Pro-Life Activist Jim Poullion Murdered
I doubt this will be considered terribly newsworthy, in stark contrast to the media frenzy over the killing of Tiller the Baby Killer. From Michigan:
State police at the Corunna post have confirmed a well-known anti-abortion activist was shot multiple times and killed this morning in front of Owosso High School.
The victim's identity has not yet been released but the shooting occurred around 7:30 a.m., after most students were off the buses and safely inside the building, said Owosso schools transportation supervisor Jayne Campbell.
State police also confirmed that a suspect was taken into custody about 8:15 a.m. at the suspect's home.
Owosso High School secretary Wendy Smith said the students remain in lockdown this morning and confirmed that no students were involved and all are safe with classes going on as normal. …
A black car can be seen parked at the corner of North and Whitehaven streets, where a portable oxygen tank is lying in a front yard next to a large sign bearing the image of a baby and the word "Life."
The victim's name is Jim Poullion.
The local media is already in spin mode. As I was writing this, the Detroit Free Press actually changed its headline from "Pro-life activist shot dead near Owosso High" to "Owosso police look into two murders" to play down the highly relevant antiabortion angle. Funny, I don't recall that happening with George Tiller.

the left considers this incident as a "late-term abortion", nothing to see here, once obamacare passes your taxdollars will fund this type of stuff.

I blame Keith Olbermann.
Posted by: Bill O'Reilly at September 11, 2009 9:16 AM
ACtually its TWO Dead..
but we have no description of the culprit.
we have nothing frmo the left, not even quickly coming out and saying he aint with us.
the description thing i have noticed more and more
the past week or two a off duty fireman was put ion critical and the newspapers could ony say three assailants one a woman.
how about height, weight, physical description, etc.
oh, no... because if you describe em, people will get their own statistical sense as to who are doing these abrupt acts of violence.

Thank for the link to blogprof. I will follow the breaking details there.
I am sure that the MSM will ignore this story completely.

So much like Pravda… looks like Wilson at the ministry of truth was told to clean it up.

We do to...

Actually a man is in custody according to the Detroit Free Press. http://freep.com/article/20090911/NEWS06/90911020/1319/Owosso-police-look-into-two-related-murders
Artfldger, no, the suspect ain't with my ilk. This incident is unfortunate, but somehow not surprising. Neither side wants a civil debate on the issue. Just watch for the vile comments to be thrown my way.

So-stoned maybe you wouldn't have any vile comments thrown your way if you had not posted how empowering it was to dive your woman to the abortion clinic. If you would have been more human about the experience and not the typical libtard some of us may have tried to understand what you two went through but you blew that chance,so reap the whirlwind.

Ted, go to hell! I never spoke of transportation or empowerment. Thanks for proving my point though.

Artfldger, no, the suspect ain't with my ilk.
never said he was...
WILSON was the character from 1984...
actually... i was more commenting on the news.
sad that the lefts idea that "everything is political" means that we cant even take a crap without figurng out the significance politically.

As far as I know, Jim Poullion never exterminated thousands of innocent lives, unlike the baby butchering monster George Tiller.

i hear van jones is recording a cd with the killer.

We will very soon see the murderer hailed as a hero on some left-wing website. Count on it.

The media's language is ridiculous. As a former resident of Owosso, I've been following the coverage. I read an article earlier today that said Poullion was know to "spout" his opinions...not "share" them. Interesting.
If this had been a small town abortion doctor killed outside a high school, it would be EVERYWHERE on the news. Ridiculous bias.

So-stoned don't act so mad,you know what you wrote and were proud of it. Reap the whirlwind scumbag.
Posted by: Farmer Ted at September 11, 2009 12:44 PM
Prove it? Most folks here recognize how I write, I never mentioned that it was a good thing, or what my ex and I went through during that process other than heartache. To distort that honesty, again proves my point. You would rather mock those who have gone through it, and dishonor the unborn child you claim to protect. Folks like Dave, and maybe Judith at least recognize, while disagreeing that in a debate honesty becomes clear. If you fail to recognize a reasoned argument, you fail...again...go to hell.
Posted by: Ghost of Wellstone at September 11, 2009 12:53 PM
"dishonor the unborn child"?????!!!!! You helped KILL that unborn child you worthless piece of shit. If I remember your post had something to do with being happy you lived in a country where you and your ex could get an abortion without having to have it done in an alley. Remember now fuck head? I may go to hell but it's for damn sure you'll beat me there baby killer. I'll leave where I end up in God's hands but you have sealed your fate. Reap the whirlwind so-stoned.
Posted by: Farmer Ted at September 11, 2009 1:21 PM
We're supposed to feel sorry for Goatse because he couldn't be inconvenienced for a few months, and supposed to feel nothing for a child who will never experience sunshine, or love, or music, or beauty... because Goatse was too damned selfish to give the child that chance. It doesn't work that way.
Posted by: V the K at September 11, 2009 1:49 PM
Just imagine if this had involved a abortion dr the mainstream news media and birdcage linners would have it on their front pages and will those jerks from PETA get involved now?
Posted by: Spurwing Plover at September 11, 2009 2:32 PM
I love how the pro-deathers tell us how we should be sympathetic for their 'heartache" when they show NONE to the unborn.
Not only that, by using that line, they stupidly admit that they killed someone - after all, who has "heartache" about going to get wisdom teeth removed, or their appendix, or gall bladder? The funny thing is, GOW, your disconnect is blatantly obvious to anyone reading your comment, but you are clueless.
You expect sympathy just because you agonized before you went ahead and paid someone to murder your child? No chance. It would be funny if it wasn't so outrageously sick and evil.

Funny, how quick one is to jump into war, yet attack someone consistently for honesty in a ongoing debate. You don't know me, or any complications my may have had medically, you'd rather. Again, proving my point, that an open debate on this topic is almost senseless.

You are a sick, lying, bastard, baby-killing piece of shit, Ghost of Wellstone.
There's no debating that.

Aww, c'mon Kyle - you saw the words "Pro Life" on the headline and just couldn't stay away.
You came here looking for a dust-up.

As to the reason for the killing of pro-life activist Jim Pouillon, Harlan Drake has told police that he was 'offended' by Pouillon's anti-abortion messages. Neighbors of Jim Pouillon say that he was a quiet man in recent years but his checkered past was a result of his boisterous protests. They have commented that some might not have agreed with his message or his graphic displays of aborted fetus' on his protest signs but he was quiet man in his older age.

RE:Posted by: SK at September 11, 2009 4:14 PM
It is very, very unlikely that the victim's anti-abortion stance was a coincidence.
Of course, the Letterman-Loving Lying Lobotomized Lemming-Like Loopy, Loony, LowLife Leftist Losers will scream, "Let's not jump to conclusions!" and, "It's too early to tell!"

So much for being civilized and just being able to disagree with someone else. Geez, is this the irrational and uncivilized behavior we should expect from the left nutjobs?

Wellstone, I can't imagine the pain of being involved, even accidentally, in the death of my baby. If you are suffering grief over your decision, you should just admit it. Most pro-lifers can relate to such grief even if they've never experienced it directly themselves, because they grieve for all the babies lost to abortion. You don't have to make excuses for why it was "right for you," just explain that your choice hurt and it that it still hurts to this day.

The media is also spinning it that the murderer only wanted to shield children from pics that displayed what abortion really is or looks like.
We can't have these young folks realizing that they are killing an actual baby now can we?
Posted by: Anonymous at September 12, 2009 12:08 AM
Abortion is an evil thing, SK. Under normal circumstances, it would be the most natural thing in the world to grieve the loss of a child. But with abortion, because the parents are largely responsible for their child's death, the burden on their conscience is so heavy that they often can't face the horror of that reality head on; consequently, I'm really not surprised Kyle hasn't responded.
Posted by: Judith M. at September 12, 2009 4:44 AM
As someone from Owosso, I will tell you that the shooter wasn't out to prove that anti-abortionists should die. He is a deeply twisted man who had a vendetta against THREE different men in Owosso, one of whom annoyed him with his anti-abortionist protests, Jim Poullion. So, the local media isn't down playing it as much as they are giving equal attention to BOTH senseless murders, not just the one that might be most sensational.
