The Cartel Trailer
It's not that they don't make good movies anymore. They just don't make them in Hollyweird. The Cartel looks promising:
Unfortunately the odds of moving even an inch toward liberating schools from greedy, corrupt, incompetent, radical left teachers unions are nil so long as Democrats control the government.
On a tip from Moving Picture Institute.

After nationalized healthcare is justifiably buried in its grave, Tea Party patriots should go after the cretins that run public education, drain and waste our resources on bloated salaries, and fail to educate anyone about anything other than watching American Idol and sucking off the government's teat.
Love this clip from Lean on Me - Joe Clark:

I remember when this began. I went to school one day and we didn't being with a prayer. I went to the cafeteria that day and the principal didn't say grace.
I was in the second grade.
It wasn't too many years later corporal punishment became illegal. There was no means to keep actual order in the classroom.
Then it became "wrong" to fail the kids who didn't work hard enough to make the grade. (Back then - those who weren't able to make the grade were in special classes - only the lazy failed). In other words - laziness became accepted because liberalism IS lazy. Liberals don't believe in work, they believe in "entitlements" - thievery from those who DO work.
Then many schools outlawed red marks on homework - because it could make the children "feeeeeeel bad".
Liberalism failed the children just as liberalism is failing America.
And any of the resident silly liberals who argue these points are delusional fools and/or liars. They're the same type of people who will hold up a sign screaming for their entitlement an sucker-punch anyone who may have a different opinion.
Liberals are sick.

I understand how you feel Jimbo, I had a teacher explain that to me during a PTA. To build up the kids' self esteem, they don't give negative marks anymore since correcting the kids is now way secondary to making sure they're in a little bubble of happiness. It made me so sick to the stomach. How is it proven this even works? Why blindly trusting that a silly method like this is better than centuries of proven effectiveness? Because liberals say so? This is one movie we're not going to see a lot in theaters.

Corporal punishment? Sometimes I used to get Sargeant or even Major punishment. Though I never made it to General Punishment.

Just another reason to homeschool.

Don't forget the silly liberal entitlement-minded parents, either. My mom was a teacher for years. She wasn't scared of flunking a student on grounds of being high and lazy and asleep every day. The parents would come in raising holy hell, and she would have the fight of her life, year after year. She would explain that it would be unfair to those who worked hard all year to just let this guy pass just because "he's a good boy." Gee, go figure. A conservative teacher. RIP.

It's not a whole lot better in private schools. The current crop of parents are of the "entitled bully" mindset. They, and their children, are "entitled to whatever they want simply because they show up for class; and, if they don't get what they "deserve", they will use every bully tactic they know.

Self-esteem has to be earned; it cannot be conferred. Only a sense of entitlement can be conferred.
Btw, this movie looks great. Spread the word!

I have thought for some time that here is the answer to the silly "Reparations for slavery" issue; tell the Black community "We don't owe you reparations for slavery because nobody alive today was a slave or owned slaves. We DO owe you for letting Liberals and crooks destroy your schools, and with them your children's futures." Then push for vouchers AND for private scholarships for where vouchers haven't gone through or aren't enough. We DO owe this. We didn't fight back soon enough, or hard enough, because it involved being screeched at by arrogant leftist twits and shrill Ed majors.
Let Jesse Jackson and anyone else making hay of the "Reparations" issue explain to the inner-city Blacks why they don't want control of their children's education, they want more of the same old hand-outs that never seem to do ay good anyway.
