It took only seven years for moonbattery to rot our patriotism, unity, and resolve to the point that Barack Obama could be elected president. Imagine how well he would have fared if the election had been in 2001.

We need to get our country back before it's too late.

Photos compliments of Oiao.

"Imagine how well he would have fared if the election had been in 2001."

Probably pretty well after Bush completely failed to protect us.

Clinton ignored bin Laden threat

If you're going to open up your mouth and attempt to place blame, at least have the facts in order, jackass.

SUNDAY DECEMBER 7TH 1941 we were at peace at the time then came PEARL HARBOR how many wackos remeber that day of infamy how many look at 12/07/41 as what it was how many youg wackos just think of it as a time to have anyother dumb party? and finaly 9/11/01 another day of infamy how soon will it be forgoten?

Posted by: SPURWING PLOVER at September 11, 2009 8:32 AM

Clinton failed to protect us too, never forget that. Clinton had the chance to grab and passed due to "legal reasons". So Clinton was even more to blame, especially after he emasculated the CIA and put up barriers to the sharing of intelligence between the FBI and CIA. At least under Bush we were never attacked again.

Obama is pretty much ensuring we will be attacked again by destroying whats left of the CIA. In fact the left would like nothing else for us to be attacked again so Rahm "Dead Fish" Emmanuel can make use of his "never let a crisis go to waste" philosophy.

"Never Forget — And Never Let Them Forget"
Wasn't sure if this was referring to Islamic terrorists or American liberals...on second thought, it doesn't matter.

At Ground Zero, they should build a MASSIVE hand with middle finger extended and a large plaque that reads "OUR MESSAGE TO AMERICA'S ENEMIES".

Posted by: Refuter of Liberal Vermin at September 11, 2009 8:54 AM

Now that Cass Sunstein has been instilled as the new "regulator" in the administration, if he regulates the 2nd Amendment out of existence, the rest of the Constitution will soon follow and you can kiss the U.S.A. goodbye for good. Which will surely open the door for the next attack

Posted by: lightnin57 at September 11, 2009 8:56 AM

Ah, September 11, the day America's chickens came home to roost!

Posted by: Jeremiah Wright at September 11, 2009 9:18 AM

Hmm if bush had used wire tapping to prevent 9/11, the liberals would be calling him a fascist.
Soory libs, 9/11 is Clinton's legacy...speaking of Clinton..
Monica Lewinsky was in a hurry to get to work one day but had to drop some dresses off at the dry cleaners. The dry cleaner was an elderly Chinese man. Monica quickly ran up to the counter with her laundry and gasped, “I need these cleaned and pressed by Friday.” The old Chinese man cupped his hand to his ear and said, ”come again?” Monica replied, “No, no. its just toothpaste.”

NEVER. FORGET. No matter what Bammietries to shove down our throat, teach your kids, remind your parents. Have a dinner together tonight and discuss about it.

Posted by: Jay B. at September 11, 2009 9:23 AM

I don't go in for blaming either Clinton or Bush. No one realized the threat we faced before the fact, and it's not fair to apply hindsight to fault either President.

Now Barry, on the other hand, will not have that excuse. He came into office knowing the threat, and has chosen to appear soft on terrorism, so if/when another attack occurs, it'll be 100% on his account.

"I don't go in for blaming either Clinton or Bush. No one realized the threat we faced before the fact, and it's not fair to apply hindsight to fault either President."

I second that sentiment. If you're going to place blame, place it where it belongs - on the bastards who committed this atrocity and their legions of supporters.

Thanks for the reminder. I didn't realize how much the memories had faded until I saw these photos. We do need to remember.

Posted by: Brenda at September 11, 2009 9:50 AM

Still can't view those images without a tear in my eye. And I was in battle in Nam. God save us.

Posted by: JohnC. at September 11, 2009 10:14 AM

Absolutely, Krieg.

We got sucker-punched, any way you look at it. No one - and I mean no one - discussed Al Qaida in the 2000 election campaign, because they were below the radar. Vague unspecified threats ("someone might do something somewhere some time in the future") are not actionable, and probably are a dime a dozen. The only people to blame are the terrorists.

Now, however, is a different story.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at September 11, 2009 10:14 AM

These DICK HEADS want to turn this day into a National day of service?! Fuck all you liberals and Obama. This is a day of remembrance and prayer.

It should also be a day of BOMBING THE SHIT OUT OF ALL MOOSLIMBS TARGETS.

It should also be a day of firing new rockets at Taliban and Al Qaeda to see how well they work.

Israel still hasn't been held accountable for their crimes.

And those "crimes" would be what, exactly, Mein Fuhrer?

Posted by: V the K at September 11, 2009 11:40 AM

I fear many people chose to forget. What a f***ing shame.

This is a day our resident trolls Like Ghost of Wellstone, Fez, Meh, Bigoted Racist Stormtrooper (brs) and the other assorted members of the Liberal Marxist Bong Water Brigade stood and cheered for this attack on America just like their counterparts in the Middle East did.

Posted by: SK at September 11, 2009 1:16 PM

9/11 is always cover for the anti-Semite batallion. They can use the attacks as an excuse for their hatred and bigotry against the Israelis because, according to most of the 9/11 Troofers, zOMG THE JOOOOOOS DID 9/11!!!!111!!!111!!

Posted by: SK at September 11, 2009 1:19 PM

'Israel still hasn't been held accountable for their crimes.'

For that matter the Soviets, East Germans, Romanians, Bulgarians, North Koreans, Palestinians, Syrians, Chinese, North Vietnamese, Cambodians, Iranians have committed more crimes than anybody! Put the Communists on trial for the Cold War first! Put them on trial for the crimes they committed NOW!
Get those people to account first before anything Israel may have done in your 'hate America/Israel' mind!

Posted by: Shooter1001 at September 11, 2009 1:21 PM

Hell, I'd have been happy to have started small and held Ted Kennedy accountable for his crimes, and then work our way up to the bigger fish.

Posted by: Jay Guevara at September 11, 2009 1:43 PM

Watched a 9/11 documentry in history today. Sad. To think that people think that 'we had it coming' or that the 'goverment did it' is disgusting.

"And Israel still hasn't been held accountable for their crimes"

Hey chickenshit troll are you answer the question I asked....Explain what crimes Israel is accountable for.

Must be another drive by troll with no clue. Just another sissy agitator.

Every year since '06 I watch this video. I will never forget.

Also, here's a full, high res. copy of the WTC Satellite Image that appears at the end of VH's gallery. My mother gave me a copy while she worked cataloging photos for the Here Is New York project. Feel free to right-click and save both.

Posted by: Henry at September 11, 2009 2:51 PM

Rather than watch the maudlin, heavily-edited videos that are commonly shown on this day, here is an archive of live news from September 11th. Watching it helps me remember the raw emotion, the fear, and the confusion on that day.

I will never forget. Or forgive.

Posted by: Evil Otto at September 11, 2009 3:11 PM

I will never forget. Or forgive.

Me neither, Otto.

I can remember where I was and what I was doing.
It's still as clear as the day it happened.

It makes me sick and pissed off of what the shit head lefties are trying to do to this, in my opinion, sacred day.

We should be celebrating this day with stepped up bombings on our enemies.

Posted by: Dave at September 11, 2009 3:35 PM

EO, the vid I posted is raw footage shoot by a couple from their apartment about 8 blocks away from the towers. Listen to the woman sobbing right after the first tower collapse. No matter how many times I watch that, the sobbing is always just as painful.

I will never forget. Or forgive.

Posted by: Henry at September 11, 2009 3:50 PM

I haven't forgotten, and I refuse to forgive the perpetrators of Jihad and their best friends, The International Left.

Semper Fidelis is not just a US Marine Motto.

Any Patriot can feel the meaning of the motto.

But, Marines know what the Motto means!

God bless those lost soals.

It wasn't two weeks after 9/11 before the ACLU passed out leaflets in NYC instructing Muslims on how to avoid arrest and if arrested, how to avoid self-incrimination.
Now we have what may as well be an Islamic president.

Ann Coulter put in right: this would be like electing a guy named Hitler for president right after WWII.

Terrorists can damage, but liberals can destroy.

Posted by: Fiberal at September 11, 2009 8:40 PM

The right after 9/11: Rudy Guiliani (Mayor of NYC and hero) attendances to memorial services for victims: over 800.

The left after 9/11: Hillary Clinton (Senator from NY and skank) attendances to memorial services for victims: 0.

The jumpers are the ones that get me the most from that horrible day. May all that died rest in peace. :__(

Posted by: Heroic at September 11, 2009 9:50 PM

To wrap up this day, here's a different kind of reflection about 9/11 and God.

Maybe not about how God can allow events like 9/11 to happen, or how a God allows evil to exist, but rather how a belief in God provides for an individual at the moment of death.
So, I am wondering if the Falling Man gave himself over to God before he stepped off. What was in his final thoughts?

In this light, it seems that regardless of one's intellectual position about the existence, motives or nature of God, or about the common proposition that religion causes more problems that it's worth, it must be a mistake to move toward a public argument to deny God. Whether one is a committed atheist, agnostic or has questions about whatever God is, such questions may better be left as a matter of private concern. As, in my opinion, should one's own religious beliefs be held in private in order not to mitigate the reverence that supplements deeper reflection.

I have read Richard Dawkin's and Christopher Hitchen's books on the unlikely existence of God and where these authors may have certain points of logic and are very accomplished writers, they are not in my view, gentlemen. Discussions, if made public, about the nature of God should proceed more carefully. I think it is important (and many atheists apparently do not) to realize that God serves an important function for most people when they are faced with irrational events; death of a child, natural disasters, the evils of murder, such as those borne by the victims of 9/11. At the moment of death, it is a uniquely human quality to seek comfort in a divine being.

Those that died in 9/11 most likely called on their God in their last moments. Personally, I would not want to have been among the ones who sometime in the life of a good man had instilled doubts about his God. After all, the culmination of one's beliefs is what is left to provide peace at the moment of death.
