State-Run Media: Epic FAIL

The pic above charts the public's failing trust in the mainstream media. Less than 30% of the public trusts the media to get the facts right (which seems an absurdly high number) while only 18% think the media presents both sides fairly.
It is easy to illustrate why with a simple question: If it had not been for FoxNews and Talk Radio, would anyone know that ACORN is a criminal enterprise that facilitates mortgage fraud, tax fraud, immigration fraud, and prostitution? Would anyone know that a key advisor to the president was an avowed communist and 9-11 Troofer?

You know, if you were part of the "mainstream" media, you'd have two charts, one for "Get Facts Straight" with y-axis running from 29 to 55 and the other with y-axis running from 18 to 34. Some vertical enhancement would help as well. Bad as this is, you could make it look much worse if you weren't honest about it.
Like the "mainstream" media, I read "How to Lie With Statistics".

In honor of Patrick Swayze: WOLVERINES !!!
Why did Swayze die a horrible painful death when a dirt bag like Michael Moore is still polluting the Earth with his commie crap? Why???

LW it doesnt matter much if you look at the actual numbers.
55 -> 29 Facts Right Down 47% in 25 years
34 -> 18 Both Sides Down 47% in 25 years
You dont need the charts at all. The numbers speak for themselves.

I've NEVER seen the media the way it is now. It is scary and should raise concern in all of us. There used to be a time that you would turn on CNN or MSNBC and actually watch 'the news'. I cannot believe what its come to. I say the same thing for FOX but at least not the same extreme.

Think back to when the media were sorta-kinda-generally Pro-America and Pro-Military... need to go back to WWII. Shameful.

if this was reported in the MSM they may have made the numbers higher... we must purge the state organs of such conditions.

Well damn! Didn't know the pictures changed on the side. Originally there was a babe and then after I entered my post it turned into a picture of Obozo. I was sorely disappointed. My bad.

Here's my guess for the next POTUS in 2012. His initials are GB. Don't say I'm crazy just yet.

Doug, I won't call you crazy. But he has zero interest.
Mont, I heard the story this morning on Fox. They displayed the seven senators who voted to continue $$. Lo and behold one Kirsten Gillibrand, my erstwhile senator, was one of the seven. She's on shaky ground, as alot of people think she phones in her job, just voting how Chuck votes. This may be her end.
Just visited Gradegov.com and gave her a big fat F and told her why. She's got lots and lots of hate mail from New Yorkers. I wonder if this silly state stands a chance?
