I wonder if they realize that they are themselves carbon-based life forms. That the term organic chemistry, refers to compounds containing carbon, oxygen and hydrogen with other elements. Do they realize the trees they hung need a lot of carbon. Denying the object of their affection is tree abuse and an offense against Gaia.

They could always try a little experiment. Set themselves on fire, what is left is carbon. But if they really want to be carbon free I will gladly accept any diamonds they'd like to send me.

Lets see the lack of a moral education vs. CO2 production....which is a bigger problem?

I am fine with this solution except for a small revision.

The US will take China's time slot of 2035 and every other country will get moved up to the earlier date.

By 2035, nobody will have reached their goal, and the US will not have wasted their time and money chasing this foolish idea.

If you actually understand what they mean, it's to be carbon NEUTRAL not totally quit emitting carbon. Our great forests across the world do a lot of work of neutralizing carbon so we CAN still breath, obviously.

Other than that I'm not a scientist. I don't tell the mechanic how to fix my car or the builder how to build my buildings so I'm not going to tell scientists how to interpret their findings (ie, Carbon emissions is a bunch of bunk.)

Why the hell does China have such a lenient timeteable compared to the US?
Consider two points:
1. China has a massively greater population than the US.
2. China tends to generate much more air pollution than the US does.
If anything, our two timetables should be switched.

"Social justice." China's per-capita GDP is lower. So is Russia's, and it too gets an easier break under existing emissions protocols.

Meanwhile, Australia which produces about 1.5% (at most) of global emissions is expected to make drastic cuts under every protocols scheme devised. Why? Its citizens have high per capita emissions. Never mind that Australia has some of the harshest weather conditions of any inhabited country, and its geography and topography make most of it uninhabitable. Australians must suffer. Why? "Social justice," when you boil down the issue. Because we (I'm Australian) have better lifestyles than the Chinese and Russians who produce more emissions than we could hope to in a decade. It's the same for America. Your lifestyles are better, thus the green religion dictates you must suffer more.

All of which is one of the best illustrations of why 'climate change' is a farce. If the earth's atmosphere is really burning off and we're all going to die in fires, floods and pestilence -- then it doesn't matter an iota who is currently better off. If anyone, anywhere thought 'global warming' was the problem they claim to believe it is, no protocols agreement would even consider excluding two of the world's three largest emitters.
