Maryland May Prosecute O'Keefe and Giles for Exposing ACORN Corruption
It's nice to see there may be charges brought in the case of ACORN thugs being caught on video attempting to facilitate child prostitution, slave trafficking, illegal immigration, and tax fraud — except that the charges would be brought not against Comrade Obama's ghetto-dwelling shock troops, but against James O'Keefe and Hannah Giles for taking the video.
No, I'm not kidding. Maryland's State Prosecutor Patricia Jessamy, a Demonrat, has this to say:
We have received inquiries from citizens and the media asking whether the Baltimore City State's Attorneys Office would initiate a criminal investigation for acts allegedly committed at ACORN offices located in Baltimore. The only information received in reference to this alleged criminal behavior was a YouTube video. Upon review by this office, the video appears to be incomplete. In addition, the audio portion could possibly have been obtained in violation of Maryland Law, Annotated Code of Maryland Courts and Judicial Proceedings Article §10-402, which requires two party consent. If it is determined that the audio portion now being heard on YouTube was illegally obtained, it is also illegal under Maryland Law to willfully use or willfully disclose the content of said audio. The penalty for the unlawful interception, disclosure or use of it is a felony punishable up to five years.
Meanwhile, there's still nothing to stop ACORN from raking in a staggering $8.5 billion of our money, expropriated by its allies in Big Government. When the bad guys are in charge, instead of justice, you get "social justice."

This is an absolute outrage.
Massive mistake if the Obama crony prosecutor tries this.

And unfortunately, illegally obtained evidence can't be admitted in court for prosecution of acorn minions. What's important though is exposing the cockroaches to public scrutiny, keeping them away from the census and hopefully the next election.

Patricia Jessamy may want to Google 'Mike Nifong' before she goes through with this idiocy.

... instead of justice, you get "social justice."
True. 'Social justice' and 'socialism' are interchangeable terms, and real justice can have no role in socialism. It's a form of semantic infiltration that the left uses to market their ideology to the public. The term has been stolen and corrupted from decent Christian teaching into a progressive political religion.
So that we can live in a world of liberty and real justice, we must have an accurate understanding of truth and goodness. There can be no justice without truth. Without truth there can be neither unity nor peace. In the absence of truth, no verdict (verum + dicere - to tell the truth) can be delivered that separates the guilty from the innocent or justice from injustice.
But, in the confused, progressive world of relativism, tolerance, diversity, and political correctness, truth is called unknowable. It is sadly ironic that progressives are willing to ignore the very thing that is indispensable for achieving what they claim to most desire. They shun truth and expect justice to flower in a barren desert.

They threatened Linda Tripp the same way. I think that just quietly went away.

Saw the picture, now I understand.

Now you know why Baltimore is such a hell hole. All their laws protect the guilty.

Her "friends of jessamy" PAC should be INVESTIGATED for links to ACORN!

We will now see how the PTB crack down hard on dissent. You will ignore the man behind the curtain, or else. The emperor has a beautiful wardrobe, don't you agree, comrade?

That's it, Reds, double down. Double down, and get a surprise.
O'Keefe and Giles did the job Jessamy's worthless ass should have been doing, assuming she's not equally corrupt (big assumption).

Gawd, she looks like something from Madam Tussaud's wax figure museum. Any body got a blowtorch?

Just as outragious as sending those two border patrol agents to prison for shooting that mexican drug smuggler THIS IS INJUSTICE

Afterall, it's not about protecting the innocent is it liberals? It's allways been about protecting the criminals. Why? Guess who they always are?

Okay, set loose the hounds of hell! There is too obvious a connection. She has to have dirt on her hands from Acorn. There is no possible way that she isn't somehow corrupt with her hands up to her elbows in their ass. It is probably influence and favors, but with luck its money or relatives. Start digging--there's gold in that there hill.

Patricia Jessamy, a Democrat, a Racist.
Note to Maryland voters: CLEAN HOUSE

A pathetic piece of sophistry indeed.
No, the evidence obtained is not admissible in a prosecution, but she was asked to 'investigate' not prosecute. Investigation could well have uncovered faked records, phone records, notes, memos. It could well have uncovered tax cheats who in return for immunity could testify that the advice to cheat came from the Acorn interviews.
The IRS should now be going to see whether their income stream has been partially dammed by Acorn advice.
This statement suggests that it is time for an inquiry into whether this scandalous statement of hers indicates evidence of system in the Maryland State Prosecutor's office of discrimination and improper prosecutorial procedures.

ACORN should be investigated and prosecuted under the RICO statutes. Anything less than that is totally unacceptable.
Posted by: Refuter of Liberal Vermin at September 14, 2009 5:18 PM
Actually, evidence illegally obtained by law enforcement cannot be used in court. Evidence illegally obtained by anyone other than law enforcement can be used in any court any time if the "fruit of thr poisonous tree" doctrine is the sole basis for objecting to the evidence.

As usual the left has it's priorities out of whack.
Prosecute ACORN, give the reporters medals and money. ACORN,from top to bottom, needs to be in prison. Do the right thing Maryland for once in your empty lefty lives.

Gee, one question: what about those PETA documents that pop up about what goes on in the animal industry?
If it's okay for a liberal group, PETA, to tape goings-on in the slaughterhouses (without consent) what's the difference?
