Ann Coulter Cuts to the Chase
Posted by Gregory of Yardale at September 29, 2009 4:09 AM
Nice Deb has turned up yet another video of public schoolchildren being indoctrinated to worship The One, Kim Jong-Il style. (Do you wonder how often this happens at public schools and doesn't get uploaded to YouTube? The ones we see have to be the tip of the iceberg.)
Leftists are saying it's no big deal that children are being taught to sing and chant praises to The One; after all, he is the Obamassiah. And they're sure something vaguely similar happened when Bush was president. But why do the lefties find it necessary to go after children?
Conservatism requires thought, reason, and ability to analyze; and some accurate knowledge of history is also helpful. Liberal progressive fascist statism requires only the ability to chant mindless slogans ("Yes, we can!") and vacuous platitudes that make you feel good. ("Everyone should have the right to health care.") The difference between liberal progressive fascist statism and commonsense conservatism is the difference between "Yea! Free health care from the government!" and "Given an understanding of the past failures of large government social programs, economic realities, and the intrusiveness a system of government managed health care would entail, government managed health care will probably be more expensive and less effective than the existing system."
Obviously, the liberal strategy is to get kids, and those who think like kids, chanting slogans and not thinking in terms of economics, history, or logic. But Ann Coulter puts it much more succinctly.
The feline synonym that starts with "p" sums up liberal progressive statists pretty well.
BTW: The public schools are the education version of the health care public option. How are they doing?

Oddly enough, pussy is very mild to describe something as nauseating as indoctrinating children.

Miss Coulter absolutely scares the daylights out of the political Left.
If you want to find out how the Letterman Loving Lizard-Like Loopy Loony Lobotomized Lemming-Like Liberal Low Life Leftist Losers really feel about strong women, just look at how they treat Ann, Sarah Palin, Michelle Malkin, et al.
Granted, the "p#ssy" comment was a bit on the crude side, but that's the sort of respect the neosocialist / fascist / communist Left in this country deserves.
Our resident trolls will come out with the usual bulls#it about "coarsening the debate", etc. - but Ann summed it up perfectly and said what needed to be said.

Any woman with a brain would be "stronger" then the three you mentioned.

Our resident trolls will come out with the usual bulls#it about "coarsening the debate"
Now, they didn't even aim that high. Instead, it's the usual coward-who-won't-leave-a-name spouting misogynistic comments against smart, strong women who have respect, real accomplishments, and success... and all the troll has ever accomplished is posting dumb unsigned comments in someone else's blog.

True here. Liberals are absolutely scared of women who stand up for themselves, they have to destroy them as quickly as possible. Just look at Sarah Palin, there was a media feeding frenzy on her. This is still school indoctrination, you know.

Sarah Palin is a complete and total idiot. She has embarrassed herself time and time again on national TV. She is a disgrace to what once was a decent Republican party, and to all woman in general.
The fact that you defend her idiocy is proof that you are incapable of judging character. Sorry.

Anyone ever studied Kenyan tribes. They do the same thing as what is being portrayed. They gather in a circle and chant and jump up and down. That makes things better! Then they are slaughterd by the rival tribe. This is Kenyan tribalism nothing more, nothing less!
Posted by: FreeWillie at September 29, 2009 6:55 AM
Culter and Milking are entertainers, who explioit your idiocy to ther fiancial benefit and gain. So, yes, they are smarter then Palin, but fooling you people doesn't require much intellect or skill, so I won't give them that much credit.
You just have to yell, Communist, Socialist, Marxist, Nazi a bunch of times and act all outraged. That's enough to get your attention and keep it.
Posted by: Anonymous at September 29, 2009 6:58 AM
Sarah Palin was a successful small-town mayor, who challenged the Republican establishment in her state, was elected governor of her state, cleaned up corruption, secured a multibillion dollar pipeline deal creating thousands of jobs, has a following of millions of supporters, has a multi-million dollar book deal, and has had more influence on the health care debate with one Facebook post than the POTUS had with five Sunday TV appearances and a speech to Congress.
And anonymous is a bitter troll who has accomplished nothing but posting unsigned comments in someone else's blog.

In many ways, the Obama worship in our public schools is only a continuation of the social engineering that has replaced real education over the past 30 years or so. For example, our children have been indoctrinated in 'save the planet' dogma for years being told endlessly how humans are soiling the earth. Hopefully parents are finally awakening to the perverted forces being applied to their young.
Posted by: czekmark at September 29, 2009 8:09 AM
According to Snopes this is a true story.
The Classroom
A lesson that should be taught in all schools . . and colleges! Back in September of 2005, on the first day of school, Martha Cothren, a social studies school teacher at Robinson High School in Little Rock , did something not to be forgotten. On the first day of school, with the permission of the school superintendent, the principal and the building supervisor, she removed all of the desks out of her classroom.
When the first period kids entered the room they discovered that there were no desks...'Ms. Cothren, where're our desks?' She replied, 'You can't have a desk until you tell me how you earn the right to sit at a desk.' They thought, 'Well, maybe it's our grades.' 'No,' she said. 'Maybe it's our behavior.'
She told them, 'No, it's not even your behavior...'
And so, they came and went, the first period, second period, third period. Still no desks in the classroom. By early afternoon television news crews had started gathering in Ms.Cothren's classroom to report about this crazy teacher who had taken all the desks out of her room. The final period of the day came and as the puzzled students found seats on the floor of the deskless classroom, Martha Cothren said, 'Throughout the day no one has been able to tell me just what he/she has done to earn the right to sit at the desks that are ordinarily found in this classroom. Now I am going to tell you.'
At this point, Martha Cothren went over to the door of her classroom and opened it. Twenty-seven (27) U.S. Veterans, all in uniforms, walked into that classroom, each one carrying a school desk. The Vets began placing the school desks in rows, and then they would walk over and stand along side the wall. By the time the last soldier had set the final desk in place those kids started to understand, perhaps for the first time in their lives, just how the right to sit at those desks had been earned.
Martha said, 'You didn't earn the right to sit at these desks. These heroes did it for you. They placed the desks here for you. Now, it's up to you to sit in them. It is your responsibility to learn, to be good students, to be good citizens. They paid the price so that you could have the freedom to get an education. Don't ever forget it.'
(NOT some inexperienced commie community organizer that couldn't run a lemonade stand!)

VK
Sarah Palin was a successful small-town mayor, who challenged the Republican establishment in her state, was elected governor of her state, cleaned up corruption, secured a multibillion dollar pipeline deal creating thousands of jobs, has a following of millions of supporters, has a multi-million dollar book deal, and has had more influence on the health care debate with one Facebook post than the POTUS had with five Sunday TV appearances and a speech to Congress.
VK, your grasp at painting an intellectual lightweight is beyond amusing. Palin left her Mayberry RFD town in debt (a common practice for the GOP these days), walked into a Governorship, is neck deep in scandals, hung the state out to dry to pursue other options (i.e. book deals, TV appearances, etc), was selected for a VP run only because she fit the suit, came to fame on Facebook with an outright lie and deception (another pattern of the GOP) which she later digressed yet continued to promote that lie.
Her Facebook credibility vs Obama's Sunday talk show outcome is questionable. The Public Option has been resurrected has it not?

Any could you please point yourself out at the Folsom street fest so we can put a face to your name.
Posted by: Farmer Ted at September 29, 2009 9:31 AM
Andy is well acquiainted with left-wing mythology, but not so much with facts.
The "debt" she supposedly left her town with was actually related to a sports complex that the town itself voted to build and take out debt for.
The "scandals" are primarily unsubstantiated allegations by bitter political opponents, all of which have been dismissed.
And Congress moved to take the 'Death Panels' out of the bill. Even if her accuracy in labeling them can be disputed, her effectiveness in getting them out before the public cannot.
And it still leaves Andy and Anonymous with nothing to brag about besides posting comments in someone else's blog.
Posted by: V the K at September 29, 2009 9:49 AM
What a beautiful story, TED. Reminds me of an history teacher I had in high school, he was passionate about it and loved to remind us that we couldn't be sitting in this class if it hadn't been for people who stood up for us, older and wiser, simply because they believed their young would have a better life. Maybe it's the ultimate Liberal goal, to repudiate everything the soldiers did for us.
Posted by: Jay B at September 29, 2009 9:55 AM
"lightweight" is an understatement Andy. Skimming the comments here, it is laughable that there is any defense of Sarah Palin on a political level. Wasilla was left in debt, she was a disaster as a VP candidate, and then up and quits her job as Governor less than a year later. Yes, she took a beating from the media, but her skin proved to be be paper thin. Then we have V the Kitten say she created thousands of jobs? Please... the unemployment is 8.3% in Alaska.
As for Ann Coulter, the queen of "fear porn". She will readily pounce when someone falls on hard times, yet will never answer a simple question on a dead doctor, random shootings, or even a dead census worker.
"its time to end compultiary schooling abolish the DEPT OF BRAINWASHING(EDUCATION) and return to home or private schooling" Spurwing, this is about the dumbest thing I have ever read. And what do you suppose we do with the poor parents who wish to see their children do better than themselves? Put them in front of "death panels"? Further, we did not hear a peep out of the right when children were singing praise to Bush and FEMA following Katrina (which was a major fuck up), so where were you then?
Posted by: Ghost of Wellstone at September 29, 2009 10:00 AM
VK, it's always a common practice for the defenders of the empire to cry "unsubstantiated allegations by bitter political opponents" (although they started before her VP announcement and have escalated since). It dates back to "I'm not a crook" but the outcomes are almost always the same.
There was never ever a "Death Panel" provision in the bill to be removed. Effectiveness of manipulating the truth or even outright lying in order to fool the public is not an admirable quality in most civilized cultures. That seems however, to have become the hallmark of the GOP.
On another note, this should be an interesting week in the Senate.
Posted by: Andy42302 at September 29, 2009 10:04 AM
That distortion was demolished yesterday, Goatse. The children were not singing a hymn to Bush. And the dead census worker was more likely murdered by drug dealers than anyone on the right.
But it's a measure of your desperation that you have to blow those events out of all proportion to the facts.
And what's the unemployment in Michigan? 15%? Yeah, your Obamacrats are doing one hell of a job there.
Posted by: V the K at September 29, 2009 10:04 AM
Wellstone, what are you talking about regarding school kids singing to Bush's praises following Katrina? All I remember from that time frame was the MSM blaming Bush for a natural disaster. Were they afraid to cover kids singing Bush's praises because it would contradict their narrative that everyone in NO hated him? If so, why are you blaming us for not responding to it? We never heard about it!
Posted by: Judith M. at September 29, 2009 10:08 AM
Typical response from someone that's losing an arguement--"And what's the unemployment in Michigan? 15%? Yeah, your Obamacrats are doing one hell of a job there." Ouch!!! You really burn when you're hot don't you VK?
Posted by: Andy42302 at September 29, 2009 10:09 AM
Number of allegations for which Sarah Palin was prosecuted: 0
Nuff said.
Note, one of the "ethical complaints" was because Sarah Palin wore a parka with "Arctic Cat" on it during Winter in Alaska. Whoa! What a scandal! That makes Ted Kennedy killing a woman look like picket change.
Whereas Charlie Rangel and Tim Geithner's tax evasion? No big deal. Bill Richardson's Pay for Play scandal? No big deal.
You Obamacrats have a funny way at defining "scandals."
Posted by: V the K at September 29, 2009 10:09 AM
So according to V the K, the kids weren't singing a hymn to Bush at all. That explains it. Another left wing distortion bites the dust.
Posted by: Judith M. at September 29, 2009 10:10 AM
What are you talking about regarding school kids singing to Bush's praises following Katrina?
Apparently, after Katrina, Laura Bush visited the Golf Coast, and some children sang a song of welcome for her that acknowledged the contribution of Americans as a whole, Congress, FEMA, and president Bush in the recovery efforts. (Which went quite well in states run by Republicans.)
This, to leftists desperately looking for a parallel to several schools making children sing hymns of praise to Obama, is the best they could do.
Oh, and did I mention 8.3% is below the national average of 9.7%? Guess Sarah was doing better than Dear Reader at that employment thing.
Posted by: V the K at September 29, 2009 10:12 AM
V the Kitten, "demolished"?
“Our country’s stood beside us
People have sent us aid.
Katrina could not stop us, our hopes will never fade.
Congress, Bush and FEMA
People across our land
Together have come to rebuild us and we join them hand-in-hand!”
Both are a little of an issue. Yet, you guys want to jump on the "indoctrination" nonsense. Further, as far as the census worker, we don't know who killed him. Yet, "FED" being written on his chest, begs the question, is it the drug dealers fearstruck by the government, or the right-wing?
"But it's a measure of your desperation that you have to blow those events out of all proportion to the facts." project much?
As far as unemployment goes, yes Michigan is having a hell of a time. That said, so are alot of other places. 8.3 or 15.6...both are bad and are nothing to brag about. Michigan is well known to be the first into and last out of a recession.
Judith, Bush was not blamed for the disaster, he was blamed for the weak response to it.
Posted by: Ghost of Wellstone at September 29, 2009 10:17 AM
V the Kitten, try this math ok? Population of Alaska 686,293 with an 8.3 unemployment, population of Michigan 10,003,422 with a 15.4 unemployment.
Posted by: Ghost of Wellstone at September 29, 2009 10:38 AM
So-stoned you are really reaching on the Katrina disaster. Granted the head of Fema was a dimwit, but he did testify that the gov(d) of louisiana and the mayer(d) of NO were bickering like school children so he told them that the aid was ready, before Katrina struck, and to give him a call when they wanted it. It is and should be the mayor and governor working TOGETHER to help the people get out of a potential natural disaster. Not arguing over who gets what. Sorry to break the news to you.
Oh yeah, just incase you have forgotten your math %8 unemployement is alot better than %15.
Posted by: Farmer Ted at September 29, 2009 10:38 AM
is it the drug dealers fearstruck by the government
Yeah, because it's not like there's a DEA or a 'War on Drugs' or anything.
Does it hurt to be as stupid as you are? It should.
Michigan is well known to be the first into and last out of a recession.
And it's de facto run by the unions. Coincidence?

That's not true. After the death of George Tiller, Coulter famously said that he was NOT murdered, and that he was instead aborted during the 238th Trimester. As for "Random Shootings" (Most of which are perpetrated with ILLEGAL firearms), Coulter's position on the 2nd amendment is clear: Gun restrictions ONLY restrict the law abiding.
"Spurwing, this is about the dumbest thing I have ever read. And what do you suppose we do with the poor parents who wish to see their children do better than themselves? Put them in front of "death panels"

The typical "Poor Children won't have shoes unless the Government provides it for them", Argument. If ALL Public Schools were privatized immediately, market forces would drive the failed schools out of business, while the successful schools would expand and grow. Wellstoned can't have any of that. He prefers the factories of ignorance that Public Screwels are today. Where else will his fellow leftists be able to brainwash children into hating America and accepting deviancy as normal? Wellstoned doesn't want to lose that kind of control.

Noticeable difference. They were blessing him (you know, to keep him safe and such). It wasn't mindless worship. "DELIVER US, OBAMA!"

Dear Ghost,
Please don't evoke Katrina again. Katrina is the LAST argument a liberal should ever try to make. Seriously. There is no need to look further than the concept of individual responsibility to know that this was a huge liberal failure.
YOU are responsible for YOU.
Then, YOU can get assistance from your "block organizer",
your "community leader", then your Ward president, then your Major, then your County government, your State government.....
and lastly, your FEDERAL government; which is there only to give you tents, water, and a PAT ON THE BACK for getting the hell out.
Posted by: Pete at September 29, 2009 4:59 PM
Well refuter, it did occur to the tune of "Hey look me over"
http://thinkprogress.org/2006/04/17/katrina-song/
So, again you demonstrate your hypocrisy. It is this never ending nonsense of the conservative double standard would be funny if it only happened occasionally.
Posted by: Ghost of Wellstone at September 29, 2009 5:00 PM
Wellstoned, you turkey. Your example didn't occur within the confines of a Public SCHOOL as those presented by Van Helsing did, so it's FAIL on your part. Besides, your example does NOT include almost mythical worship of George Bush. I would agree that it was tasteless, and perhaps inappropriate, but Van Helsing's examples are more egregious and more numerous.
Posted by: Refuter of Liberal Vermin at September 29, 2009 6:29 PM
Anyway Wellstoned, So I stand (Somewhat) corrected on the Bush Katrina thing. What about the other points I made? What about the 9.7% National Unemployment rate? What about the Failed schools? What about most gun crime being perpetrated with stolen or illegal firearms?

"VK, it's always a common practice for the defenders of the empire to cry "unsubstantiated allegations by bitter political opponents""
'Defenders of the Empire'?
LOL, that's funny!
Which Marxist philosophy book or political screed by a dope- addled Woodstock leftover did you borrow that term from?
"Judith, Bush was not blamed for the disaster, he was blamed for the weak response to it."
1. Eco- freaks claim that Bush's environmental policies contributed to (Dun dun dun!) global warming, which supposedly caused Katrina.
2. Black nationalists like Louis Farrakhan and other such conspiracy theorists have stated that Bush had the New Orleans dam levees blown up to prevent black people from escaping alive.

Refuter, I agree, neither should have been done. It is now being reported the parents of the students in the Obama clip approved of it. It is also reported that this segment was less than one minute amongst 40 minutes for the presentation of learning and celebrating Black History Month.
9.7% is pretty accurate. However, Alaska is less than 700,000 people, so 8.3% is not great. It is not good in very many places. That said, many of you act like this took place in January. We have been on this slide for about six or seven years.
As for firearms, I am not arguing that random shootings are done with stolen guns. However, many are not. These shootings in the past year were done with registered firearms to the best of my knowledge. I am not looking it up. From memory, I don't recall any reports disputing that. That said, if are communities are safer with tighter restrictions that only delay the purchase, I think that is a fair trade.

Posting snide troll remarks under the name, "anonymous" is a pussy thing to do.
Meanwhile, all pussy aside, I thought Coulter was right on again. The Left has Rosie O'Donnel, but I prefer Coulter.
Sometimes I picture Rosie and Sonia Sotomayor making love... I think it's where little trolls come from.

Well, in the case of your parents, serious counselling, I should imagine. I certainly hope, for their sake, that you haven't surpassed them. After all, your marxist state education has elevated you to such dizzying heights as being #1 sammich maker to Flavor Flav.

Oh Goatse, you scamp. The irony-free accusation of "hypocrisy" and "double standards" is adorable. Like a kitten in a slipper. Still "standing up for ALL minorities", sweetcheeks?
