Diversity Is Strength Is Crap

"Diversity is strength," the left likes to chant. "America's greatness comes from our diversity," they chant. Some would argue that the freedom to allow anyone to go as far and as high as their hard work, talent, and ambition can take them is at the heart of our success as a nation. The left says, no, our success as a nation depends on bean-counting to make sure people of different skin colors, sexes, sexual orientations, mental disorders, or whatever, are equally represented.
But at the same time, the left is giddy over the thought of the United States being reduced to a second-rate power by China, a country that demands rigid conformity and is rather devoid of racial diversity. (And as anyone who spent time in China will attest, their attitudes toward blacks make David Duke look like Alan Alda.)
Which would tend to make one suspect that this diversity thing may not really be the key to national greatness after all. Or, at least, that the left doesn't really believe that BS.
India, on the other hand, is very diverse culturally, ethnically, and religiously. But, as a democracy, it is not nearly so admired by the left. In fact, as Hillary and Joe Biden have shown us, cracking ethnic jokes at the expense of the subcontinent is perfectly acceptable.

Just a look at what the Marxists have done to religion should be enough to tell you how "diverse" they are.
What happens when Marxists "get" religion? It's called New Age. The unique teachings of every religion are dumped in the trash, and all that's left is melted into a uniform blob that consists of nothing but the Golden Rule, pantheism and "expanding one's mind" (which, more often than not, is done by means of certain substances).
Except Islam, which the Marxists value as their fist. (Mutualistic symbiosis: the Marxists use Islam as the fist that pounds the hated West, the Muslims use Marxism as the mouth that justifies their atrocities.) But talk about the exclusive teachings of a religion, the actual message that it brings to the world and not just a retread of thoughts that any human can arrive at by independent reasoning, and the Marxists shut down.
The Left believes in uniformity gathering all the diversities under its umbrella (or gulag, more like). The Right believes in diversity made up of many complete, self-sufficient uniformities. Never the twain shall meet.

India is more to the left's liking than you think; Goa is still after 30 years a hippy haven, and the state of Kerela is communist and has been since the 60's.
But they've got that darned capitalist thing going on up north.
On second thought, I think we're trying to apply logic to leftist thinking to explain why they embrace such bizarre contrasts (remember the gay organization for Palestine? As if they'd live 5 minutes over there!). There is no logic; there is only feeeeeeeeeeeeeling.

The de-facto motto of the United States of America is "E pluribus unum", Latin for "Out of many one". Since the beginning in 1776 this has been on the Seal of the United States, and was adopted by an Act of Congress in 1782.
E pluribus unum appears on the Great Seal of the United States, as well as on official documents such as passports. It is also on the seal of the President and in the seals of the Vice President of the United States, of the United States Congress, of the United States House of Representatives, of the United States Senate and on the seal of the United States Supreme Court, and on our national currency.
The intent of "E pluribus unum" is twofold. It originally meant that out of the various colonies and states we would be one nation, and it also implies that out of all the "diverse" ethnic groups and races, we will be one people - Americans.
A critical difference between the political Left and Right in this country is that the Left sees us as a bunch of diverse "special interest" and "victim" groups - those of us on the Right see us as One Nation......and you can add the "Under God" part to that if you want.
I know our resident trolls will whine with derision at the last two words.
They would do well to remember our official National Motto, "In God We Trust".

Why does the left push out prayer in school, try to cancel the phrase "under God" in The Pledge, and preach evolution in the curriculum while at the same time plead for tolerance of Islam? What a huge double standard. These people deserve a place in the Eighth Ring of Hell.

Actually, there's quite a bit of research indicating that diversity is damaging even from a sociological perspective.
India is more to the left's liking than you think; Goa is still after 30 years a hippy haven, and the state of Kerela is communist and has been since the 60's.
