Drudge Wrong, Moonbat Media Screams
When Drudge ran this (via Political Lore Blog):
A local TV station that reported on Chicagoans NOT wanting the Olympics has been told NOT to run the report again, insiders tell the DRUDGE REPORT!
The Chicago Olympic Committee told FOX Chicago that its broadcast "would harm Chicago's chances" to be awarded the games.
The station's news director ordered staff to hold fire after the report aired once last Thursday morning, claims a source.
The Chicago Sun-Times triumphantly responded under the headline, DRUDGE WRONG ON WEB SITE REPORT:
Chicago 2016 spokesman Patrick Sandusky said he did speak to the Fox news outlet Thursday about possibly doing a follow-up story to the station's first piece after questions about the site arose, but he never demanded they stop reporting on the Web site.
Drudge you liar!
Comrade Obama must enjoy a mainstream media so anxious to do his bidding — just as Chicago's crooked Mayor Richard Daley must enjoy a POTUS so anxious to do his. You have to wonder who knows what in Chicago that would make Chairman Zero forsake his pressing duties and make a complete fool of himself by flying to Copenhagen to lobby on behalf of the infamously corrupt local political establishment that produced him.

On tips from Oaio and Varla.

How's that line from 1984 go? He who controls the past, controls the future, he who controls the present controls the past. I'm sure they'll do a proper purging of all negative stories about Chicago.

lolz, the left must take its victories where it can find them nowadays.

Is Dear Leader buying carbon credits to account for Air Force One aka The Klingon Bird of Prey and its support planes on this trip to Copenhagen?
After all thats where Climate Change nonsense will be featured later this year. Hopefully there will be an ice storm upon his arrival followed by a mind blowing blizzard that will ground Air Force one for days.

Its not just the Chicago machine that excreted BO, its also a gaggle of enablers that gave him unwarranted opportunities for which he claimed credit.
Although BO barely lifted a finger to work during his ascension (as far as can be documented) his laziness and numerous missteps in educational, work-place and political environments was assisted by the reptilian Bill Ayers, to whom we now can clearly attribute Dreams of My Father, as well as consistent layers of cover-up expectorated by the mainstream media.

I realize I am missing the point, but I do not remember Drudge actually writing stories, just reposting existing stories.
Based on that, How did Drudge lie???
Posted by: Frank W at September 30, 2009 9:19 AM
Frank is right. Drudge just FINDS them for the most part. Sometimes he'll write up something quick and link to a full story elsewhere later if it's developing.

The Liberals have to pick victories where they can scrape them. Even with House majorities, they get their asses kicked. Let's go with olympics, since the next president will be stuck with them!

Leave it to the douchebags on the lunatic fringe to find things to bitch about...
The Olympics is a truly non-partisan, international forum, to put aside all the political bullshittery and actually engage one another in the spirit of competition.
Not only would it be good for Chicago, it would be good for America. (You know, that country we all live in?)
Whine about 'corruption' all you want, but remember that people who aren't just negative about everything as a matter of course would love to see the city of Chicago on the international stage as something besides a collection old stories about Prohibition-era bootleggers and packing-house cronyism.
This is just yet another instance of "If it could remotely be construed as good for Obama, then I HATE IT! (I may not know why... but I sure do!)"
Fond something else to be today's mindless whipping boy. The Olympics is far too noble in its goals to be anything but a good thing for America.

Nothings changed in chicago still run by the same corrupt city officials still run by the demacrooks

I, nor my family, wants to be on the hook (financially) for this debacle in Chicago. We all hate bailouts (which I'm hoping you do too) and this amounts to the exact same thing... pawning off someone's financial failures onto the nation.
Congratulations.
Also, Chicagoans can't afford it nor do the majority of them want it yet the city council voted unanimously (49-0) in favor of hosting it.

YouGottaBeKiddingMe has obviously either never lived in Cook county or has, and is part of the machine.
Chicago didn't invent voting the graveyard, but we made it into an art.
Anyone 'in' Chicago readily admits to the bribery and other chicanary. The only difference is that when old man Daley ran things, things worked.
As to the Olympics, the IOC is as crooked as a dogs leg. They've been documented to have been bribed with cash to select certain sites. I agree the sports are great and a great neutral arena for athletes to show their stuff. That does not even things up for the disaster area a city becomes during the Olympics nor for the payoffs required to get the damn thing.
Having said that, Barry as a card carrying member of the Cook county machine is the perfect bag man to send to the IOC.

Hey, I'd feel better if the Olympics in Chicago is the ONLY thing that Dear Reader manages to get done.
Due to what seems like more and more scandals with every Olympic games, they are becoming about as relevant as the Nobel prizes.

Elaborating on 'chuck in st paul'...
Payoffs and bribes. No President is history has weighed in on bring the olympics to the states. Therefore, one has to wonder how he will personally (or his well-connected thugs) benefit from this debacle.
Also, with Obama holding the purse strings of this country (in financial ruin), one has to wonder what he will promise the IOC if they bring the olympics to the states. He has unlimited taxpayer dollars to use to "convince" the IOC to bring the olympics in the cesspool of Chicago.
Either way, we can bet our bottom dollar (if we have any left) that the taxpayers of this country will foot the bill in some manner for the drug-addled "athletes" that the olympics bring.
Also, knowing that the this is for the 2016 olympics, we have to question the true intentions (considering Obamadinejad said he wouldn't mind being a one-termer because of making tough decisions).
This is laced with scandal.

Old, but funny with new application:
While suturing a cut on the hand of a 75 year old rancher, who's hand was caught in the gate while working cattle, the doctor struck up a conversation with the old man. Eventually the topic got around to Obama.
The old rancher said, 'Well, ya know, Obama is a 'Post Turtle''
Not being familiar with the term, the doctor asked him, what a 'post turtle' was.
The old rancher said, 'When you're driving down a country road and you come across a fence post with a turtle balanced on top, that's a 'post turtle'.
The old rancher saw the puzzled look on the doctor's face so he continued to explain. 'You know he didn't get up there by himself, he doesn't belong up there, he doesn't know what to do while he's up there, and you just wonder what kind of dumb ass put him up there to begin with'.

I still can't believe some imbecile actually called the Olympics a non-partisan international forum with noble goals. You know, for people that could find sinister fascist plots in George Bush's morning Froot Loops, they sure are blind sometimes.

doesn't that picture with the lede make you think of Alfred E. Ombama - "What me worry?"
Posted by: chuck in st paul at September 30, 2009 8:57 PM
Oh, the humor...
So, some website get testimonials from people in Chicago and Fox runs the story. Ok...
Some stooge for the Olympic committee calls them up and says running the report will hurt the chances to get the games; which is, you know, part of his job.
The news editor decides to pull the story.
And from this you guys get...
OMG OBAMA STATE CONTROLLED MEDIA AAAAAAHHH!!
Ah, your paranoia is so amusing...

Okay, I guess I'll hafta be the one to ask.
How much is Odipshits' little jaunt to Copenhagen costing the American TAXPAYERS? And for WHAT?
The man is incorrigible.

Hey Fiberal, thanks for that.
Anybody see Glenn Beck last night RE Valerie Jarrett? I watched it this morning on DVR. Powerful and chilling stuff. What utter corruption through and through. Jay is right in response to the moonbat who thinks the Olympics are all just good clean fun. "Grow up."

Dear Hey You Guys.....
Just cause some may be paranoid does not mean they are wrong.

Now that Comrade Obama has failed to bring the Olympics to Chicago, collectivists can only blame Fox News and Matt Drudge for heresy.
You will soon see.
However we all know the truth is Michelle Obama's Helen-Keller-esque fashion sense brought hot burps to the Olympic committee.
