Apologizing for America Has Its Rewards
Posted by Van Helsing at October 9, 2009 7:49 AM

Moonbats must be so proud to see their Messiah enter the exalted ranks with Yasser Arafat, Jimmy Carter, and Al Gore. They'll have to invent a new, still more prestigious award if Chairman Zero actually accomplishes anything, other than setting our economy on a path to collapse and letting Afghanistan degenerate into Vietnam.
Compliments of Torey.

As of today the once prestigious Nobel Peace Prize will forever be a meaningless. There is just no words for an award to someone who has - literally - done nothing. But when we consider the timeframe deadlines for nominations (February?), what was first sight ridiculous, is now laughable.

Libs Force Obama To Jump The Shark: This is actually pretty funny. Obama’s supporters have finally had this Affirmative Action Manchurian Candidate officially jump the shark by awarding him the Nobel Peace Prize. Boston Globe:
For the past five years, researchers in a modest office overlooking the New Haven green have carefully documented cases of assassination and torture of democracy activists in Iran. With more than $3 million in grants from the US State Department, they have pored over thousands of documents and Persian-language press reports and interviewed scores of witnesses and survivors to build dossiers on those they say are Iran's most infamous human-rights abusers.
But just as the Iran Human Rights Documentation Center was ramping up to investigate abuses of protesters after this summer's disputed presidential election, the group received word that - for the first time since it was formed - its federal funding request had been denied.
"If there is one time that I expected to get funding, this was it,'' said Rene Redman, the group's executive director, who had asked for $2.7 million in funding for the next two years. "I was surprised, because the world was watching human rights violations right there on television.''
Many see the sudden, unexplained cutoff of funding as a shift by the Obama administration away from high-profile democracy promotion in Iran, which had become a signature issue for President Bush. But the timing has alarmed some on Capitol Hill.

The media, schools, the government, the Bible, corporations, science, and the Nobel.
All left wing bias. Not paranoia.
And I don't think Obama deserves it for the record. I think as bad as Obama's been on a lot of things, Bush was SO bad that this is a reaction Nobel Prize. It actually speaks to America's place int he world, in a way.
Bush was so exceptionally terrible of a POTUS that he got this country to vote for a black guy who was then given a Nobel Prize. That's the real story here.

I was just over on Fox to catch the live feed of Obama's remarks on receiving this award. While waiting, we could hear what I presume was a Fox announcer, off camera, running through some commentary and answering questions from someone else who we couldn't hear.
Amazingly, part of his commentary suggested that the Republican Party was directly aligning themselves with the Taliban in opposing this award.
Bring out the bags of sawdust, there will be a lot of exploding heads to clean up today.

Yeah - that was good. But it's not an indulgence. It doesn't forgive Iraq et al. re: the Muslim world. It was all quite stupid of him (and those who supported it), and so here we are.

Peace, it seems, is rapidly becoming the recognizable mark of wicked men. The modern intellectual who says that you must never fight for anything is substantially and specifically immoral. Maobamarx and his ilk seem to believe that they can bring the whole reign of violence and war to an end, instantly and entirely, merely by doing nothing. How can an intelligent adult believe that terrorists will abandon all their plans because a pacifist citing never-ending platitudes centered on "hope", promises never to interfere with them?
The Peace Prize, it seems, has become the recognizable mark of immature men. This award is designed to influence Obama's foreign-relations decisions so they align with the agenda of the sissified Euro-left, which will have dangerous consequences for the entire world.

"The modern intellectual who says that you must never fight for anything is substantially and specifically immoral. "
Except that just about no one says this. You can always win an argument when you supply the other side's arguments for them. Obama's ramping up Afganistan (most likely) and we're not out of Iraq. Is that saying that we should "never fight for anything"? Of course not.
I (like most left leaning Americans), supported Afganistan. 90% Americans supported Iraq (I did not) until it was revealed that all the fact were not be presented.
So this is just a straw man. Intellectuals and just about everyone else don't support needless, unjust wars. That's not pacifism, it's sanity.

The Norwegian Nobel Committee is obviously drinking the same Kool-Aid as the idiots in this country who support Obama are downing by the gallon. I thought it was just the USA, now it is the world that is operating like the old comic book series "Reverse World."
Obama has set the stage for World War III to be initiated by an Iran / Israel conflict. Did the Nobel Committee just ignore the fact that Obama gave $950 million to Hamas controlled Palestine to rearm against Israel? Just this week Obama refuses to meet with Tenzin Gyatso, the 14th and current Dalai Lama who won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1989! Now Obama wins the same Prize for embracing terrorists and thumbing his nose to our longstanding ally Israel?
The actions of the entire Obama administration reads like some ill conceived fantasy novel, not like the pages of American history. Obama winning the Nobel Peace Prize fits right into this never ending nightmare that is destined to last another 39 months unless Congress suddenly gets a heavy dose of reality. Just exactly what is it going to take for people to wake up to what Obama really plans as leader of the free world?
Posted by: Johnny at October 9, 2009 9:09 AM
Why is Obama continuing an unjust war on Afghanistan and its peaceful freedom fighters and why is he continuing the war against Iraq and its peaceful freedom fighers? Why hasnt he brought the troops home by now?

So, Obama - contrary to his campaign promise - still has the US fighting in Iraq. You cite this positively, in support of your argument that Obama is someone who would "never fight for anything". You then - claiming an alliance with "intellectuals and just about everyone else" - say that you do not support "needless, unjust wars", by which you surely mean Iraq.
Please make up your mind. You cannot praise Obama (or, at the very least, refrain from criticizing him) for continuing US fighting in Iraq and then chide those who support what you see as "needless, unjust" fighting in Iraq.

Subject: OBAMA?????
You're kidding right?? In my opinion your organization has definitely lost credibility.
First Gore now OBAMA ? The Nobel Peace Prize? Give me a break.
What could he have possibly accomplished within two weeks of his presidency when you made your decision? He's done nothing!!!
This man has divided the United States of America in less than a year. People (families and friends) are no longer communicating thanks to this man. You call that an accomplishment? This extremely egotistical man may have been elected as president but he does NOT represent all of America.
Your once respected organization has now become a joke. The world is laughing at you.

I never contradicted myslef, so I don't need to "make up my mind".
First, I don't reflexively support Obama like most on the right did (do) with Bush. I give Obama a C- so far. He lied about umpteen of his promises, plain and simple.
I do understand that he can't "just leave" Iraq, but the jury's out. If he's not out within another year, he drops to a D in my eyes.
My point is that the mainstream/majority left is not full of pacifists. That's just silly.
Posted by: brs at October 9, 2009 9:28 AM
So if Obama had sent the needed troops to Afghanistan, would he still have won this? He knew this was coming and has therefore been holding off, perhaps, so that he could be globally adored on his way to becoming leader of the New World Order, anyone?
Hey, it's not just a conspiracy theory if it's true. Not that it is, but whatever....

BRS: Oh come on, Bush was a fine President. Stop buying into the MSM narrative and stop blaming the perfidy of the Democrats on GWB. He was a bulwark against their treason, not the cause of it. We saw a propaganda onslaught against him that was unprecedented in our history. That the American people are collectively callow and shallow enough to buy into it bespeaks of their faults not his. Think for yourself; stop regurgitating nonsense wholly at odds with the facts. If you are of the Right you do no one a service with this BS.
Bush will come out just fine if and when the facts all come out and an objective history of the period is ever written You are responding emotionally to agitprop, not thinking rationally. If Bush was a terrible as the you claim, the left would not hate him so. Certainly he was more successful on the hill with a often hostile congress than either Clinton was or Obama currently is.
Beside, odds are the election was stolen, and the "financial Crisis" was rigged. This "peace Prize, he has recieved, given the lead time, seems to support this.
Bush was a fine president and accomplished much against terrible odds. Just because you do not agree with all of his policies does not give you the right to slander him. He deserves our respect and thanks, not our derision. I wish he was in the WH now.
This "Prize" shows the the West's elites are completely morally and intellectually bankrupt, and ultimately will fail. It is our job to keep them from taking the rest of us down with them.

Another thing to be made out of high pressure compressed chicken feces and epoxy. It might be worth it to see them hang that around Obama's neck and tell him he really deserved it. Of course, even a piece of compressed chicken feces will have more value than a Nobel Prize (at least in deserved respect and honor) if they keep giving it to such worthy humans as Carter, Obama, and Arafat.
Posted by: jdj44@cableone.net at October 9, 2009 9:42 AM
See what I mean? Hattip will not criticize Bush, and chalks his image not up to a failed (and lied about) war in Iraq, a giant economic meltdown on his watch, huge expansions of fed power and spending (medicare prescription that was gift to drug companies/TARP/wire tapping/arguing for suspension of Habeas) and failure in Afganistan.
But he says it's just MSM. The above are facts. He has 2 of the top 4 longest wars in US history, and left with them underway. He presided over the biggest transfer of public money to the private sector ever.
I have to wonder: what WOULD he have to do for you to criticism him?
Nothing. Apparently the "MSM narrative" lost these wars and squandered this cash.
Nothing more pathetic than someone who just gives his "side" a pass. Nice work Hattip.

Truthers are the 9-11 conspiracy nuts that say Bush and Cheney orchestrated 9-11 attacks or allowed them to happen. You find both left and right wing extemists in that group.

Of course he deserves it. Think back to the nightmarish police state we lived in back in 2008. Before the big O was President, we were randomly bombing, shooting, raping, starving and exploiting little brown children all over the world. The oceans were inundating island nations daily and washing little brown people out to sea. The Republicans were plotting to take away the right to vote for black people, even to reinstate slavery! Americans were dying in the streets as evil insurance companies laughed and counted their money.
Now the waters have begun to recede, Iraq is once again the peaceable kite-flying country of old; we'll all live forever with Free Healthcare, and all the little brown children of the world love Dear Leader. I'm not sure, but I think he might also have deflected an asteroid or two from hitting the earth. All this in a mere 8 months! Hail the Moonbat Messiah!

Even TIME Magazine think this award was the last thing he needed at this time.
http://www.time.com/time/politics/article/0,8599,1929395,00.html
"Obama's Nobel: The Last Thing He Needs"
"Compare this to Greg Mortenson, nominated for the prize by some members of Congress, who the bookies gave 20-to-1 odds of winning. Son of a missionary, a former army Medic and mountaineer, he has made it his mission to build schools for girls in places where opium dealers and tribal warlords kill people for trying. His Central Asia Institute has built more than 130 schools in Afghanistan and Pakistan — a mission which has, along the way, inspired millions of people to view the protection and education of girls as a key to peace and prosperity and progress. "
Yep, this Mortensen guy should have won the prize - though there are plenty of other good choices.

The Nobel Peace Prize was a joke long before Obama got it, and it'd be funny if the joke wasn't on us. He's just one in a line of lying, treasonous murders who have received the award for the blood letting of innocent people.
He's even GOT the award for so actively undermining the United States Constitution and catering to sovereignty infringing, global institutions such as the UN. Wonderful! There's even a game that's come out earlier this week and THAT is pretty much the plot! Google, "2011: Obama's Coup Fails" I can't believe people are still walking around a sleep when we have global elites granting tyrant Obama with AWARDS for his blatant disregard for the contract he swore to uphold when he took office.
Posted by: Daman at October 9, 2009 10:38 AM
Yeah, I read Truthers but thought Birthers. A brain fart on my part. My bad. I guess that the "government blew up the WTC" is such a silly assertion that it didn't really even register with me, while the "Obama is hiding his past" really resonates with me, probably because it is so obviously true. So, even if born in Hawaii is true, why is he taking such great pains to hide so much about his past? Again, he is clearly hiding things - things which would undoubtedly cast him in a negative light at the very least, else why would he be hiding them? And as President, he needs to be held to the highest of all possible standards. We have both a right and a need to know who our president really is.
Also, I knew you intended to say West, or Atlantic, or Japan or something. Just me jerkin' yer chain a bit....

Proof positive that global Freemasonry is still calling the shots. Left, right, it doesn't matter. They're all controlled by the Masons and do as they are told. Obama's masters are no different than W's. Wake up people. Its the same tune all along. Global power for a select few, bit by bit.
