Could the Left Maybe Tone Down the Mancrush for Brutal Tyrants?

Posted by Gregory of Yardale at October 16, 2009 7:26 PM

A commenter on the left-wing Talking Points Memo Blog knows what to do with right-wingers who don't care much for the New Marxism.

grab01.gif

One commenter on a leftist blog, right? No big deal, right? OK, it's probably not a big deal on its own, but the progressive left and the Obama administration have shown a little too much comfort with totalitarianism for my tastes.

  • Obama sides with Marxist despots Chavez and Castro against the free people of Honduras, and with the Iranian mullahs against the protesters they butcher in the street.
  • Obama professes admiration for Communist China.
  • Obama expresses disdain for the US Constitution.
  • Obama surrounds himself with radical advisers like the radical communist Van Jones, radical gay activist (and former ACT UP member) Kevin Jennings, Chavez admirer Mark Lloyd who believes broadcast media should be nationalized, Cass Sunstein who believes trees have rights, John Holdren who believes in forced sterilization and coerced abortion.... just to name a few.
  • Obama communications chief Anita Dunn describes Mao Tse-Dung as one of her most admired political philosophers. (Aside from killing 70M people, Mao also expressed a political philosophy of "Power flows from the barrel of a gun".)
  • Obama supporters like Bill Maher and Thomas Friedman also express admiration for totalitarian dictatorships, and wistfully lament that Obama cannot rule absolutely.

I might feel a little better if someone in the administration, in the media would say... "You know, we need to tone down some of this stuff. The Communist Chinese model is *not* what we want in America. Mao Tse-Dung and Che Guevara are not worthy of admiration. It isn't worth taking away people's freedom in order to accomplish a progressive agenda." Because as long as most of the left seems comfortable that people in power in this country are openly admiring brutal tyrants, those of us who are not in power are going to get increasingly uncomfortable. Because we know what the people Obama's people admire did with those who didn't go along with the program.

And it's not helpful that no one on the forum rebuked the guy who said that us "vermin" needed to be rounded up, sent to FEMA camps, and exterminated.

Comments

What a maddeningly, frustrating website is that talkingpointsmemo blog!! It is unbelievably sad that so many people are so suckered in by something as completely WRONG as what is happening in the Democratic party right now. Not ALL Dems are bad. Not ALL Reps are good. But RIGHT is RIGHT and WRONG is WRONG ... unless you're a Dem, apparently, because then "wrong is right" and anyone who thinks otherwise is a threat, a "phobic", a bigot, or a pinhead.

Tolerance works both ways, buddy. We have just as much "right" to free speech and freedom to worship as you have to be pantywaists about what we're doing. Read the Constitution sometime. It might surprise you to find out how much you DON'T know about this country and it's freedoms.

That leftist post was made by some inner city Starbucks sucka who has never had a large caliber weapon pointed at his face from 4 inches away.

That is what I read.

As disturbing as the mentality of the 'collective' leftist are, the more they rant in this way makes me feel far superior, since I am.

The libidiot who posted that will not be a survior of a 10 hour power outage, let alone stand the line against us. That libiodit thinks that others will just do the bidding..... well, most law enforcement will not.

bang!

THIS one is absotively appalling:

As a psychologist, I agree. Psychological disorders are not either/or or yes/no; they exist on a continuum, and represent extremes of qualities mood, thought, and personality features which are widespread (to a lesser degree) throughout the population at large. I don't believe MOST of these people meet actually DSM criteria for specific psychological disorders (although I could be wrong), but many are close enough that it's noticeable. Also, psychological disorders are culturally defined to some extent. Since there are a lot of these folks (and they are representative of specific subcultures) it makes seeing them as psychologically disordered more difficult to do. But they are clearly delusional (again to varying degrees). In addition, rather than treatment, they're receiving encouragement from and being egged on by people like Beck. And many of them are armed. It's frightening. I'm especially concerned for the safety of our President. I hope to god the Secret Service is really on the ball. I honestly can't think of any good or effective way to deal with them.

DEAL WITH THEM?

WTF - over?

Sadly, if you're in Commiefornia, you'll have to throw your gun at them because ammo will be impossible to get (legally).

Posted by: Title of Liberty at October 16, 2009 9:39 PM

I would like nothing more than the poster "wyt" to personally come to my door to "collect me" for one of her "FEMA camps."

It won't happen anymore than the ones who scream loudest for gun control will volunteer to be on a gun collection squad. They're squat-n-pee p*ssy-boys. I'm not sure I know a single real woman who couldn't take any of these squat-n-pee-ers' down in 0.4 seconds.

Bring it on "wyt", you freaking punk, bring it on. And bring lots of friends (if you have any).

Posted by: Jimbo at October 16, 2009 10:56 PM

The funny part will be when they come with their papers and licenses and demand to round us in camps. Guess we'll see ACORN's ranks thinned a lot that day. I'm quite ready to defend myself if needed. As I suggest for every libertarian conservative here, when the shit hits the fan, send your family elsewhere, to Canada perhaps, or wherever safe. Train your older kids to use rifles. The trolls will call me a paranoid idiot, when things will go sour and a few well placed rounds will be difference between life in a camp or fight the corrupt power? Ahem.

Posted by: Jay B. at October 16, 2009 11:22 PM

Just as many O stickers have gone away from cars in the San Franfreakshow Bay area, many of my truly liberal friends are coming to me to recommed which firearm is best for them....... blah, blah....

I laugh at most of em. "Oh, why would you even want a firearm? The police will protect you...."

Hell, even the hard and fast liberals here are starting to doubt things..... strange.

I remind them, constantly, they got what they voted for, and 'spades'.

I will state this very clearly. I believe that our American system of govermt will work out it's problems. I wish to see this Administration succeed. They are amature and small minded criminals, however, the overall system should succeed if the checks and balances are thrown too far out of kilter.

As far at the poster that this blog entry is about. I run into these assholes on an hourly basis where I work. They do not appreciate my views. I find them to be extremely uninformed, weak and narrow minded. Similar to the occasional Troll that comes here.

Van - can we get a better class of informed leftist trolls on this blog? Or did I just invoke an oxymoron?

"...send your family elsewhere, to Canada perhaps, or wherever safe."
Posted by: Jay B. at October 16, 2009 11:22 PM

I'll keep mine in the basement with my crazy aunt.

:-)

My wife & daughter are quite capable. I've watched my wife do 6-rounds with my .44 revolver as quick as she could level and pull the trigger again. Her wrist hurt for a couple of days, but at 55 years old, she is "able" (and very willing in the old sense of the word) to stand up and protect what is ours "by God". No way will my family be "sent away". They're in this as deep as all of us.

The stinking Communists didn't repel the stinking Nazis by sending the women and children to Siberia; everybody fought. Keeping that in mind, us "stinking" capitalist conservative libertarians have more to fight for than what Uncle Joe's nephews and nieces did. That makes us a huge power. Never forget that, and begin practicing the natural dominance of human liberty.

Right will always dominate, even against those who may choose to stand neutral in the face of dictatorship/socialism.

I'm ready. I've had friends and family killed by communists in places like Korea and Vietnam. Come and get me "wyt". I owe you.

I hope and pray that these pussies antie up and try to round us up....keep in mind that they'll be rounding up 98% of the US Armed Forces. What a bunch of bitches.

Alright tough guys. Feel real Manly with your guns, don't you? Making up for your lack of penises? You talk a real tough game, because you know, man to man, you couldn't get your fat asses out of your easy chairs, and away from FOX news fast enough to take anyone.

Don't worry. No one wants your guns. No one is gonna take your guns. You'll be able to shoot yourselves, each other, and your children when the accidently shoot themselves forever into eternity.

If that's what it takes for you to feel like a man, then keep your guns, little men. But, one thing is clear: You don't scare anyone.

Remember, you are a very small minority, a particularly loud and obnoxious one, but a minority nonetheless, Now you may take out a few people in your misdirected and ill-informed terrified fury, but you will never win anything. One of you nut jobs make even actually succeed in taking out the president, which is the inherent message that seethes underneath all of your heroes on Fox broadcasts, and here as well, but you will fail at everything you touch, most importantly, because you are wrong.

In the future, you people will be viewed the same way anti.civil rights activists, McCarthy era Communist blacklisters, and religious nutjobs are viewed today. Good luck, and good riddance.

To the Anonymous (trolls) at October 17, 2009 1:43 AM and 2:09 AM,Here's a message:Screw off. Until you can actually defend your great leader's actions and not slobber about how we're racist, bigoted, gun-toting red-necks, go back to your mom's basement eating pizza and krispy kremes.

How about you grow some balls, do some research, and debate us like a man. I'm sick of seeing you "anonymous" posters on this site. A bunch of sniveling, cowardly, room-temperature I.Q. assholes who think they're tough slinging incredibly overused insults at people who actually know what's going on.

Act like an adult, act like a man. Debate the issues! You know the reason why I hate the left? Because they can't come up with a logical argument/counter argument so they resort to childish name calling.

Btw, Anonymous at October 17, 2009 1:43 AM, you know the reason I like guns so much? People tend not to rob you so much when you stick a M9 in their face. Bullet beats knife. Funny how that works.

Course, since you hate guns so much, I'm sure you wished you lived in Hitler's Germany or Stalin's Russia. Nobody could have guns either, except the army and secret police. Sounds like you'd like it there.

Conservateen, Spoken like a true teenager.....You can't debate with morons. That has been proven.

There is nothing to debate here teenyboy, when people basically resort to the old "i'll shoot anyone who tries to stop me" arguments we are dealing with here.

Now, listen little boy, I hear your mom calling. Run along.

Man, today is not a good day. I'm sick, got stung by a bee, and I burned my hand.

I love this site, but its getting to the point where I don't even read the comments because of the lib trolls that have seemed to infest this place. They offer nothing but infantile insults. No debate, no reasoning, no logic. Just name calling and ducking the issues. Politics is depressing. Anybody got something to cheer me up?

Posted by: conservativeteen at October 17, 2009 2:55 AM

This site is NOT about logic, reasoning or debate teeny boy, in case you haven't noticed. In fact, this site, as the conservative "movement" HATES these things.

If that's what you are sincerely looking for, I suggest going back to school, where maybe the can teach you this stuff.

By the way, no one cares what you read or don't or what you are sick of or not.

Posted by: Anonymous at October 17, 2009 3:03 AM

And yet, you still haven't offered any counter arguments to our claim that your beloved leader is an inexperienced marxist punk. We would LOVE a debate. Just to sit down and have civilized conversation and see who's got the most compelling argument. However, your side is afraid of losing because you always uphold such ridiculous and refutable beliefs, so instead you insult us and drive completely off topic. How about this:If you can provide examples of how Obama ISN'T a socialist, I'll be happy to debate the issue in a civil setting

Posted by: Aquatarkus at October 17, 2009 4:34 AM

You want a civilized argument anonymous? Why don't you start by making a reasonable attempt to understand the situation being discussed here?

This thread leads with a comment from a liberal blog wherein the poster suggests that rounding up conservatives for no other reason than thought crimes is a good solution to the problems facing us today. Rather than acknowledge that this is Totalitarianism in its more refined form, you get your undies in a bunch because people proclaim their willingness to defend themselves against such tyranny. You, sir/m'am, are a good reason that it's impossible for the right and left to have a civilized debate. You turn a blind eye to outrageous behavior from your side but get outraged when people on our side respond predictably to threats of tyrannical behavior against them and their families. Oh, and don't criticize others for being cowards if you aren't even willing to identify yourself by a pen name so we can sort you out from the other anonymii.

OFF-TOPIC: Shocked To Find Lobbying In Obama Administration (Part 2)

Politico has an article today on a secret arrangement struck last April among corporate lobbyists, the Obama administration, and Senator Max Baucus, exchanging favorable treatment for corporate interests for advertising dollars in support of Democratic health care reform:

At a meeting last April with corporate lobbyists, aides to President Barack Obama and Sen. Max Baucus (D-Mont.) helped set in motion a multimillion-dollar advertising campaign, primarily financed by industry groups, that has played a key role in bolstering public support for health care reform.

The role Baucus’s chief of staff, Jon Selib, and deputy White House chief of staff Jim Messina played in launching the groups was part of a successful effort by Democrats to enlist traditional enemies of health care reform to their side. No quid pro quo was involved, they insist, as do the lobbyists themselves.

The result has been a somewhat unlikely alliance between an administration that came into power criticizing George W. Bush for his closeness to Big Business and groups such as the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America and the American Medical Association.

No "quid pro quo" involved? Of course not. I truly believe that no one at the meeting said, "give me this for that." Just a nod and a wink, and presto, these corporate interests spent millions of dollars on advertising in support of the Democrats. And, completely by coincidence, struck deals to get favorable treatment under proposed legislation (or so they thought, we'll see when the final bill is revealed).

Currently existing Executive orders:

Executive Order 10995 provides for the takeover of the communications media.

Executive Order 10997 provides for the takeover of all electric, power, petroleum, gas, fuels, and minerals.

Executive Order 10988 provides for the takeover of food resources and farms.

Executive Order 10999 provides for the takeover of all modes of transportation, control of highways, seaports, etc.

Executive Order 11000 provides for mobilization of all civilians into work brigades under the Government supervision.

Executive Order 11001 provides for Governmental takeover of all health, education and welfare functions.

Executive Order 11002 designates the Postmaster General to operate a national registration of all persons.

Executive Order 11003 provides for the Government to take over
airports and aircraft.

Executive Order 11004 provides for the Housing and Finance Authority to relocate communities, designate areas to be abandoned, and establish new locations for populations.

Executive Order 11005 provides for the Government to take over
railroads, inland waterways and public storage facilities.

All of these were combined into Executive Order 11490, which was signed by President Carter on July 20,1979. [Thanx, Jimmuh. Behind that stupid grin lies an evil mind.]

If the POTUS declares a national emergency for any reason, FEMA can enforce these Executive orders, take over all local, state, and national governments, and suspend the Constitution.

It's completely un-Constitutional. But so are executive orders that were never passed into law by Congress.

These things worked well in countries accustomed to blind obediance. Those 'revolutionaries' also had the standing Army on their side or a standing Army of their own as in Mao's Eighth Route Army.

Unusual circumstances there, however. China had just experienced a blood bath at the hands of the Japanese and the common soldier of Nationalist Army wasn't really in the mood for a fight.

It also didn't help that Roosevelt (at Yalta) and Truman (at Potsdam) sold the Nationalist Chinese out to the Russians, putting radical, revolutionary communists right on the doorstep of of China when they GAVE them Manchuria, N Korea and Sakhalin Island.

But they were democrats, which means they were stupid. What else can you expect?

Point being, the liberal wet dream of putting all of us bad old Conservatives into concentration camps can't be accomplished without the help of a standing Army. Ridiculous to even think so.

Mental masturbation on the part of libscum. But, that is what they spend most of their time doing anyway. Mental or otherwise.

I'll start to worry when the dims start trying to infiltrate and compromise the Army with their own kind. Until then, their ideas are just good for a laugh.

The thing I find funny about people on the left espousing these ideas of rounding people up that don't agree with them, and putting them in camps... they don't realize that they'll probably end up in one too.

I also find hilarious the statement "We (the real Americans, the good and sane people) will have to round them up and put them in FEMA camps."

Putting people who don't blindly follow their insane ideology into prison camps is a "good and sane" idea? Haha! That's the best joke I've read all week.

Obama's best bud, Bill Ayres, said that "when the revolution comes" they would have to imprison and/or kill 25 MILLION Americans. At the time, that was about one in nine people.

The Liberal pansies just don't get why communism has had such a hard time in this country; he fact is that "the poor" and "the rich" are not that far removed in the US. Many born into the lower ecconomic levels have become middle or upper-class by virtue of their labor, inovations, drive and luck. In other countrys, people tend to stay in the wealth class they were born to, making them ripe for communist poison. In America, communists are most often the rich and privledged, which is strange since communism CLAIMS to be all about lifting up "the down-trodden masses". Watch for the posters who denounce "the rich" making fortunes by "keeping the poor in poverty". They are 100% commie, weather they know it or not.

We want the government to leave us the hell alone, stop taking so much of our money, stop regulating everything under the sun, quit bailing out private companies, enforce the laws, put crooks in jail and fix the damn potholes.

Yet somehow, we're the ones with psychological disorders. I'll bet you dollars to donuts that the average conservative is a lot saner (and happier) than the average liberal.

The trouble with crazy people is that they don't know they're crazy, and consequently they stay far from help. Worse, they project that craziness onto others.

The stinking Communists didn't repel the stinking Nazis by sending the women and children to Siberia; everybody fought.

The way the war is depicted in movies, it looks to me like the men are the ones who fled to Siberia, carrying the food, weapons, and manufacturing equipment with them.

The women were left behind to slow the advancing Nazis down (and be raped by German soldiers). From what I can tell, all the Soviets cared about was their war making ability - meaning the men who were young and fit to fight. Everyone else was seen as a drain on the resources of The State.

"Cylar at October 17, 2009 8:41 PM"

That's true. It's documented and admited to by the Russians that the second-rate troops and "volinteers" were forced into a delaying action for the main forces.

The USSR also used the threat of pulling out of the war as a theat to get more material from the US. In fact, they demanded (And got) the first couple of weeks production of bazookas while the batch from the subseqent weeks had to be FLOWN to the ships carrying US solders headed for North Africa and the GIs had to train enroute.

While everyone was fighting WWII, the commies were preparing to spread "the glorious revolution" around the world.

Posted by: KHarn at October 18, 2009 7:54 AM

Bazookas, huh?

I remember reading that while FDR and Uncle Joe were meeting at Yalta, FDR asked Stalin if he needed anything for his march to Berlin. Ammo, bombs -- Whatever.

Stalin replied that he really didn't need any war supplies but that he was running low on condoms for his troops. Seeing as how they were about to go into populated Germany, he thought it prudent to have a good supply of them.

FDR smiled and asked, "What size?" Stalin replied, "Large, of course."

So when FDR got back to the US he ordered 500,000 condoms to be made in the largest possible size. He also ordered that "Texas Medium" be printed on each and every one.

Posted by: Uncle Rick at October 18, 2009 9:44 AM

Bah. In retrospect, it would have been better for the US to stay out of the European war and let Germany and the USSR beat each other up. Build up American forces in England to make sure the Nazis couldn't invade across the English Channel.

After the Nazis and Soviets had destroyed each other, I would invade with the UK at our side, and drive from Normandy clear to Moscow and occupy the whole kit'n kaboodle along the way. Neither side would have been able to offer much resistance.

Think about it. The US could have put an end to both of these totalitarian powers in one fell swoop. The entire Cold war might have been prevented, and millions and millions of people could have lived free all those years.
