Big Brother Signs Thought Crime Law
Posted by Gregory of Yardale at October 29, 2009 7:58 AM
Yesterday, Chairman Zero signed Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. Hate Crimes Prevention Act, which makes it illegal to think the wrong thoughts while you beat somebody to death.
I can't comment on this better than Colorado Patriot, so I won't.
I, too, am disgusted by the crimes against Matthew Shepard and James Byrd, Jr. I am glad that those who perpetrated these villainous acts against Shepard are currently each serving two consecutive life sentences. They will never again see the light of day. Meanwhile, two of the three murderers of Byrd are awaiting their executions while the third is currently serving life in prison.
What must be realized, however, is that the fates of these five men are symbols of how the justice system in America worked without the need for a hate crimes act.
I will add the same comment I made in Ace's thread, though. Matthew Shepard wasn't murdered for being gay, he was murdered for drug money after he left a bar with a pair of meth-heads he expected to have a menage-a-roughtrade with. In a sane society, he would be a cautionary example, not a celebrated martyr.
BTW: Yesterday, another conviction was handed down in a case where several African-American thugs tortured, raped, and murdered a young white couple. You may not have noticed this case because unlike the cases of Matthew Shepard and the Duke Lacrosse Players, the mainstream media aren't much interested in this case. Wonder why.

It's going to get interesting to see this law applied when a group of Muslims kills a gay person.

Why has the press ignored a possible assassination attempt on Lou Dobbs?
Three weeks ago, CNN host Lou Dobbs and his wife survived a drive-by shooting at their home in New Jersey. At the time of the attack, Dobbs’ wife was outside of the home, standing in the driveway.

You guys are so bent on distorting the murder of Matthew Sheperd. The murderers testified that he was "targeted for being gay", and later say it was for drug money. However, you do not torture someone in order to rob them. That President Obama signed this bill is a good thing, yet you guys attempt to mock it simply because Sheperd was gay.

The Anonymous Retard (a.k.a. Ghost of Wellstone) bases his version entirely on Lifetime movies about Matthew Shepard. The actual investigation, and the testimony of the killers, as revealed in the link, says otherwise.

This law does nothing to stop the real hate crimes. The inner city animals that kill each other, and sometimes a white person also.
The killers in this case got what they deserved, why do they need a special law? Because progressive libtards shit out their brains and have to pass anything just to feel good.

South Park LOL what a witty guy! I seen that one haha. Great sense of humor greg, and at least you will never be confused with Dennis Miller, simpleton cartoon dopeheads are right up your alley ;)

Once again a troll that backpedals into insults because the facts don't meet it's libturd criteria.
Posted by: Farmer Ted at October 29, 2009 9:16 AM
Only in the bizarro world of liberalism does it matter more if a person is killed for being gay rather than killed for their money or just because the person annoyed them.
Murder should be tried as murder, period.

Attention freedom-loving Americans:
Avoid homosexuals at all costs! If you happen to be in the vacinity of a homosexual, you are at risk of being haulded off to jail if you look at them the wrong way.
If you value your freedom and good reputation, DO NOT allow yourself to be sent to the heterosexual gulag simply by disagreeing with the homosexual lifestile, which is where this will eventually lead.
The best way to avoid this is to avoid the hell out of any homosexual. Your life depends on it.

Are these dumbasses just begging for blood in the streets (including their own)?
Posted by: Mr Evilwrench at October 29, 2009 1:37 PM
Ah, evilwench, make it worse by inciting more violence. It is ironic, at Moonbattery, hours ar spent criticizing Islam for their needless attacks on gays and adultery, yet the Christian Taliban do metaphorically the same thing in America. You preach "my freedoms are being taken away" (which they haven't) yet, you don't want to grant those same freedoms to someone being themselves. Now we have laws in place against hate crimes, call it what you want.
Posted by: ghost of wellstone at October 29, 2009 1:55 PM
gow, everybody already has the same freedoms, OK?
Everybody can
marry someone of the opposite sex providing they are old enough, unrelated and not already married, which also has to apply to them the same for everybody
What u r arguing 4 is special rights where others get prvileges normal people dont want.
FAIL
But this is not about marriage, it's about the fact that crime is already prosecuted but apparently killing a normal person is not as bad as killing someone who goes around sticking their penis into anther mans butt
this world is going psycho - I'd love to see the 'tolerance' of those Islamites towards these perverts, maybe then they'll realize they were the ones who destroyed America
Posted by: Stephan at October 29, 2009 3:55 PM
And get lost with your stupid tags such as 'christian taliban'. Just show me ONE example of Christians forcing women by law to wear full length dress and stopping them from getting an education.
you really are the very worst class of troll
Posted by: Stephan at October 29, 2009 3:58 PM
Stephan, you apparently miss the point. People of sexual orientation and race (even white)are targeted for that reason alone. Passing this bill makes it a harsher crime. Further, you mentioned marriage amongst gays, which you apparently have an issue with...I hope you sort that out. You do however fail to mention black women being targeted for sexual harassment for being black, you fail to mention gays and minorities not being hired because of race, you fail to mention that young male prostitutes are being targeted by straight men.
So, your tactic after I use "Christian Taliban" appears to have confused you. While I do not carry any religion, nor does God, it is foolish to deny people rights based on religion. So, by your standard of "I'd love to see the 'tolerance' of those Islamites towards these perverts" is no better than theirs. Women are unfortunately forced to dress in a certain manner and denied education by many Islamic men. In your world many men and women are denied the right to love, marry, get a decent job or get killed based on their sexual preference. Explain the difference, I would love to know.
Next!!!!
Posted by: ghost of wellstone at October 29, 2009 4:36 PM
LOL gow, thank you for your ignorant post - I needed a laugh. So let's begin:
For the record, I actually dismiss the idea of 'orientation' as if it was 'identity', because as far as I'm aware, male is something I'm born with, like skin colour. But, what I do with that sexual identity would be behavioural and can be changed. So I've stopped calling people 'gay', much the same as I am not 'heterosexual'. What you do (heterosexual behaviour) is not the same as what you are (male). Calling yourself 'heterosexual' enables those with perverse sexual proclivities to tie that to their identity and get all offended when you tell them such rocket science such as an erect penis fitting quite nicely in a vagina as opposed to an anus.
And you actually ADMIT that the scales of justice have now been tipped away from impartial application of the law towards minority groups. That is just crap, pure and simple. The law is the law. Murder is wrong, and it isn't more or less wrong if you murder someone black or in the middle of sodomy. So the only difference that can be ascertained between crimes as a result of this 'hate crimes' Bill will be by lawyers and courtroom people engaging in the act of mind reading to determine motivation, rather than concentrating on the material facts of the case. Lawyers are rich enough. Society doesn't need to make them richer. And it certainly shouldn't jail or fine people for stating biological facts.
LOL you comment about God - so you don't adhere to any common revelation about God, but you know all about him? Idiotic. The difference is between your 2 ideas is simple - a woman never decides to be anything but a woman, but anybody can stop having sex with someone of the same sex at anytime. YOU are confused over identity with behaviour.
So, answer my question - Just show me ONE example of Christians forcing women by law to wear full length dress and stopping them from getting an education.
Game. Set. Match.

Well, Stephan. Apparently you are a bit lost. As you were born a man, many homosexuals were as well. It is proven that it is in the genes. Let me guess, science confuses you as well? This is where those that have homophobic tendencies are incorrect. Many try to hide behind their own masculinity or God, you are simply wrong...as usual. Throughout history, gays have existed. Given the acts of the Romans, the French, Asia and early America, they exist. And it is their identity, it is who they are. We can choose to accept gays or display bigotry to them. I can guess your approach.
The laws have not been tilted, but expanded. There is something called Amendments that have been applied to our Constitution, you might want to look it up. By your approach, it seems abolishing slavery was a bad idea, because most slaves were African American, and it was "tipped" to a minority. This shallow thinking is why conservatives have trouble attracting young voters. Cultures evolve, they always have.
You also seem to think that Atheists just disregard God, without any knowledge. Being a skeptic requires experience, and research to come to a conclusion, hence, thought. You attempt to take the word of the Bible for every it's not. You think it's fact. Yeah, there's 72 virgins waiting for you as well.
My comparison in "Christian Taliban" has nothing to do with the length of a woman's dress, but how you wish to dictate your standards on those who differ from you, or wish to achieve more. If you stymie minorities or others in order to preserve your own imaginary community, you are delusional.

EXTREME projection from one of the Loony Left's looniest whores and baby killers.

"Throughout history, gays have existed."
(Wrong on that identity/behaviour thing again, but I'll let it pass.) Well, DUH. I have read about Sodom and Gomorrah you know. That actually predates the Romans and the rest of your examples by a few years, what do you think?
And sorry, but that ludicrous comparison with the civil rights movement must be called out for the lying manipulative crap it is. As well as again confusing behaviour with identity. Every single day a black person is alive they are black. No choice. Since the day they were born. But who you sleep with is clearly behaviour, got it? I have heard from blacks who absolutely despise the militants hijacking their history. There is nothing inherently unhealthy or infertile about being black, unlike homosexual behaviour. There is simply NO comparison to the abolition of slavery whatsoever. Answer me this - what percentage of blacks voted against Prop 8 last November?
As far as dictating to others about standards - in a thread about a thought crime bill, that is mind-bogglingly obtuse. What is it that you think the government has just passed if it can't be defined like you say: "you wish to dictate your standards on those who differ from you."
FAIL.
Posted by: Stephan at October 29, 2009 10:22 PM
And as far as your stupid idea that 'gay' is genetically caused, try this quote:
"Despite common assertions to the contrary, evidence for biological causation does not have clear moral, legal, or policy consequences. . . . No clear conclusions about the morality of a behaviour can be made from the mere fact of biological
causation, because all behaviour is biologically caused. (Sexual and Relationship Therapy 18:4 [Nov. 2003], 432)
...written by two “essentialist” and pro-homosex scientists, Brian Mustanski and J. Michael Bailey.
In plain English, the idea that homosexual behaviour (note that THEY used the word) is genetically caused is a dead duck. It would prove nothing one way or another (and note also that their argument assumes none has been found)
FAIL.

Matthew Shepard wasn't murdered for being gay, he was murdered for drug money after he left a bar with a pair of meth-heads he expected to have a menage-a-roughtrade with.
Never let cold, hard facts get in the way of a good opportunity for social engineering.
Posted by: Cylar at October 29, 2009 10:53 PM
Try to recall, everyone - this outrage isn't about the homosexual lifestyle per se or its practitioners.
It's about the government yet again criminalizing something which was already illegal - murder, assault, etc - but adding an enhanced penalty simply because some kind of prejudice or bigotry was found in the mind or heart of the attacker.
Apart from the obvious (what the hell difference does the prejudice make to the victim?) this is bad law simply because it will not apply equally to everyone.
As for the question about how this will affect "hate crimes" perpetuated by Muslims - I predict that law enforcement and the legal system will look the other way in favor of political correctness and "cultural sensitivity." I say this because I saw how quickly liberals turned on gays amid the Larry Craig airport bathroom scandal.
And Ghost of Wellstone? You are the very worst kind of troll. It's a waste of time arguing with someone whose thinking is THAT twisted.
Posted by: Cylar at October 29, 2009 11:01 PM
True, Cylar, but this thread would not even be here were it not for the lifestyle. There are any number of different minorities, people who crochet, people who like broccoli, Obamabots, but why should they get special treatment above others...
...oh, never mind...

GOAT OF WELLSTONE;
Once upon a time in the United States, there was something called "equal in the eyes of the law". This "hate crimes" crap will create a PRIVLEDGED class, which seems just fine with you Liberal idiots.
Just remember, YOU will be subject to the "hate crimes" act and will have to be carefull of what you do and say. Even if it seems innocent and inoffensive to YOU, somebody could claim to be "offended". Keep in mind that because of YOU LIBERALS, it doesn't even have to be the person you were addressing, SOMEONE ELSE can be "offended" for them.

@Anonymous at October 29, 2009 8:43 AM: "you do not torture someone in order to rob them".
In S.Africa people are tortured by robbers. A favourite is to use a hot iron to burn the victim. Sometimes it's to extract information as to where the safe is, or the keys, or whatever. One guy was glued to his exercise bike - sounds funny but he was subjected to humiliation. And of course beating up is a form of torture that gives the perpetrator sadistic pleasure. Greed, crime, hatred, violence, drugs, sexual promiscuity, perversion, abuse (mental, physical, sexual), are all manifestations of innate, unregenerate, sinful human nature.
