Congresscritters to Investigate ACORN — And Those Who Exposed It

There is no good or evil in Liberal Land. Everything is a nuanced shade of murky gray. Moonbattologists call this "moral relativism," a principle that has been applied yet again as two particularly unseemly congressional Democrats, Chairman of the House Judiciary Committee John Conyers (whose wife has been busted on felony bribery charges) and the repugnant Bonnie Fwank (whose homosexual love interest ran a brothel out of Fwank's apartment) have been forced by the shocking O'Keefe/Giles videos to investigate the cesspool that produced our current president. Naturally, they will also investigate O'Keefe and Giles for the possible crime of having exposed ACORN's eagerness to aid and abet child prostitution, slave trafficking, and tax fraud:

Conyers and House Financial Services Chairman Barney Frank of Massachusetts asked the nonpartisan Congressional Research Service on Tuesday to provide an analysis on several aspects of ACORN. Among them:
• Any current or previous criminal investigations into the group.
• A breakdown of any funding received by the group and any violations of the terms of that funding.
• A report on alleged improprieties in collecting voter-registration forms and "the extent … that resulted in people being improperly placed on voting roles and actually attempting to vote."
• The group's programs to provide housing opportunities.
It also asked for a report on private sting activities "in which individuals have reportedly visited ACORN offices, misrepresented their identities and proposed activities, surreptitiously videotaped resulting conversations with ACORN workers, and widely distributed them."
The letter went onto say, "Conflicting allegations have been made about the propriety of these activities. Please research and report on the federal and state laws that could apply to such videotaping and distribution of conversations without the consent of all parties."

For having made it impossible to ignore the character of the people who have taken over our government, O'Keefe and Giles are among the greatest patriots this country has seen since the Revolution. As a reward, they will probably spend the rest of their lives paying off their legal bills.

The congressional version of "Fair & Balanced" involves expending tax dollars on chasing down whistle blowers. How sensible.

Posted by: The MaryHunter at September 23, 2009 8:09 AM

If these two are charged, there will be a revolution.

Posted by: Jay B at September 23, 2009 8:10 AM

I foresee an O'Keefe-Giles Legal Defense Fund - you just watch Glenn Beck go with this. (I haven't listened to Beck today yet on radio, maybe he already has?)

Posted by: pomalom at September 23, 2009 8:13 AM

That fat, stupid, ignorant butt-ranger, Bonnie Faggot turns my stomach. Are the people of Mass. that stupid and corrupt to keep this abominable pee-pot in elective office, or what?!

Posted by: Duke at September 23, 2009 8:21 AM

Two criminals investigating ACORN... this is sickening. The two whistle blowers will be torn apart by the liberal media and the real criminals will be left to go free. Look at your new justice America!

Posted by: Jay B at September 23, 2009 8:23 AM

If two thugs videotaped in paramilitary garb wielding batons in front of a voting place can be let off free by BO's racist DOJ, I don't see how much will be done to incarcerate ACORN thugs.

Posted by: Fiberal at September 23, 2009 8:30 AM

Exactly Fiberal. Two thugs intimidating voters in a blatantly racist gesture? Sure, you're free to go. Investigative journalists exposing the horrors of an organisation that casually helps people setup brothels and child prostitution? Watch the Liberal media spin this full tilt. I still can't shake off the shivers I got watching those videos. These black criminal girls, so CASUALLY explaining how to dodge tax and setup these things, they don't even blink when they are told it's for child prostitution, it's just daily business for them.

What are the odds that i could go 'undercover' as a neo-nazi lunatic asshole, visit a redneck 'gun show', and expose all sorts of wrongdoing there, too?

If I asked a "like-minded" retard to sell me illegal assault weapons, we could blow it all out of proportion and finally get rid of the anachronism that is the 2nd amendment.

OR - Even better - get a guy to pretend to be an underage male hooker and solicit repub congresspeople. How many you think would bite? (It would be a large number, I think we are all aware...)

Both would be entrapment, just like this instance (would not have happened iff those kids had not forced it to happen), but that would be a logical counterthrust to these kids... you guys are welcome to open that can of worms if you want to.

rteducto ad absurdum: nobody can do anything because everyone, everywhere is trying to trap or catch everyone else.

Big brother, here we come.

Posted by: Anonymous at September 23, 2009 8:46 AM

Let is give thanks. Because I hope that Barney Frank & John Conyers holds FULL Congressionals PIMP Hearings!

These overstuffed SOCIALIST TURKEYS just love gobbling up any tasty young treat that drops on the congressionals proving ground.

But I'm betting that the President calls these hearings off when he gets back into town! Because as the TOP Chef knows that making the bread & sausage dressing requires more than just big bucks and a few chopped nuts.

The logical fallacy here obviates any need to address the poorly-considered topic.
But for the sake of argument, I think it's reasonable to ask you this question: are there any other cheap tiresome rhetorical fallacies that liberals know besides "parallelism"?

Guys, its just no challenge.

Posted by: Fiberal at September 23, 2009 8:55 AM

Do they really want to make this story more public? I'm sure Barry Obama would like to keep it out of the news since he trained ACORN workers.

RE: Posted by: Anonymous at September 23, 2009 8:46 AM

Anonymous (IF that's his REAL name.....you can't be too sure these days) jumps out with: "What are the odds that i could go 'undercover' as a neo-nazi lunatic asshole, visit a redneck 'gun show', and expose all sorts of wrongdoing there, too?

If I asked a "like-minded" retard to sell me illegal assault weapons, we could blow it all out of proportion and finally get rid of the anachronism that is the 2nd amendment."

It's being done every day, Anony-dude. How many 20/20, Dateline, and other "Investigative Reports" do you need to see? The problem (for them) is that they can never find the pattern or epidemic of bad behavior they say is there, so (as you say) they can 'blow it all out of proportion' and claim the exception makes the rule. They try, though.

Using your logic, we should all be anti law-enforcement because every now and then we find a police officer that has "gone bad". Never mind that this is the exception.

In the case of ACORN, we have a huge amount of evidence (not just the O'Keefe and Giles tapes) that suggest that it is being run as a criminal organization.

Get your head out of the sand and get a cloe, 'nonymoose.

"O'Keefe and Giles are among the greatest patriots this country has seen since the Revolution. "

*Boggle*

That's the kind of thing I'd expect to read on Jesus General. Congratulations, moonbattery, you are now indistinguishable from parody...

Posted by: ptet at September 23, 2009 9:08 AM

Maybe we ought to have an "investigation" of the liberal trolls that come out here and post racist / offensive things pretending to be "right wingers".....

Oh, but that never happens, does it?

Posted by: TonyD95B at September 23, 2009 9:08 AM

She can investigate my acorn any day.

Posted by: Seamus at September 23, 2009 9:09 AM

It's not entrapment. Aruging entrapment (in the legal sense) is practically impossible to do, because you have to shown that you would not have otherwise done this were it not for the coercion of a law enforcement official. ("Coercion" usually means that the undercover guy asks you to sell him drugs, and he pesters you so often that you go acquire drugs to sell to him just to shut him up.) The folks who made these undercover videos aren't guilty of entrapment if for no other reason than they're not part of law enforcement. Also, from the reaction of the ACORN employees, it doesn't seem that they had been constantly bothered by this pair in the past.

Why are conservative chicks the hottest?

Posted by: Anonymous at September 23, 2009 9:17 AM

Anonymous, you wear your ignorance on your sleeve.

What are the odds that i could go 'undercover' as a neo-nazi lunatic asshole, visit a redneck 'gun show', and expose all sorts of wrongdoing there, too?

Explain to me how this would excuse ACORN's criminal activities?

If I asked a "like-minded" retard to sell me illegal assault weapons, we could blow it all out of proportion and finally get rid of the anachronism that is the 2nd amendment.

That fact that you use the word anachronism to describe the 2ndAmendment, illustrates your deep ignorance on the topic. The 2nd Amendment was purposely written into the constitution, not to bestow the rights of duck hunting on the public, not to allow folks living in isolated rural communities to defend themselves, but to give the people the tools that are necessary to retake their government by force if necessary, should that government turn tyrannical. It is in essence, an insurance policy against domestic tyranny. But maybe that's what really bothers you about it...

OR - Even better - get a guy to pretend to be an underage male hooker and solicit repub congresspeople. How many you think would bite? (It would be a large number, I think we are all aware...)

Again, explain to me how this would excuse the criminal activity of ACORN.

Both would be entrapment, just like this instance

Would you describe MSNBC's To Catch A Predator with Chris Hansen as entrapment?

I hope not, because entrapment only involves law enforcement, not investigative reporters. Again, you're ignorant.

You seem intent on using the bad behavior of your political opposition to excuse the bad behavior of those working on your side. That's pretty childish. "Well, they did it!" Grow up.

Can somebody please explain to me why the so-called conservative woman in the photo is so inappropriately dressed?

She's wearing as little as possible, exposing her hips, and just about everything else. If I saw her on the street I'd think she's just another "slut feminist". You can see the top of her panties and her tan lines from her bathing suit. She stands there like she's actually accustomed to wearing much less.

Just goes to show you HOW FAR GONE AMERICAN WOMEN ARE. THIS IS CONSIDERED NORMAL!???

Seriously, PUT ON SOME CLOTHES.

The guy looks decent, respectable, and professional. The girl looks like a trashy whore. Did her parents not raise her properly? Ever hear of modesty?

WTF is wrong with women these days?

Anne and Nunya, Hannah was undercover as a prostitute. I don't believe she dresses that way in her day to day life. You should have seen the hilarious fur coat her partner wore when he was dressed as a pimp (on loan from her grandma, apparently).

"...among thegreatest patriots this country has seen since the Revolution"

think for a second of all of the people who've given their lives in all of the wars since the Revolution, or risked their lives or well being for this country.

Then think about how fucking stupid it is to say that.

Posted by: brs at September 23, 2009 9:54 AM

bras considering how much those two young people are going to be harrassed and intimidated by the press and law enforcement they have made a great sacrifice to shine the light on what acorn really is.Of course such sacrifice is unknown to losers such as yourself.
Anne,
relax everyone can't look as hot as the young lady.

Posted by: Farmer Ted at September 23, 2009 10:00 AM

"Why are conservative chicks the hottest?"

2 Reasons:

1) Conservative chicks practice personal hygiene.

2) Nasty chicks generally gravitate towards moonbattery, because government coercion is the only way they can get power.

Posted by: J at September 23, 2009 10:20 AM

Can somebody please explain to me why the so-called conservative woman in the photo is so inappropriately dressed?

Because though you pretend to, you don't understand conservatives.

Anyone like Anonymous who includes such gems in their posts as "neo-nazi lunatic azzhole", that the 2nd amendment is anachronistic and suggests that what ACORN was up is to is acceptable because people could also go undercover to "entrap" people fron the right is simply a troll and should probably be ignored.

Posted by: FenelonSpoke at September 23, 2009 2:13 PM

brs and ptet trawl through a post, wait for someone to exaggerate approval, make a spelling mistake, get a date wrong, then hit the divert button.
But these two are very useful indicators that the post is unarguable, that it hurts, and through their wincing pain, help me to realise the bullet got home.
As to Anne, with her pretense at writing like an uptight conservative, she gave herself badly away with "WTF is wrong with women these days?" Nice conservative women don't use WTF, Anne. Big mistake.

Posted by: Jim at September 23, 2009 2:18 PM

Great patriots? If she were a liberal, you'd be calling her a hussy! You are going to equate these two with the early labor movement who gave their lives so you could have a weekend off, a paid holiday, etc? equate them with those he lost their lives for the civil rights movement? How about MLK? How about those men and women who performed rescue duties on 9/11 and Katrina? Or better yet, you would equate them to the men and women serving in the military? Give me a Goddamned break! You are leaderless aren't you?

Yes, they are patriots. Considering the violent nature that ACORN and SEIU goons are known for, they did in fact place their lives in jeopardy.

Leaderless? Who cares about that?

Conservatives think as independent individuals, they don't some weird desperate codependency with their leaders like those in the "collective" hive of the left.
