Harry Reid Admits ObamaCare Will Cost at Least $2 Trillion

Posted by Van Helsing at October 15, 2009 8:29 PM

Sometimes Dems will tell you that socializing medicine won't cost anything, because government bureaucrats are so efficient that having them seize control of the healthcare sector will actually save money. At other times, they are already admitting that it will cost $2 trillion. Here's Harry Reid, arguing that Demonrats can't be bothered to stop the looting spree by the trial lawyers who bankroll them, because the $54 billion shysters like John Edwards steal is peanuts next to what ObamaCare will cost:

In reality, $2 trillion is just a starting point. The price of Big Government nationalizing healthcare will crush our economy — as intended.

You just know Harry received a phone call from Obama (like he did to the CBO director) asking him to report to the White House for a Chicago-style chat. However, like Obama, I'm sure Harry and the Donkey Party continue to claim $2 Trillion is deficit neutral.

I wouldn't worry about it. The coming hyperinflation will make two trillion seem like nothing.

Oh, wait, that's not two trillion for a single doctor's visit? Sorry, my bad.

Speaking of the trial lawyers, and I suggest this tongue in cheek, maybe the only way of stopping the collapse of our country would be to enact laws whereby individual members of congress can be sued for the harm they have done to the economy.

It would be very easy to prove the likes of Bawny Fwank guilty in a court of law. And it would be wonderful poetic justice to watch the Democratic Party get what it deserves by the very trial lawyers that have given it so much custom.
