I studied economics in high school and college and took a full year of physics at the university level (straight A's). However, it doesn't take formal education in economics to understand that taking money from people who are in a position to create paying jobs with their excess money and giving it to people who can only spend it is not a sustainable program for economic growth.

The rich getting richer does not concern me nearly as much as the government making everyone else poorer. And Karen is absolutely right. The rich aren't stuffing their money into their mattresses, they are looking for places to invest it so they can make more money. That's how jobs are created and the poor learn the skills they need to get ahead in the world.

You have the attention span of a gnat. I originally said that Obama doesn't know anything about economics OR gravity (trickle up economics, derrr...). Gravity is something you study in Physics. Insofar as the society is free as a whole we enjoy economic freedom. So when Leftists like our anonymous troll deride the free market and imply that we need to abandon it, what they are actually trying to accomplish is to destroy what Capitalism is based on: a free society. They wish to take over society and force everyone to do as they think is right - they wish to destroy the foundation of the free market and that foundation is freedom and liberty.
