SO how exactly do we plan on growing billions of watermelons without the use of fossil fuels to power vehicels or generate electricity and don't watermelons need (according to Moonbats) the very, VERY limited and percious resource of water? Just because something is "science" doesnt mean its economically feasible. 2 1/2 million gallons of fuel? A days worth of US consumption is over 15 million gallons - thats about 4 hours worth. And one must also ignore that per gallon, gasoline provides more energy, so it actually less than 4 hours worth. Making it even less feasible.

When going to college I was the head lab tech in the computer center. I was always amazed at the waste of paper from those old dot matrix printers. But that was just the way it was. One day some 'greenies' who 'thought' they had a 'new' idea came in and asked me if they could have my paper waste. I gladly told them to go for it. They came in every night for a week or two then suddenly started showing up only once or twice a week. Then they didn't show up anymore. I ran across one of them on campus and asked what happened? It was costing them too much money in gas to collect the paper and deliver it to the recycling center. Their 'thinking' for their 'new' idea didn't not take into consideration the cost of collecting and delivering their wonderful idea to the masses. In the real world we say: it wasn't cost effective or they were confronted by diminishing returns.

So how much would the cost be to cultivate watermelons, collect them, transport them, process them, refine them, and deliver the end product.

So in the real world where people 'think' they would do a cost/benefit analysis and most likely come to the conclusion that this is a stupid idea.

investigating ways and putting money into it does not mean they will pull a rabbit out of their asses.

working with a genomics man, i will tell ya that this wont come out so easy.. there will be a lot of work,AND they will have to genetically modify the bugs to work.
