ACORN Closing Down 40% of its Offices

goodnewseveryone.jpg

ACORN was where the Moonbat Messiah got his street cred as community agitator. ACORN was the unsung hero (to the left) of the 2008 elections. The same Barack Obama who claims he knows nothing ... NOTHING ... about ACORN gave them $800,000 out of his campaign coffers for "get out the vote" activities. ACORN's questionable voter tactics secured a margin of Obamacrat victory in normally sane states like North Carolina and Indiana. Despite (or perhaps because of) multiple allegations of and indictments for voter fraud, ACORN secured millions, perhaps billions, in the Spendulus package as a payoff from grateful Obamacrats.

But, alas, an intrepid duo of documentary film-makers (O'Keefe and Giles), a blogger (Breitbart), and a talk show host (Beck) exposed the fact that ACORN was nothing else but a criminal enterprise designed to shakedown the taxpayers for money, As a result, both branches of Congress have moved to defund ACORN, and the shakedown artists have been forced to close 40% of their offices in cities like Chicago, Salt Lake City, and New Orleans, and are no longer signing up new members. ACORN claims it's because of the "poor economy," which we know is bull because in a poor economy an organization like that backed by millions in taxpayer funding should be expanding.

This explains the deranged hatred of the left toward Glenn Beck. It must suck to be a leftist and have someone you've derided as an idiotic "mad man" expose and destroy one of your key players.

Over at the DU, there is much wailing and gnashing of teeth, of course. Sometimes though you get a lone voice in the wilderness, saying "How can you defend these scum? I've got a REAL PROBLEM with child sex trade. Don't you?" These people are dismissed as Freepers.

This isn't a good time to be liberal. These fools are asked to be blindly obedient in their leaders and they are peeled away like an onion and tossed away. Talk about a test of faith. arrived 2010, the only Obama supporters will be those who've been repeating his name eight hours a day praying and the black population, who would vote for him even if he would piss on the audience during each of his appearance.

This is a good start, and a testament to the potency of Beck, Breitbart, the kids, etc. But nailing ACORN for real is going to be like trying to nail jello to the wall. I believe they will reconstitute and be back in FULL force within a year, just as soon as the last videos are out + 1 month. At that point, we will be in an ongoing struggle against the socialist zombie horde over cap 'n tax, or huge raises for teachers, or a bailout for the SEIU pension fund, or whatever else they can think of to keep the zone flooded and their enemies off balance. And right in the middle of that thicket, ACORN will be back, possibly with a new name but all the same old players, same old taxpayer funding, and same old scam of signing up dead people and cartoon characters to vote. Notice how the ACORN mob is letting Big Bertha twist on the vine right now all by her lonesome, while hundreds of players at all ranks within and surrounding that decrepit organization hang back to see what transpires and to plan their next moves.

This battle has barely started.

We need to keep track of the people, more than the organization. Wherever one of these cockroaches shows up, we'll know they're acorn, and what to expect of them.

Isn't closing ACORN part of the plan? They're changing their name to Organizing for America. So just a quick paint job on the sign and they're back in business. I won't believe they're gone until I see the stake through the heart and the stimulus money returned.

Agreed with everyone here. Stupid ideas don't die. They just resurface in different forms and under different names (see: socialism).

He dosent know how much his alma mater is getting from the unwilling, duped taxpayers but, knows about the imbecille who swiped the mike from the pretty girl and terms him jackass.
THAT sounds like modus operandi acornae.

Oh, we haven't heard the last of ACORN. A number of states are still investigating their voter fraud from '06 and '08. And they'll crawl out from under the outhouse pits they lurk in, to try to further undermine our constitutional republic form of government to protect their rice bowl in '10, you can count on it. I'm counting on enraged voters staying so, to send a message to both ACORN and the Democrats that subsidize them, that their illegal and liberal shenanigans are going from peak to nadir in the next couple election cycles.
