More GBDS (Glenn Beck Derangement Syndrome)
Nothing brings out the foaming-at-the-mouth hatred of the deranged left than someone who speaks truth to power. And the most effective speaker to power so far in the Obama Era has been FoxNews and Radio host Glenn Beck. Yes, he goes over the top sometimes, but compared to a certain deranged lunatic who recites lists of 'The Worst People in the World' every night, Beck's a pretty mild-mannered character. And unlike the deranged lunatic, he seems to genuinely care about the country, and not the fortunes of a particular political party.
Beck has pointed out that Obama has surrounded himself with radicals, extremists, and nutjobs like Van Jones, John Holdren, Cass Sunstein, and Mark Lloyd. And he proves his point using their own public statements and records. His enemies cannot refute the facts, so they attack Glenn Beck personally.
The left giggles manically whenever Van Jones's 'Color of Change' organization announces another advertiser boycott, even when the companies they claim are boycotting Glenn Beck have never advertised with him to begin with or later deny that they are boycotting him. They tried to start a rumor that Beck raped and murdered a young girl. That effort failed because it was a lie. And it backfired by giving the right the opportunity to point out again that a certain 'Lion of the Senate' left a young woman to die, was involved in the rape of a young woman by his own nephew, and assaulted a waitress in a way that would meet the statute for sexual assault in most state.
The latest childishness comes from the Cablevision TV listings, where "Glenn Beck" was listed as "Glennif*ck". This was similar to -- but less clever and more childish than -- the time Keith Olbermann's show being listed as 'Jackass' in the LA Times. One might say that our shenanigans are cheeky and fun, while theirs are cruel and tragic. Which makes one question whether they are really shenanigans at all.

"And the most effective speaker to power so far in the Obama Era has been FoxNews and Radio host Glenn Beck."
Thats some scary stuff... Beck is plumbing the depths, pandering to the lowest common denominator in American society; the black-helicopters, we're-coming-to-kill-grandma, ACORN-is-a-secret-army lunatics, who in a rational world would all be in padded rooms, are instead riled up by this retard as he pretends that the latest stupid conspiracy theory is valid.
Beck is bad for (small 'd') democracy. He is just a propaganda tool of the jesus freaks and luddites left in America, as they struggle to accept that tomorrow's America doesn't look like the America their grandpappy remembers.

i heard that the nea guy resigned recently after being "outed" by beck for his disgusting "propaganda conference call", beck's is mounting one helluva scalp-count.
Posted by: weewilly at September 10, 2009 10:51 AM
You've got to hand it to the left, they sure can
Squeal Like Pigs!
It's an especially good way to tell when they have been FOUND OUT! It's half the fun of finding them out!!

yeah i was right, wonder how the fever-swamps feel about beck? http://www.huffingtonpost.com/2009/09/10/glenn-beck-strikes-again_n_281986.html

Beck is plumbing the depths, pandering to the lowest common denominator in American society
So providing facts, evidence, video, audio, and real connections is "pandering to the lowest common denominator?" You crack me up. Sums up that facts and such are of no relevance to the libtard agenda.
... and we're delusional? At least the things we say CAN be proved... yet your type has NO PROOF whatsoever of "ZOMG BUSH CAUSED 9/11 !!!111ONEONEONE!!!"
Mental disorder, check.

Beck is over the top at times, but he does ask the tough questions and gets results.
Part of his appeal is that he goes after all big government types both on the right and left. He even went after Bush and McCain on a number of issues last year after they started acting too much like Democrats-lite.

"And unlike the deranged lunatic, he seems to genuinely care about the country, and not the fortunes of a particular political party."
Also, unlike the deranged lunatic, Beck has an audience.

Meth perfectly illustrates my point. He does not refute a single fact Glenn Beck has brought to daylight, but simply engages in foaming-at-the-mouth attacks on an effective critic of the Leader of The Obama Cult. Well done.

He is the Columbo of the media. "Mr. Jones, just one more question...."
Posted by: Locus at September 10, 2009 11:40 AM
There is no point in trying to describe all of the horrendous things Beck has said and dne. You will not read/listen/accepot any of it regardless.
If you think Beck is ANYTHING but entertainment, you have a screw loose...

when was the last time an "entertainer" got a white house appointee canned?

From one Anonymous to another (11:49)
Of course you wont describe the horrendous things Beck has done and said, because then you would look like an idiot.
So I guess Van "Commie/black racist/911 Truther" Jones resigned for no reason at all. Fool.

Go ahead... enlighten us. And remember, one instance does not constitute "all the horrendous things" because, you know, "things" = plural.
Posted by: AmericanToTheCore at September 10, 2009 12:14 PM
I admire Glenn Beck. He gets to the root of the matter, speaks the truth and doesn't back down. I watch him every single day. He's my daily dose of common sense medicine.

I swear to God I'm going to pistol whip the next guy who says shenanigans.
Posted by: JJ at September 10, 2009 12:40 PM
I think Glen Beck should be Sec of State in the Palin/Limbuagh administration with Michael Savage as Sec Def and Sean Hannity as the Homeland Security and then watch america go to hell in a hand basket. That would put all the nuts in one squirrel cage.

Hey Goatse, what's the name of that restaurant you like with all the goofy sh-t on the wall and the mozzarella sticks?
Posted by: V the K at September 10, 2009 12:47 PM
it should be Limbaugh/Palin, the Cheneys as sec of state and defense, Beck as Attorney General, Hannity as press sec., etc... this country would be so badass!
Posted by: weewilly at September 10, 2009 12:49 PM
hmmm maybe Levin as attny. gen., beck would need to be our propaganda czar :P
Posted by: weewilly at September 10, 2009 12:51 PM
Beck is playing using Olbermann's rules! Isn't that one of Saul Alinsky's laws, 'force them to play by their own rules'!
Go Beck, you read the book!
Posted by: Shooter1001 at September 10, 2009 12:52 PM
I think Palin as Energy Secretary, David Petreaus at Defense, Mark Levin as Attorney General, John Bolton at State, Mitt Romney at Treasury and abolish the other departments to dig us out of Obama's deficits.
Posted by: V the K at September 10, 2009 12:58 PM
president: Limbaugh : powerful leader, chief mouthpiece
vp: Palin : young leader being groomed, also effective mouthpiece
advisor/campaign manager: Beck leader/manager, great mouthpiece and all around "strategerist"
secretary of state: Liz Cheney : huge brain and dialectic/negotiating skillz
secretary of defense: Dick Cheney : obvious gravitas, leader, communicator, strategrist
press sec.: Hannity : fierce communicator who never detours from talking points
attorney general: Levin : obvious legal/government background
-would someone please expand on this(treasury, commerce, etc) the conservative "dream team", thanks for this idea troll.

So Glenn's shows are a font of "horrendous" evil but at the same time nothing but inconsequential entertainment. That's some nice joined-up thinking there, Continuity Boy.

Gee, for the guys that won an incontestible mandate last November, and control the government outright, they certainly are afraid of some things. Really afraid.
Posted by: Mr Evilwrench at September 10, 2009 1:43 PM
They tried to start a rumor that Beck raped and murdered a young girl.
Given the Reds' penchant for projection, that probably means we should investigate Van Jones for doing precisely this.
Thats some scary stuff...
Yep, journalists actually doing their job must scare the hell out of leftists. Speaking truth to power, comfort the afflicted, afflict the comfortable, and all that.
Beck is plumbing the depths
If you're going to investigate Democrats, that's where you've got to look. If you're looking for cockroaches, you look under trash cans and behind baseboards, right?
ACORN-is-a-secret-army lunatics
Yep, that's what they said about the SA, too, but they were just a civic group, trying to organize the community.
He is just a propaganda tool of the Jesus freaks and luddites left in America
Much better to be a propaganda tool of the jesus freaks and luddites left in America. This free speech thing is a bitch, isn't it?
So...what part of Beck's reports was untrue? Hmm? Awkward for the Reds, inconvenient, uncharitable, and/or embarrassing for them don't count – I want untrue.

RE: Posted by: Meh at September 10, 2009 10:45 AM
Meh bitterly muses, "Beck is bad for (small 'd') democracy. He is just a propaganda tool of the Jesus freaks and luddites left in America, as they struggle to accept that tomorrow's America doesn't look like the America their grandpappy remembers."
You Letterman-Loving Lying Loopy Loony Lobotomized Lemming-Like Leftie Lunatic Lowlife Losers can't even keep your own story straight. One minute Glenn Beck is just an entertainer, then he's a Propaganda Tool of the VRWC....
As for the "Jesus freaks", most of us on the political Right (and here on Moonbattery) are Christian.....but not all. I guess JayG and Memphis Dave need to kick meh's sorry little a$$ again.
Another interesting thing about the cut-and-paste from meh is the word "luddite" - I've noticed that many of us here on Moonbattery have technical backgrounds - how'd we get to be Luddites all of a sudden. In fact. most of the other engineers and technically educated people I know tend to lean right politically. I suspect it has something to do with that whole analytical thing the Left has so much trouble with. The closest thing we have to Luddites in this country are the Envirowhacko Left that hates humanity and wants us to wallow in our own filth....in the dark. Luddite? We can chalk that up to "Liberal Projection".
As for the America my Grandpappy remembers, the "Good Old Days" were not always so good. One side of my family has been here in the New World for over 300 years; the other side came here two generations ago. D#mned if I want to relive either one of my Grandfather's lives.
Here on the political Right, we're looking forward, not back. It's meh, andy90210, loonypippanonomoose, Kyle, and the rest of them that want to go back to the glory days of the Left...back when Lefties still thought National Socialism / Fascism / Communism / Socialism "might actually work, if the right people were in charge".

"Air America!"
I wonder if those Leftie jacka##es realize they gave thier radio network the same name as a clandestine CIA-run airline / air cargo operation?
The REAL Air America's slogan was "Anything, Anywhere, Anytime, Professionally"
The Leftie network's slogan should be, "Any Amaturish Lie, Everywhere, All the Time"

I want to draw some attention to that point because certain people conveniently dismiss this fact, and the ones who talk sh!t and don't even watch the program- aren't aware of this. And that is one of many reasons why his book Common Sense was NUMBER ONE even on the New York Times Bestseller list for weeks.
