Come and Take It, Thief

At a town hall meeting in Bremerton, Washington last week, blogger Keli Carender (aka Liberty Belle) sums up socialist greed succinctly by challenging Rep Norm Dicks (D-WA) to come take her money to pay for someone else's healthcare:

If Keli is an average American, Dicks and friends help themselves every year to tens of $thousands of the money she earns. Apparently it wasn't worth the effort of descending from his podium to snatch up another $20.

On tips from UpNorth and J. Hat tip: Hot Air.

LOL! Last audible excerpt from the clip: "I can't accept a contribution like that..." said the senator.

No - he'd rather have his IRS goons steal it so his "hands are clean".

Another Pontius Pilate. LOL!

This person dislikes freedom so much he willfully pretends this is about hating sick people.

Either that or anonymous doesn't understand the issue at all.

Thank you for making our case against you for us.

Because socialists, usually, are too self-absorbed and narcissistic to cure themselves of the virus. If they weren't so inclined to malevolently spread their disease, one could merely feel pity.

He hasn't the guts to take the money himself, he has to have his thugs do it for him...

The political class is far beyond the ambition of ordinary thieves. Thieves only rob you, they don't set themselves up to rob your children into successive generations.

Posted by: V the K at September 8, 2009 4:25 AM

VH,

Dick Face is a politician. When you say that he is too lazy to come down from his podium to snatch Carender's $20, you are wrong.

As Ted pointed out, politicians dont do any work. Dick Face will have someone take Carender's money for him (at an additional tax payer expense).

Posted by: Anonymous at September 8, 2009 5:24 AM

I don't hate sick people. I love my elderly relatives and do not want to see them put on an ice floe and sent away to die, with or without a "pain pill".

Doesn't matter if they're technically "Americans", or not. A socialist is a marxist is a communist.

Posted by: Anonyfag at September 8, 2009 5:24 AM- "...Espescially poor sick ones?"

Not all marxists are poor. The monetarily-challenged socialists deserve to be broke. They're retarded. Or lazy. Or both, usually.

If private industry is so efficient why are private industries begging the government for bailouts?

Posted by: Anonymous at September 8, 2009 5:41 AM

v the ..

why do you hate so much?

Posted by: Anonymous at September 8, 2009 5:42 AM

Grown ups understand that just because people disagree on policy doesn't necessarily mean they are motivated by hate. Only a childish simpleton would think all policy disagreements stem from hatred.

I also note the more heavily regulated by government an industry is, the more likely they are to ask for bailouts; which are generally opposed by free-market conservatives and embraced by statist liberals.

Posted by: V the K at September 8, 2009 6:01 AM

Yeah, that’s such a funny picture there, 9/11 was hilarious.

You know what I find hysterical? The fact that your incompetent, socialist Messiah and Democrat-controlled Congress are fucking up so badly that it’s guaranteed that the Republicans will be taking back many, many political seats in 2010 and Comrade Zero will be a one-term commie loser and also a lame duck for two years. I find that fucking HILARIOUS!

And when that does happen, please do all real Americans a favor and slit your own fucking throat with a butter knife...

Posted by: Fuzzlenutter at September 8, 2009 6:03 AM

v the klod,

You and your kind are ONLY motivated by hate. Oh, and fear. Fear and hate.

Why are so you so afraid, and why do you hate?

Posted by: Anonymous at September 8, 2009 6:40 AM

If private industry is so efficient why are private industries begging the government for bailouts?

A free market doesn't require success all across the board, as you imply. A free market requires that losers fail, not get "bailouts." This is why your question is faulty from the very premise, because a democratic government and a free market should not be in the business of bail-outs, period.

TARP, TALF, TALC, WXYZ, ABCD, etc. etc. should never have existed in the first place. These programs, along with the bail-outs, are killing our economy. The only solution is to allow the free market to actually operate.

Posted by: cowlove at September 8, 2009 6:45 AM

The wealthy DEMONcrats, of which there are plenty, should build there own hospitals to care for the poor on their dime. But they dont do this because they are hypocrites. Why not hold some sort of Jerry Lewis-like telethon to raise the cash - if for nothing else than to see how many rich liberals step up to the plate. George Soros could kick in the first billion or 2 to get things rolling.

Posted by: Ghost of Gallstone at September 8, 2009 6:45 AM

You forgot, he's racist too. Oh and religious. I think he owns guns also.

Jay, can you chime in here and reduce this babble to numbers per your ingenious system? Our troll needs help with efficiency.

Posted by: cowlove at September 8, 2009 6:47 AM

if we allowed the free market to run it's course there would be no car manufacturers in the US. In fact most American industry would be out of business in a matter of weeks, as foreign business would crush our industry providing better services at lower costs.

Posted by: Anonymous at September 8, 2009 6:55 AM

when the free market is allowed to run it's course without regulation one company inevitably buys up all the competetors and you are left with one large company in control of an entire industry. how is this good for the consumer? How is this different than a state run industry?

Posted by: Anonymous at September 8, 2009 7:00 AM

Well, cowlove, I hate Obama's multi-trillion deficits, and I fear for the future of a bankrupt country.

This idiotic line argument is easy to turn around. Why do liberals hate working class people so much that they drive manufacturing jobs to foreign countries with their massive taxes and regulations? Why do leftists hate the working class so much they import illegal immigrants to drive down their wages and standard of living? Why do leftists hate law-abiding people so much they want to release criminals into their neighborhoods? Why do they hate Americans so much that they side with Islamic terrorists?

Instead of attacking people's motives, I think it's sufficient to demolish the left on the basis of their bad policies and the impact of those policies on people.

Interestingly enough, perhaps we could create a more global economic playing field if we, you know, got the government's grubby hands off the free market...

But you forgot, what you just proposed has already happened. Government crushed initiative in American manufactoring long ago. That's why our current economy is 70% consumer spending. (In case you still don't understand, that means almost 3/4ths of our entire GDP consists just of us buying shit, mostly Chinese shit.) Thanks for making my case all on your own.

It's true that we regulate monopolies. Do you know why?

...

A monopoly is the antithesis of a free market

Thanks, again, for making my case for me.

Posted by: cowlove at September 8, 2009 7:26 AM

Big government and big corporations go hand in hand. All of those regulations make it harder for small companies to compete and survive. They raise the cost of entering markets. They require armies of bureaucrats to report to the government on regulatory compliance.

Big corporations are OK with this because they can use the costs and burdens of regulation to drive smaller competitors out of business. This is why Wal-Mart supports ObamaCare. Big insurance companies look forward to smaller competitors being driven out of business by the burdensome mandates and regulations required by ObamaCare.

Instead of discouraging monopolistic behavior, governments encourage it. The Obama admin's policy of bailing out banks that are "Too big to fail" has only encouraged further consolidation in the banking industry.

Posted by: V the K at September 8, 2009 7:38 AM

"I can't accept a contribution like that..." said the senator.

Of course not, it has to be forcibly taken from you.

Americans voluntarily contribute billions every year to domestic and foreign needy people. The UN says Americans "are greedy," and that we don't pay our way. Our government says we don't pay enough. They're both full of it.

It's not about charitable money. It never was. It's all about power. It always was.

Posted by: chuck in st paul at September 8, 2009 7:41 AM

VK the only edit I would make is that Bush started the bail-outs with TARP1. It was one of many things at the time that made me ashamed to be a Republican.

"I had to abandon free market principles to save the free market."

Unforgivable, and it paved the way to TARP2, TALF, TALC, Government Motors, and bail-out after bail-out. It was like the government had just been experimenting with weed for a while, and then got its first hit of crack. And now we have a cracked out government on a spending spree, looking for the next hit of the good stuff.

Posted by: cowlove at September 8, 2009 7:46 AM

Time to tell the IRS to stuff it, come get it.

If even 5 or 10% of America stood up and said NO the government will fall, them we start all over again from "We The PEOPLE..."

DO NOT let your employer do any source deductions!!!!

Posted by: FREE at September 8, 2009 7:50 AM

Just to be clear, cowlove, I was not a fan of Bush. And I see Obama as continuing the worst parts of the Bush legacy... bailouts and interference in the free market, while exacerbating others... the massive deficits.

Posted by: V the K at September 8, 2009 8:51 AM
