Beck Bits: You Know You're Turning Socialist When...

Posted by The MaryHunter at October 27, 2009 2:25 AM

The writing is on the wall, as Glenn Beck explains:

You know you're turning socialist when... the French president is less interested in redistributing wealth than the American one:
President Sarkozy, March 2009: "I was not elected to raise taxes [but] to reconcile France with the workplace and factory."
President Obama, February 2009: "The past eight years have discredited once and for all the philosophy of trickle-down economics -- that tax breaks, income gains, and wealth creation among the wealthy eventually will work their way down to the middle class. In its place, we need economic opportunity to trickle up."

"We need economic opportunity to trickle up"

Now there's a guy who doesn't understand economics OR the law of gravity.

Posted by: 3bus at October 27, 2009 4:41 AM

Apparently she does a LOT more then some half wit troll loberal. What does some hippie azzhole on welfare know about economics who's party has destroyed the economics in this country!?

Posted by: TED at October 27, 2009 4:42 AM

loberal = a particular combination of slob and liberal.

Posted by: TED at October 27, 2009 4:43 AM

TED, if you don't understand the basics of the English language, how can I take your thoughts on economics seriously?

Posted by: Anonymous at October 27, 2009 4:44 AM

Can we get a better, new & improved, wittier grade of troll around here? I thought we had standards.

Posted by: Karin at October 27, 2009 5:20 AM

Karin we do have standards, trolls don't.

Posted by: Farmer Ted at October 27, 2009 5:41 AM

"like you do, judith?"

I studied economics in high school and college and took a full year of physics at the university level (straight A's). However, it doesn't take formal education in economics to understand that taking money from people who are in a position to create paying jobs with their excess money and giving it to people who can only spend it is not a sustainable program for economic growth.

Posted by: Judith M. at October 27, 2009 5:52 AM

By the way TROLL, A new survey says the Dems represent the wealthiest districts in America, SO, if you really want to stick it to the man, hippie, vote Republican! ;-)

Hippies

Conservative blogs are the FEW places where you can do something to the Democratic party and trolls --AT THEIR EXPENSE-- for a CHANGE!! ;-)

Posted by: TED at October 27, 2009 6:19 AM

Good for you Judith! No doubt the trolls wonder what an edumacation is...

Posted by: Stephan at October 27, 2009 7:04 AM

Mao Si Tung was by far the worse mass murderer of the 20th century and still a ding-bat liberal ANITA DUNN thinks he was a great person HOW DUMB ARE MOONBATS ANYWAY?

Posted by: SPURWING PLOVER at October 27, 2009 7:43 AM

That's right Judith. Give the rich more money. Only problem is the rich tend to keep the it and it doesn't "trickle down" at all. What happens is the rich get richer. But you serve your masters well, Judith. They are proud of you.

Has never worked-that's why it's called Voodoo Economics.

And I'm not sure how a year of Physics at a Univerity helped you shape your economic views, but whatever.... The school probably isn't accredited anyway.

Posted by: Anonymous at October 27, 2009 7:55 AM

But my point was: Glenn Beck the former hack radio Morning Zoo second rate comedian turned cry baby, bad acting political commentator? HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHBWBBAAAAHAAAAHAAHAHA!!!!!!!

well, at least he's learned how to make money off of the stupidest people in America. There is a sucker born every minute. Beck proves that.

Posted by: Anonymous at October 27, 2009 8:02 AM

Do you think rich people take greenbacks, stuff them in jars and bury them in the backyard? No, they either invest it in businesses, who in turn grow and provide jobs, which we desperately need in this country, or they spend it on stuff, which provides jobs, which we desperately need in this country.

"Trickle-Up" is the true voodoo economics. Giving poor people some free money pretty much benefits only the corner liquor store. I see it on welfare day around here with my own eyes.

Posted by: Karin at October 27, 2009 8:07 AM

Looks like the left's plan to incite class warfare is going swimmingly among its voter base, as well as their ability to get people not to think things out to their logical ends.

Posted by: Seamus at October 27, 2009 8:18 AM

Looks like annonopussy has drunk to much kool-aid. Businesses hire people. They then pay the people. They also pay taxes. Now what does the government do? It takes the money an shoves if up your ass. The libtards have been trying to end poverty for over 40 years. It didn't work.

"That's right Judith. Give the rich more money. Only problem is the rich tend to keep the it and it doesn't "trickle down" at all. What happens is the rich get richer. But you serve your masters well, Judith. They are proud of you."

The rich getting richer does not concern me nearly as much as the government making everyone else poorer. And Karen is absolutely right. The rich aren't stuffing their money into their mattresses, they are looking for places to invest it so they can make more money. That's how jobs are created and the poor learn the skills they need to get ahead in the world.

"Has never worked-that's why it's called Voodoo Economics."

Ha! Well, if a bunch of socialists call the free market "voodoo economics," that's pretty damning, isn't it? I guess mouthing catch phrases substitutes for thinking in your circle of fools, but you'll have to do a little better than that here.

"And I'm not sure how a year of Physics at a Univerity helped you shape your economic views, but whatever.... The school probably isn't accredited anyway."

You have the attention span of a gnat. I originally said that Obama doesn't know anything about economics OR gravity (trickle up economics, derrr...). Gravity is something you study in Physics. You responded to my comment by saying "like you do, Judith". Good God, if I have to explain it to you it's just no fun, but it does illustrate why you are incapable of grasping basic economics, which requires a person to follow an idea through to its logical conclusions.

And, BTW, I went to the University of Minnesota, a bastion of liberal moonbattery, so maybe you're right, it shouldn't be accredited, and yet it is.

Posted by: Judith M. at October 27, 2009 9:26 AM

BTW 3bus, that was 58 states. He'd visited 57, had one more to go.

The One was dreaming: more states to get more taxes from, to spread the wealth around.

Posted by: pomalom at October 27, 2009 9:48 AM

Hey anonydouche. Why do you think trickle down economics doesn't work? It's the system that made this country the best in the history of the world. "Poverty" here looks like the rich in most other countries. Learn some history. You sound like an idiot, but you serve YOUR master well.

Posted by: man of few words at October 27, 2009 10:09 AM

Capitalism, what our Anonymous troll derides as Voodoo economics, is simply what happens when people are free to pursue their lives in a country based on individual rights. Insofar as the society is free as a whole we enjoy economic freedom. So when Leftists like our anonymous troll deride the free market and imply that we need to abandon it, what they are actually trying to accomplish is to destroy what Capitalism is based on: a free society. They wish to take over society and force everyone to do as they think is right - they wish to destroy the foundation of the free market and that foundation is freedom and liberty.

The Left are tyrants.

Look what happened to CNN since Glenn Beck left.

http://mediadecoder.blogs.nytimes.com/2009/10/26/cnn-drops-to-last-place-among-cable-news-networks/

If there were 10 cable news networks, CNN would be 10th. They'll never learn.

Do you think rich people take greenbacks, stuff them in jars and bury them in the backyard?

Sure they do. Isn't that what ACORN recommended?

No, sorry, it was tin cans, not jars. I stand corrected.
