Exhibit A in Limbaugh Versus CNN et al.

Posted by Gregory of Yardale at October 15, 2009 5:30 AM

CNNHoax37.jpg
Hat tip: Powerline

Rush Limbaugh never said it. Nor did he ever say James Earl Ray should receive the Congressional Medal of Honor. But CNN, MSDNC, ESPN and others continued to repeat these lies even after informed of their inaccuracy.

And, anyway, one would think that a network that has time to fact-check SNL sketches would have time to fact-check those phony quotes.

Limbaugh should proceed with his lawsuits against CNN, MSDNC, ESPN, and perhaps even the NFL. Clearly, they spread slanderous and defamatory information about him. Clearly, they did so with malice. And clearly, he was monetarily damaged as a result.

It should be an open and shut case.

If there is any justice in the world, Rush should own CNN, MSDNC, and ESPN when the dust is settled.

Comments

Every media outlet STILL refuses to update their photos of Rush. Goes to show how childish they are.

Posted by: Anonymous at October 15, 2009 6:04 AM

That photo looks seriously updated, in photoshop. I am pretty sure Rush has more hair than that and his chin is more pronounced. This picture lookes like it has been "morphed" intentionally to look pigish.

Posted by: Professor Hale at October 15, 2009 6:08 AM

Rush should donate any settlement money to support black conservative politicians. That would make liberals heads explode as if someone stuck a CO2 pellet in their head.

Posted by: Anonymous at October 15, 2009 6:10 AM

I'd love to see Rush become the first billionaire broadcaster. And yeah, I bet he'd donate a ton of it to things like Toys For Tots, etc.

Sue Rush, sue! I've said for years that it needs some sort of law to force media to either do a front page retraction and apology for this sort of crap of suffer major money penalties or both.

Barack Hussein Obama. MMM MMM MMM

Posted by: Ron at October 15, 2009 6:26 AM

Professor Hale, it has. Rush looks a LOT leaner now, that's either an editted or an old pic. I'll gladly donate to his legal fund if needed, since it'll be a quick case. The MSM will fact check a SPOOF but openly lies about conservative opponents? That's such a huge double standard it is simply appalling.

Posted by: Jay B at October 15, 2009 6:27 AM

Rush laughs all of the way to the bank as the ratings for the Lapdog media slide into the toilet. Justice served.

Posted by: GunnyG at October 15, 2009 6:35 AM

Stop defending him, he's a shit.

Actually if he keeps talking, he'll make himself look like a bigger shit.

Posted by: Aquatarkus at October 15, 2009 6:36 AM

We the public, pay exorbitantly for the lies of the MSM in the form of the huge class of voting ignorant.
we are inevitably rewarded with anything the liberals cough up: BO, Schrillary, Palousy, etc., .

Rush should definitely sue so that for the first time, the liberal propagandists would actually have to pay for their lies.

Posted by: Fiberal at October 15, 2009 6:39 AM

Is the NFL crazy? If Rush brings a public lawsuit against his antagonists the public exposure to the NFL will be devastating. Building funds for stadiums will be at great political risk for any poilticans to pass, just to name one thing.
I think the consortium dropping Rush as a partner establishes grounds for a lawsuit against the NFL commissioner. Do the owners of the NFL teams really want this fight?

Posted by: oldguy at October 15, 2009 6:40 AM

Aquatarkus says "Stop defending him, he's a shit"

So who decided to die and let you decide who is bad or good? libturd projection again?

I don't always agree with Rush, but the CONSTITUTION says that he can say what he wants. What is so hard for the liberals to understand about this? They are so open minded their brains fell out and their skulls are filled with shit.

Posted by: Stephana at October 15, 2009 6:56 AM

Rush's old picture is simply to reinforce a liberal sterotype of an fat, angry white guy.

Liberals are such wonderful people. They have no real arguments to make, so personal insult and attack is all they have.

For way too long, Conservatives have had a 'live and let live' attitude toward the lying scum on the far left. For far too long we've let them slide with a half-hearted apology and the disappearance of the cannon-fodder foot-soldier who spread the lies.

One of the problems is that -- The left has a million 'foot-soldiers' willing to lie, cheat, slander and otherwise defame Conservatives in order to garner their fifteen minutes.

Meanwhile, the people who actually perpetuate the lies, the people in charge, who encourage the slander sit securely behind the scenes knowing that Conservatives are unlikely to get down in the mud with them and fight.

Conservatives don't like to get in the mud with liberal dirtbags. It's not our territory, it's not the battleground of choice for Conservatives. We're out of our element. liberal scum has the advantage in a mud-fight, in the dirt. That's where they live.

So what happens? We nominate a nice guy like McCain to run against the dirtiest political machine in the history of Presidential politics. We allow them to lie, lie some more, lay blame where it doesn't belong while skirting it themselves, and then -- They lie some more.

End result? We lose. End result? The far left keeps spreading their lies. They find another foot-soldier willing to say anything for his or her 'fifteen minutes.'

I'm tired of losing. Rush should sue these people and take it to Court. No settlement on the Courthouse steps. Depose them, call them as witnesses and make them testify.

Dan Rather and Mary Mapes were only the tip of the iceberg.

Sorry, Aqua, but you'd better have some solid evidence if you're going to broadcast that a person has said something as wild as they're claiming Rush Limbaugh did. It's insufficient from a journalistic standpoint to say "It sounds like something he would have said." In fact, it's that kind of sloppy thinking that got Dan Rather rightfully canned, and with any luck, this will result in a personnel change at CNN, as well.

Ahh, here comes the racist army to defend their leader. The Rush quote was cited in a book by Jack Huberman "101 People Screwing Up America" The pigman has routinely demonstrated his disregard for African-Americans and other minorities, and the NFL owners are within their right to drop him. Here's a few other gems of his.
"We are being told that we have to hope [Obama] succeeds, that we have to bend over, grab the ankles ... because his father was black."

"Obama's entire economic program is reparations."

Obama is "more African in his roots than he is American" and is "behaving like an African colonial despot."

"The media has been very desirous that a black quarterback do well."

"NFL all too often looks like a game between the Bloods and the Crips."

And the list(s) go on and on. So, can you imagine the Rams being a team of white neo-cons in a sport that is dominated by African-Americans, 77% to be exact. They'll make the Lions look like a championship team. Not to mention is drug addiction comments, which we know he was actually talking about himself. By the way, how did he lose all that weight since CPAC? Does he now send his driver out to get them?

Posted by: Ghost of Wellstone at October 15, 2009 8:45 AM

"The Rush quote was cited in a book by Jack Huberman "101 People Screwing Up America".."

So someone said it in a book? Damn, it must be true!

GoW redefines douchebaggery.

Posted by: Krieg at October 15, 2009 8:50 AM

You asked for the source of the quote, and there it is. I did not say whether or not it was fact. However, Rush has routinely stated enough other things to make it believable.

Posted by: Ghost of Wellstone at October 15, 2009 8:57 AM

This is like 1984. These things everyone thinks and is saying that he said, were never said. No one can produce a reference or a video or sound clip of Rush saying these things. The NFL and others don't want him to buy because they THINK that hes a racist deep down and have no proof so lie about it. So hes being punished for things that people think he might think. Even if he did say these things at one time what ever happened to second chances. Robert Byrd is in the Senate and Vick is playing again. Huge double standard here.
Also if you ask the players, they overwhelmingly would not mind playing for him.

Posted by: Dante at October 15, 2009 8:59 AM

Does Jack Huberman (who?) have an audio clip, GoW? If not, we're still standing here with an unsubstantiated story being pawned off as reality and not the slightest whiff of journalistic integrity in the reporting of it.

Posted by: Judith M. at October 15, 2009 9:01 AM

I read somewhere that Ghost of Wellstone is a bestial-necrophiliac who likes humping dead sheep. It's entirely consistent with the image I have of him from his posts. Therefore, it must be true.

Posted by: V the K at October 15, 2009 9:01 AM

But did you read it in book that sells for $.01 on Amazon, VtK? Because that's the real test for plausibility.

Posted by: Judith M. at October 15, 2009 9:05 AM

Dante, the drugster habitually ridicules and mocks African-Americans. Allowing him to buy into a NFL team, which is already in trouble only sours the players. That said, Rush has had second chances, third chances, fourth chances and on and on.

His comments in 2003 regarding Donovan McNabb to this "Obama has disowned his white half ... he's decided he's got to go all in on the black side." On March 21, 2008

It never ends with the pigman.

Posted by: Ghost of Wellstone at October 15, 2009 9:06 AM

You know what else strikes me as false about this story? If Rush had really broadcast this to statement to millions and millions of listeners, some of whom loathe him, wouldn't there have been some major outcry back in 2006 when it supposedly happened? There was no such eruption, was there? That alone should be enough to reject the claim that he said this on the air.

Posted by: Judith M. at October 15, 2009 9:09 AM

Actually, GoW, I think Limbaugh treats African-Americans the same way he treats anyone else, based on their behavior. In fact, I'm sure he's said worse things about certain white folks than the quotes you listed, so that pretty much shoots your theory.

Posted by: Judith M. at October 15, 2009 9:20 AM

Judith, give me a break. First, you guys wanted to know where the quote started from, I gave that to you. I never said whether it was fact. Further, you go on to say
"I'm sure he's said worse things about certain white folks than the quotes you listed, so that pretty much shoots your theory."

Now do you have transcripts or audio to back that up? If not that pretty much shoots your theory.

Posted by: Ghost of Wellstone at October 15, 2009 9:25 AM

"So, can you imagine the Rams being a team of white neo-cons in a sport that is dominated by African-Americans, 77% to be exact."

First of all, Rush would have only been a minority owner of the team. Second, do you actually believe that the new ownership would only sign white players? Or that the black players would quit en-masse? I know you're a bit obtuse, but certainly you don't believe your own words.

Right?

Posted by: Krieg at October 15, 2009 9:35 AM

Here's a transcript of Rush saying mean things about Nancy Pelosi (implying she can't be out of her mind because she doesn't have one).

http://www.rushlimbaugh.com/home/daily/site_091809/content/01125111.guest.html

It took me about 45 seconds to find this evidence, but then again, it's usually much easier to find solid evidence for claims that are true.

Posted by: Judith M. at October 15, 2009 9:40 AM

"I'm sure he's said worse things about certain white folks than the quotes you listed, so that pretty much shoots your theory."

Rush Limbaugh on white man James Carville - a "second-rate talking head."

Rush Limbaugh on white man Al Gore --- ran over an Al Gore cutout with a car on Jay Leno, which he also did with

Rush Limbaugh on white man Henry Waxman - "Henry 'Nostrilitis' Waxman."

Goatse is probably far too stupid and ignorant to know this, but Rush Limbaugh's producer is an African-American.

Posted by: V the K at October 15, 2009 9:42 AM

Judith, one white person? That's what you have have? Plus, it's the Speaker of the House, not an entire race or culture. Like "Have you ever noticed how all composite pictures of wanted criminals resemble Jesse Jackson?"

Nice try

Posted by: Ghost of Wellstone at October 15, 2009 9:44 AM

Name any peice of crap white trash in washington (Pelosy, Geithner, Frank etc.) and I'd bet a paycheck that there is documentation that Rush mocked and ridiculed them as well. Know why? I've heard him do it as well as millions of his other listeners.

And I'm sure the transripts can be had.

Not theory.

Fact.

Posted by: I call bullshit at October 15, 2009 9:45 AM

When has Limbaugh ever criticized a whole race, GoW? That's just plain libelous. None of the quotes you listed (which I'm not even sure are accurate) came anywhere near criticizing a whole race OR culture. The only thing that comes close is the Rush quote that increasingly appears to be a fabrication.

Posted by: Judith M. at October 15, 2009 9:49 AM

Since there is no justice in America, Rush is just plain screwed. The freaks have become the "Establishment", and they have no moral compass whatsoever. Render unto Obama or suffer it's wrath.

Posted by: Ted at October 15, 2009 9:52 AM

Judith, according to every left-wing Democrat, comparing black NFL to the "bloods and the crips" is pretty much racially motivated. Or stating the most wanted composites all resemble leftist hero Jesse Jackson, or telling an African American caller to "get the bone out of your nose". These are race and culture slurs according to the same people who think terms like "niggardly" and "black hole" should be banned.

Posted by: Ghost of Wellstone at October 15, 2009 9:56 AM

Oh, and GoW, Limbaugh's comment about composite sketches (if that is even authentic, I no longer trust thanks to all the left wing lies) seems a clear slam regarding Jesse Jackson's individual criminal behavior, not a slam against all African Americans.

Posted by: Judith m. at October 15, 2009 9:58 AM

Don't worry, Aquatard will be wearing a burqa soon enough.

Posted by: Henry at October 15, 2009 9:58 AM

Judith, comparing black NFL to the "bloods and the crips" is pretty much racially motivated.

To a narrow-minded racist idiot leftist like you, perhaps. But conservatives don't judge people on skin color, we judge them by behavior. And the NFL has grown relentlessly thuglike and ganglike in its behavior. (Do the words "Michael Vick" and "Plaxico Burress" mean anything to you?) It's not racial, it's behavioral.

The only racist here is you, Goatse. Why don't you stop projecting your racism onto others and go abort some black babies?

Posted by: V the K at October 15, 2009 10:04 AM

You are reaching but not grasping GoW. Go back and re-read Limbaugh's alleged comment about the NFL. He was clearly referring to specific cases where there was unnecessary, thug-like behavior in a game, not all NFL games, so it was clearly not a slam on ALL blacks in the NFL.

And the bone in the nose comment? I have no idea what the context was, but again, it was clearly a slam against that specific caller. Like I said, Limbaugh treats people as individuals rather than members of a class, and while I don't think it was the most civil thing to say, I'm SURE he would never have said such a thing to Condoleeza Rice.

Posted by: Judith M. at October 15, 2009 10:06 AM

V, you go ahead and keep telling yourself that you are not a racist. You are defending a man who historically and continuously makes what agendized far left-wingers and jealous talking heads call racially charged statements. Nice try to twist the "bloods and crips" quote though.

Posted by: Ghost of Wellstone at October 15, 2009 10:12 AM

Judith, according to Rush himself, the "bone-in-the-nose" statement was made very early in his career when he was a Top 40 DJ way back in the early 70's and he felt terrible for saying it.

Funny how liberals can forgive Roman Polansky for drugging and raping a 13 year old in the seventies, but they condemn Rush for saying something he has expressed remorse for saying.

Goatse is lucky to be one of those few sainted, perfect individuals who has never said anything he later regretted and wished he had not. It would really suck if he were just being a stereotypical obnoxious liberal hypocrite about this.

Posted by: V the K at October 15, 2009 10:15 AM

This might be helpful to this discussion.

http://www.snopes.com/politics/quotes/limbaugh.asp

At least snopes has made an attempt to sort through what is true and what is false. Regarding the "bone in the nose comment", snopes says Rush was impatient with a caller who wasn't enunciating and he regretted saying it afterwards. IOW, this was not a slam on all blacks, but the result of his impatience with one caller who couldn't get the poo out of her mouth.

Posted by: Judith M. at October 15, 2009 10:17 AM

Ha! VtK, you must be reading my mind, (or maybe I'm reading yours) because our crossed comments are starting to mirror one another.

Posted by: Judith M. at October 15, 2009 10:19 AM

Judith and V, try all you like, but Rush has a pattern of what people with left-wing agendas who can't argue with his ideas and so have to resort to personal attacks call racially charged statements. These statements date back into his early career, so it is not surprising that he gets called out on it by people who have nothing intellectual to contribute to the national discussion.

"Do the owners of the NFL teams really want this fight?"

Surely you are aware that a majority of black players said they would refuse to play for the Rams if Rush owned any part of them? That is NOT the owners, it is the players (who, as i understand it, are an important part of a football team). And I gotta say... I don't blame them. In my opinion Rush is a shitweasel, only interested in what leftists call inflammatory rhetoric for ratings. Entertainment, not anything more. And pissing off black people your entire life will, indeed, come back to bite you if/when you decide you want to join mainstream America as defined by Al Sharpton, Jesse Jackson, and Sheila Jackson Lee.

You can't hate on people your entire life and not expect there to be consequences... you'll end up like me.

Posted by: Szot at October 15, 2009 10:56 AM

The Rush racism charge is basically a big left-wing circle jerk. When the left doesn't like someone, he is labeled a racist. Then, they offer the accusations of racism as proof of the charge.

Then compare that to the Democratic base...union organizers, public employees, welfare recipients, tax cheats, child molesters, green lunatics, John Murtha's relatives, trust-fund wastes of life . Posted by: Ghost of Wellstone at October 15, 2009 12:11 PM

Well thanks for proving my point, GoW. There are white, black, Hispanic, gay, straight, rich, and poor conservatives. And yes, there are religious, atheist, uneducated, educated, pro-war, anti-war, redneck, sophisticated, hater and lover conservatives as well. The primary difference between the conservative and the liberal with respect to how we address people in different demographic groups is that conservatives unite people around an ideology. They don't say, "Hey, all you white guys, if you don't vote conservatively, you're voting against your interests". Instead (at least in the past, when the conservative movement meant something), they say, "We support individual freedom, personal responsibility, small government, etc., if these things matter to you, join us."

Liberals, OTOH, attempt to lash together groups that have nothing in common ideologically. Do you think blacks have a lot in common with homosexuals ideologically? Not really. But the lefties seek to lash these identity groups all together in a nice, tight, little fascist bundle with a cord made of victim mentality.

Posted by: Judith M. at October 15, 2009 12:19 PM

"Ahh, here comes the racist army to defend their leader."
1. Of course, according to ultra- lefties like you, expressing anger over the leftist media repeatedly attributing a quote to Limbaugh which it has been proven that he NEVER SAID, and which none of those lefties can provide any clips of, automatically means we're all a bunch of racists.
2. The vast majority of us do not consider Rush our "Leader." We agree with him on certain issues, and disagree with him on other issues. He is hardly "The Leader" of American conservatives.

Posted by: ghost of wellstoned goat at October 15, 2009 12:27 PM

All liberals are racists. All of 'em. Before they will express an opinion on an issue, they need to know the races of the people involved. It's not possible to get any more racist than that.

If anyone disputes my contention, I will reprise my earlier practice of asking the liberals their views regarding recent crimes, but after I remove racial information to help guide them. Recall the last time I did this, our liberal trolls refused to take any position because they didn't know which way their prejudice worked. The details of the crime were not enough by themselves; they needed to know the races of the perpetrator(s) and the victim(s) first before offering an opinion. And that, my fine communist friends, defines racism, coming and going.

So, up to you, Reds. Care to play again?

Objective reality to liberals is like a cross to a vampire. Nothing makes them confront their own racism more than having to render an opinion on a crime without knowing the races involved. What if they guess wrong? What would the Party say? Expel them as deviationists?

Posted by: Jay Guevara at October 15, 2009 1:22 PM

Whatever the punishment is, it must be pretty severe, because they sure seem afraid to take a chance that they might guess wrong.

Posted by: Judith M. at October 15, 2009 1:35 PM

Yep, clearly. It reminds me of the time I challenged a couple of Reds to say they loved America. Just that, no more, no qualification or prevarication, and the words stuck in their throats. Remember that?

Ghost of Wellbone: now that we know you practice bestiality ("I molest sheep"), and you predict "Obama will balance the budget," --- your words, not mine --- how can anyone take you seriously?

Posted by: d-man at October 15, 2009 1:44 PM

GoW: and that "crips" fixation of yours. Here's an excerpt of what Rush said today, edited down to minimize the space here:

"...it was a playoff game in San Diego between the Chargers and the Patriots, and the Patriots had a fourth down with a very few seconds left in the game, fourth and ball game, and the Chargers held 'em. Chargers win. Chargers were leading. Then all of a sudden a ref throws a flag, 15 yards or something for taunting, unsportsmanlike conduct, some Chargers DB had gotten in the face of some Patriots player, was doing a "you can't diss me" act and so forth, and it lost the game for the Chargers. And I praised the official for throwing the flag ... It was criticism of that kind of -- it was totally unnecessary -- it lost the ball game. Lost the ball game all for the purpose of strutting around. And what it was, folks, was criticism of a mind-set. Regardless what happens here I am a fan of the National Football League. I devote my Sundays to it."

Yeah, the guy's a regular racist...

Posted by: d-man at October 15, 2009 1:58 PM

All liberals are racists. All of 'em. Before they will express an opinion on an issue, they need to know the races of the people involved. It's not possible to get any more racist than that.

Aside from how asinine that statement is Jay, you are a two bit, lying, partisan whore, completely disillusioned from reality and objective thought process. Like a blind sheep, you mindlessly follow the objectives of this hate site in order to spin your own short comings. Surely, you understand that mainstream America is not in your lunacy corner.

Tonight, Rush is no longer ‘just’ a NFL owner denied

Tonight, Rush is us. And we are him.

Tonight Rush became the metaphor for all of us… every man woman and child in this great nation of ours.

The enemy of this great nation, the enemy of you and me, Rush’s enemy … those on the left, inside and outside of this nation abhor success … and when faced with it will destroy it … by any and all means possible.

Leftists: they can't argue ideas, but, man, can they ever spew the hate.

Bachmann, plagiarize much? Shouldn't you at least reference Eric Erickson's post if you're going to copy and paste them verbatim?

VK, I've noticed how some on the right constantly blame Obama on Bush's abject failures and then want to give Bush credit when Obama gets things going again. Historically, the GOP have thrashed the economy time and again and then want credit after Dems pick up the pieces. Some things never change do they?

Posted by: andy42302 at October 15, 2009 5:37 PM

Andy, well said. I find it funny how the right always talks about personal responsibility, except when it comes to themselves. Joan Walsh discussed this at Salon. Rush and his defenders were really that delusional to think some of these comments would not come back to him in one way or another? Especially the ones we on the left completely made up, and that were broadcast on CNN and MSNBC with no fact-checking. None of us on the left have condemned the use of these phony quotes because our pure ideological hatred of Rush Limbaugh justifies any and all slander against him. And their defense...make absurd and childish comments, and then back it up with "let the adults talk".

Posted by: Ghost of Wellstone at October 15, 2009 5:48 PM

Like you said, Evil Otto, delusional on an EPIC scale.

What is wrong with you leftists thinking the stockmarket means ANYTHING, especially on a day to day basis. Do you not remember the dot.com bubble? Do you not remember the mortgage bubble? Neither of those bull markets were based on healthy or sustainable growth. You are the suckers that arbitragers like Soros live to dupe.

Posted by: Judith M. at October 15, 2009 5:50 PM

Andy, the economy goes through ups and downs. Ups certainly have nothing to do with Presidents, who can only hurt economies. The best they can do is leave well enough alone. The Federal Reserve has vastly more impact on the economy than the President, unless the President screws the pooch. That's independent of party.

Let's examine leftist logic. You want to discourage cigarette smoking, right? What do you do? Tax cigarettes, of course. You want to encourage solar energy, right? What do you do? Provide tax breaks for those installing solar panels.

Now apply that logic to social policy. You pay people welfare for sitting around...what effect do you think that has? Make them or less inclined to work? You tax businesses for catering to others' needs and desires...what effect do you think that has?

Put it another way: what is a form of punishment applied by the criminal justice system? Fines. The only difference between a fine and a tax is the name.

Btw, my offer to come play liberal "Deal or No Deal" still stands. If you've got...the cojones.

Which I doubt.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at October 15, 2009 5:54 PM

Jay, I agree with you on at least one issue. The economy does seem to go up and down. As history shows us however, it just does better under Democrats.

Thanks for your offer to play spin the bottle or whatever silly "gotcha" game that you play but I seriously have no interest. Accordingly, I'll pass. Just chalk yourself down for a win as I'm sure that would be the outcome regardless of how I was to respond anyway.

Wellstoned devoted quite a few words to this thread. Unfortunately (For him and his pitiful argument only), he failed to offer a SHRED of real proof that Limbaugh said what CNN reported he said. No such proof exists because Rush never said those things. The man has spent three hours a day, five days a week, in front of a microphone for over TWENTY years. WHERE IS THE AUDIO OF THIS ALLEGED QUOTE? WHERE IS THE TRANSCRIPT? Media Matters monitors and records The Limbaugh show every day. How come they haven't come forward with a recording of Rush saying these things? ANSWER: Because these quotes were invented out of whole cloth by leftist liars who are incapable of using Rush's own words against him because he is RIGHT.

I have intellectual honesty; I had pre-selected the stories (i.e., wouldn't have been selecting them after the fact), and would have told you had you guessed right, i.e., in the PC way.

But you've missed my point. I don't need to know the races of the people involved in a crime, and I don't care what they are. Tell me the facts of the case, and I'll tell you what I think. I don't care whether the perps are blond and blue, or black as ink, and the same thing with the victims. Those committing heinous crimes - of whatever race, perpetrated against whatever race - should fry. It's that simple. The white clowns who dragged that black guy to death, and the black clowns who raped and murdered that white couple, should all fry.

It's a policy I highly recommend. Reflect on your own racism: why do you need to know the races involved?

Posted by: Jay Guevara at October 15, 2009 8:15 PM

As history shows us however, it just does better under Democrats.

Besides this statement being nonsense, consider the implications. Taxing business ...promotes it or punishes it? Subsidizing failing companies...encourages or discourages other iffy companies to take the hard decisions to improve their situation?

Posted by: Jay Guevara at October 15, 2009 8:20 PM

Otto, Wall Street= 10K.

That's it? That's your evidence for a recovering economy? Like I said, delusional. Wall Street is not the economy. It's not even a good barometer of how the economy is doing, because it is prone to irrational highs and steep drops that often have nothing to do with how the economy as a whole is doing. But then, I wouldn't expect an economic illiterate like you to understand that.

What's the unemployment rate, Andy? What are retailers looking at for holiday sales? How's the dollar doing? What is the long-term effect of all this government spending?

Your faith in the government is touching, really. They tell you the economy is recovering, and you believe it.

Posted by: Evil Otto at October 15, 2009 8:20 PM

Evil Otto's right. The most alarming news of all: our trading partners are proposing to replace the dollar as the reserve currency.

To economic illiterates, the problem with that is that, e.g., oil will no longer be priced in dollars, which means we can be whipsawed first by an adverse movement in the price of oil, and also by an adverse movement in the dollar exchange rate.

Why are they doing this? Because they think that Obama will either a) inflate the currency to pay our bills in funny money, and/or b) default on our obligations. Thanks, Barack.

If I actually listened to him myself, I might wind up as a conservative by the end of the week, and my whole world would come crashing down.

This is really the only question that needs to be posed in this situation. Unfortunately, those who want to see Limbaugh destroyed will place the burden of proof on El Rushbo himself, hoping he will dig himself a hole by attempting to disprove a statement that was never made in the first place. So Media Matters spends all that time and effort on a daily basis, and comes up with about bubkis, so now they have sunk to the same low as the mainstream media by using the MiniTruth process. Fabricate, and reprint, repeat. Like Vladimir Lenin said: "A lie told over and over again eventually becomes the truth." That's what they're hoping for here. Just like saying "the economy is improving!"
Bullsh!t.

To the above comments on the economy;
Jimmy Carter, like Obama, inherited a disaster that he had reasonably straightened out within 4 years.
The situation in Detroit is a result of 8 years of Bush. It held it's own for many years prior.
To blame Obama for today's unemployment represents your head in the sand. Seriously you have to admit this if you have an iota of common sense.
I've repeatedly given numbers, statistics, etc on the economic performances and they've been promptly ignored and replaced non sequitur gibberish.

Jay,

Reflect on your own racism: why do you need to know the races involved?

I've never said anything at all about race being an issue in anything. I've never implied that race is or ever should be a factor. I've never asked to know anything about any race being involved in anything. Perhaps it was a troll that used my name (as they did here on October 15, 2009 10:12 PM) on another thread? I don't know.
It is strange that you acknowledged on another thread that you were in error of calling me a pedophile yet above, you do it again. This indicates that facts and reality for you are thrown out the window and you resort to imaginary rebuttals whenever you need them. Any of your theories or lunacy that I debunk can just be regurgitated in the next thread, dispite the fact they were previously shot down. You replace dialog with diatribe by manufacturing your own argument out of thin air and then claiming victory. That's what this blog is about as there's no credibility in your state of denial.

It also indicates that the troll that pretends to be me and distorts debate is likely you (or the majority of posters here that equate to about 1 person).

So, disregarding how ridiculous, unfounded, and flat- out wrong that statement is (Had Rush EVER made ANY indication that he wanted to buy the Rams so he could turn it into an all- white team), you believe that white athletes are wusses who are completely incapable of competing against black athletes?
Now who's the racist, you hypocritical sack of garbage?
