It's the plants I pity. If greenies were successful in reducing CO2 enough on a global scale so that it affects the temperature then it would seem it would also affect plant life by restricting the amount of CO2 available to them. Fortunately for us and plants greenies are fools.

This is straight up child abuse in my mind. Innocent, little children turn their eco-Nazi parents for safety, guidance, and comfort, but what do they get instead? Massive doses of delusional eco-babble and "The world is going to end!" BS philosophy, which in turn will scare the hell out of them and, as stated above, turn them into "...nervous wrecks who expect the world to end in their lifetimes, or cynics so used to being lied to that they don't believe even in things that are real."

Apart from the glaring evidence that AGW is a fraud of monstrous magnitude, what is really scary is the ability of the academic aristocracy to hypnotize the masses into accepting junk in the name of science.

Modern, government-funded science is the biggest player in the intellectual imperialism of the left. Science is political, which means science is manipulative, which means science is potentially dangerous. Politics infects everything it touches, and science, by entering into the realm of politics, has poisoned itself and can have a toxic effect on anything it chooses to touch.

For the sake of saving honest science, good people must be made aware of how much science has been politicized and how it is used to push a leftist agenda. Without this awareness, we will be at the mercy of unscrupulous propagandists, bullying academics, and coercive and corrupt politicians. And we will forever bow to the central planners who rule in the Tyranny of Science.

Unfortunately, the "grown ups" don't always understand how their behavior affects children. There have always been, and will likely always be, some kids who are more sensitive and more inclined to be "scardy cats" who are most vulnerable to developing fears. I was one of those, and that little girl reminds me of me.

My father was a firefighter, who tried to keep us kids safe by telling us some horrible things to keep us from doing things that could harm us... like describing in detail what that kid looked liked 3 days after they "pulled him out of Cranberry Pond"... and that circus fire in the 40s where tigers escaped, and the Molasses flood in Boston.

Disney gave me nightmares -- Fantasia with those dinosaurs and ghosts, all those scary witches, and most of the TV programs that seemed to always have some mountain lion jumping out from the trees onto some kid, or some rabid animal. I was terrified of the Wizard of Oz's flying monkeys... and had nightmares about T-rex, tigers, grizzly bears, and various rabid animals chasing me.. and nightmares about getting bubonic plague, Rocky Mountain Spotted Fever, and rabies.

Thus I was a fearful child who grew up to be a fearful adult (yup, a nervous wreck who took drugs for a time to try to calm my fears - only that all produced "bummers" which scared me ever worse, so at least I stopped). I've been too scared to do a lot of things or at the very least has had to struggle to overcome my fears. Didn't ever get learn to drive until I was 38 (too scared), didn't ever marry (too scared to get hurt againm after a relationship went bad), have stayed on jobs too long where I was being abused by the boss (too scared to risk losing my job and my income). Apparently this affected my one and only son also, as he is now grown and rarely talks to me because he said I made him scared of everything.

The only thing a kid like that has going for them, is sometimes your fears will make you work to prepare yourself for the worse. So teach your kids to hunt, fish, garden, preserve foods, make soap, sew, cook, and other survival skills... as they may well need them once Chairman Zero and his Czars are thro with us! Having taught myself a bunch of those things, I'm actually not as afraid of the current recession and political nightmare as I might have been.
