ACORN Roasting on an Open Fire
According to the mainstream media (and the trolls who echo them), conservatism is dying, the American people want European style socialism, Glenn Beck is a liar, and ACORN is a completely innocent group of civic minded community organizers who've been unfairly maligned by the racist far-right. All the charges against them were trumped up and blown out of proportion by FoxNews and hate radio.
Except...
Well, there are those pesky videos of ACORN workers facilitating mortgage fraud, immigration fraud, tax fraud, and facilitation of underage prostitution. ACORN claimed the videos were "a smear," and that it had only happened in one city. Oh, but then another video came out from a different city. Then, another. And apparently, there's more to come.
And as a result of this grossly unfair (totally accurate) smear campaign (investigative journalism) ACORN lost its contract to do Census Work. And today, the Senate (owned by Democrats!) passed a bill, 87-3, to bar ACORN from receiving Federal funding.
I'm stunned. I was assured by the MSM and left-wing bloggers that ACORN was clean as the driven snow. But it turns out, they were lying.
Do you think they could be lying about that other stuff, too?

I don't think Pelosi signing two different certifications would get him impeached. I think he's probably guilty of impeachable offenses, but proving it without a shadow of a doubt would be a HUGE undertaking. I think Obama would declare martial law before that happened and shut down the internet.

Who were the three who voted against (and the nine or so that didn't vote)? It would be interesting to see what their perspective is. When does this come to the House? Hopefully they retain a veto-proof majority. Face that, post turtle.

I would have to find a link, but one was Burrus (IL) And we know about the ties of the Chicago ACORN to Obama. One was Gillabrand, NYC. I assuming she thinks she's voting in favor of aid cities.

You know that we as Conservatives are moving forward when the "Intellectuals" start sneering about us "fragmenting", "losing relevancy", etc.. Seems they start that stuff evry time they think they might lose something. They've been saying that about Limbaugh for a good many years, and it seems like every time they do, he surges ahead yet some more. That's the price you pay for being called "has-been" and "irrelevant" by Moonbats.

I note the resident dipshits don't even post on "ACORN" threads anymore. Early on, on any thread criticizing ACORN, they were here in all their numbers (4?), in their "we are better than you" mode, calling everyone who recognized ACORN for what they are as racists. *snicker*
This proves another fact: If the daily responses to "debate points" points aren't posted on DemoUnderground or KKKos - they are speechless!

Ah yes, mortgage fraud. How did this economic mess start snowballing again? I think I heard about a hotshot young "community organizing" attorney helping ACORN shake down Citibank a few years back.
But anyway, I read all about this on the NYT blog. (You know it's really important if they mention it on the blog instead of putting it on the front page of the paper.) Apparently this is really still about the alleged voter registration fraud. The mortgage fraud advice, the child prostitution advice, and advising on how to commit tax evasion are really just side issues...barely worthy of mention.
