Never has this country been so humiliated. The three stooges (Barry. Michelle. OP-RAH). This was just pitiful. The most disgusting part of this was that the Stooges used our money to make fools of us.

How much is the founder Al Gore going to make on this?

From the UK Times Online Edition: Chicago’s dismal showing yesterday, after Mr Obama’s personal, impassioned last-minute pitch, is a stunning humiliation for this President. It cannot be emphasised enough how this will feed the perception that on the world stage he looks good — but carries no heft.

Could be he's in need of a new theme song!

Bronze, Silver, Gold...pooh.
The windy city's medal metal would have been lead.

I think that the picture is a good illustration of what the central theme of the Mission to Copenhagen was in the first place: 3 self-obsessed, Media-created Black racialist "idols" out to seek more worshippers the world over.

Exactly what the hell did he think Oprah could do to persuade them and why did we pay to ship her huge butt over there (I know balance for Michelle's).
It's true, this is the BEST web site on the intertubes!!

Rachel Maddow eviscerates Right for celebrating American defeat: http://www.dailykostv.com/w/002209/
I'm sure you won't click-through, but if you do, it'll be the best 4:09 of journalistic integrity you could wish for.
Posted by: Anonymous at October 3, 2009 11:31 PM
Anon, I guess you think we're supposed to feel "eviscerated" by that video?
Nope. Sorry, I feel just fine. That whole "let's try to shame them" thing doesn't work any more.
We've had enough of the left's attempts to manipulate the population through the "pity the poor victim" routine. You'll need to find another tactic.
Your candidate won, you've got the easy majority in Congress, you should be out celebrating your victory and getting a job to pay for that insurance that your new prez is going to force you to buy.
Enjoy your choice.
(Oh and BTW, I think it's rather nice that South America will finally get a chance to host the Olympics. Since the US has had it three times, it's not a condemnation of the country, or Chicago, it's an equitable sharing of the honor of the games with a developing nation. Obama brought his embarrassment on himself, by trying to play Superman again. It's ridiculous, and damaging to the security of the country - I can't figure out what his handlers were thinking, letting him do this right now with everything that is going on at home. I'm beginning to think they haven't got a shared brain cell between any of them.)
Anyway.....Congratulations to Rio. You deserve to have a chance to host the Games.

"Posted by: TED at October 4, 2009 4:39 AM"
Isn't that the truth? =(
Posted by: Judith M. at October 4, 2009 4:48 AM
Maddow just doesn't get it. She starts with the unspoken and unfounded premise that we (the majority of the US populace) wanted the Olympics here, and that it would be a good thing. False premise rejected. The rest is obvious.

Don't give up on Zero yet. Being that there are more "dark" people in Brazil he could say, "It's because I'm white, isn't it!!!". he can play both ends of the race card.

You ARE being sarcastic linking rachel madcow with journalistic integrity, right? If not, you have a lot of work ahead of you.
Posted by: Mr Evilwrench at October 4, 2009 8:04 AM
The left is just pissed off because they know that Obama's epic FAIL in Denmark adds 5 to 10 % to the possibility of health care legislation failure. Similarly, that is the underlying reason we conservatives are enjoying it so much. Leaders who lose a battle get a few less followers willing to fight hard in the next one. And of course, if health care goes down, then the entire liberal rewrite-America project is at grave risk of systemic failure as a totality. Thus the gloating on our side and the incessant pouting about our gloating on the other.

Maybe he could go to Williamsport and try to get the Little League World Series moved to Chicago. You know, start with something that's more his speed.

More up Obama's ally would be to hold a major news conference declaring the ground rule double canceled due to unfairness, since it depends on the stadium and all stadium are different. Then, when Americans speak up and tell him to F off and not get involved in this, he'll announce that it's a dire crisis, a total emergency, and if we don't do something about it RIGHT NOW, baseball will be doomed. When people laugh and ignore him, Congressional Democrats will draw up a 5,000 page piece of legislation to regulate baseball stadiums to ensure that all future ground rule doubles are guaranteed the same probabilities of success. When polls show 93 % of Americans can't effing believe what these clowns are doing, they will then go ahead and do it anyway.
Posted by: mega at October 4, 2009 11:12 AM
But what about the DH rule? Why are pitchers disenfranchised from the voting batter's box? They toil and sweat in the field, but never reap the rewards of their efforts. Others, Republicans probably, idly sit on the bench and take the at-bats that rightfully belong to pitchers.
No sweat for pine tar!

Mega... most concerning is I don't find that too hard to believe...
Posted by: AmericanToTheCore at October 4, 2009 11:35 AM
The problem was, the folks in Chicago heard about all the bribes that went into scoring an Olympiad, but what they did not understand was THEY were the ones who were supposed to be handing OUT the bribes, not the other way around.

Yesterday, I was thinking, a site for the Olympics or anything else? Choices: Rio, Tokyo, Madrid or Chicago? Who in their right mind would choose CHICAGO? It would be like buying a new Saturn.
Posted by: apostle53 at October 5, 2009 3:32 AM
And to Gregory of Prescott's point, that's the overwhelming reason I did not want the Olympics for Chicago. A 100% corruption-free transaction would become impossible to find. Even buying a pack of smokes would be fraught with kickbacks, influence peddling, and grease. The IOC and Chicago in bed together? Just too revolting to contemplate.
Actually, king zero should have known that. It may have resulted in an impeachable offense, IMO.
