No, what I meant was that if nobody carried a weapon, there would be no such thing as 'those intent on doing harm' because no-one will be afraid of the threat of armed violence, therefore weapons will no longer be necessary, much in the same way that if no country in the world had an army, your country wouldn't need an army because it wouldn't have to defend itself.
