Somewhere in the Republican Party establishment, political whizzes have developed the clever strategy of running moonbats like Dede Scozzafava, who is endorsed by Newt Gingrich. True this will cause all the energy generated by outrage against Comrade Obama's socialist policies to degenerate into despair, but it might soften the hostility of the liberal media by letting everyone know that Republicans can be liberal too.
The strategy sure worked in 2008. Running the infamous aisle-crosser John McMaverick may have allowed the radical left to elect a Marxist with no serious qualifications, but it got out the message that the GOP isn't so narrow-minded as to stand by conservative principles. Come on in, leftists! The tent's big enough for everybody!
