, or simply left to die because of the one-child policy?

Did anyone notice Anita's facial tics during her presentation? That is a common side-effect with some antipsychotic medications.

V the K,
Don't believe so since the available figures are not posted in scientific notation.
BTW I take that back about BO
BO's activist political model is more in line with the overthrow of African apartheid than with other historical political movements. BO's speeches, proposals and policies are all in the context of what he must view as a means to overthrow American apartheid. I think that in order to get a true understanding of BO's intentions for the USA, we need only to look to the dismantling of apartheid in Zimbabwe and South Africa. The Nobel Peace Prize must have felt very correct for him.
The ignorant left in general love tyrants and mass murderers, but BO's first devotion cannot help but be to what he likely views as the dismantling of American apartheid.

Mao and Mother Theresa...
Do ya think Dunn might have been juxtaposing two historical figures for comic effect perhaps?
You know, I am absolutely certain that the creators and readers of Moonbattery.com aren't drooling brainless morons... So for the life of me I can't work out why you act like drooling brainless morons.

Ptet Offensive, Dunn spent most of the time talking about Mao glowingly about how when people said how could he challenge the Chinese government with its large army, tanks and planes, and the least time talking about Mother Teresa. She never once said that Mao was an evil tyrant responsible for the deaths of tens of millions of Chinese.
Why even use a human piece of garbage like Mao as an example to begin with? Why not Martin Luther King and Mother Teresa? Both of those people sacrificed themselves to help their fellow man when many around them said they were wasting their time.
The claims of comic effect are believed only by brain dead lefties. The only laughing was nervous laughter of a few kids in the audience. And Dunn said it with a serious, straight face, not even cracking a smile.
What if Bush's spokesman had done something similar with Mother Teresa and Adolph Hitler? After all Hitler rose from nothing to inspire a nation to build Greater Germany and make its citizens proud to be German lifting them out of the Great Depression turning Germany into an industrial military power. Of course I could leave out the fact he killed millions of Jews, handicapped, enemies of the state and citizens of surrounding nations to do it! But hey, its all for comic effect!!! Thankfully Hitler went nuts, overreached by attacking the Soviet Union and had to fight a 3 front war which caused the 3rd Reichs downfall. Had Hitler not attacked the Soviets, Greater Germany would probably still exist today encompassing all of Europe an Africa and probably the middle east too.

It's very telling that lefties can't even bring themselves to say, "It was wrong to praise a brutal mass-murderer."

That woman's face in Anita's Dream II is priceless. Love the little Asian entrepreneur, too.

Saint Thomas Aquinas and Jeffery Dahmer....
just juxtaposing two historical figures for comic effect.
