A Cloud of ObamaCare

The Democrat buzzwords for selling ObamaCare are "Choices" and "Competition." The intention is to deceive the public into thinking that choice and competition will be the central features of the health care bill because most of the public fears the actual focus of the bill is government control.

Brian Ledbetter at SnappedShot ran the "moderate" Baucus Health Care Bill through a word cloud analyzer, producing an image in which the most frequently used words in the bill are made larger and more central, and the less frequently used words are smaller and peripheral. Guess what words are most emphasized in the "moderate" Baucus Bill. If you guessed "Choices" and "Competition," you need to put the Kool-Aid down.

The words "Require" "Requirement" and "Requirements" appear no less than 748 times in a 1,000 page bill. The words "Secretary" and "Chairman" are also pretty dominant.

"Choice" and "Competition" are nowhere to be seen.

But don't get the idea the government is out to control health care or anything.

I'd like to see H.R. 3200 run through the word cloud.

Love the choice of words for the new (if this crap passes) Health Czar: Health Choices Commissioner. No "health" involved here, only certain death, hurried along as best the libs can do it, with mandated suicides (eventually),and the withholding of care and/or drugs (a "death sentence" in all but name); no "choices" at all, only the government-mandated and rationed care you will consider yourself lucky to get (if they don't kill you off to get your worthless ass out of the way -- Utopia awaits, don'cha know?); and "commissioner," which should by rights be "Commissar," or, hell, just plain "Czar" (Russian for "King," like what Obama considers himself to be). But the Marxists cannot be honest, never have been and never will be. So we get a "Health Choices Commissioner," instead of what he (or she) really will be: the person who decides whether you and your family live or die.

Sorry, drones, but it's that simple. If you like nationalized health-care, move to Canada (or Oregon, or Massachusetts -- good luck and more power to 'ya). Leave the rest of us the hell ALONE!

So right now I'm a student with $0.00 income. If I don't have insurance, and don't want to go on government insurance, and I don't plan to purchase ANY insurance any time soon, I'll still be fined the $1300 or whatever every year? If that happens, I'll sue the government and take their ass to the supreme court.

At least that's what I understand according to the Baucus plan. Which offers only the worst of both worlds.

Yes, we need HR3200 ran in this clout... and isn't it amazing how facts are never taken into consideration by liberals? Bammie will go on TV once again sunday, all day long, repeating the same lies, when people who have read the bill (and there are more and more, I'm only halfway throught) know he is selling snake oil. They tried to shove it quickly and lose their defenses when people point out stuff into that monstrocity. What's worse, the lawmakers answer by saying they didn't read it. Who the hell writes law, then?

anon, you are finally catching on. Your generation voted for Hope 'n Change, and what you're getting is a fine for not chipping in for the medical bills of my generation. Welcome to the wild and wooly world of "unintended consequences". After you watch another 20 years of this and turn around 45, you will realize that almost all attempts to make things better actually make things worse. And just wait for Cap 'n Trade, in which college students who supported a Leader who would cause the seas to heal find themsrlves with a $150 per month increase in their utility bills (according to new numbers from the Treasury Dept. today), so that a bunch of 45 year olds working at GE can pocket some extra coin on their stock options once GE corners the market in carbon credits, in partnership with the 45 year olds over at Goldman Sacks. That is the whole problem with the transfer of wealth - you can never be quite sure whether you're going to be the transferee or the transferor.

As normal people mature, they tend towards conservatism and actually understand the concept of long-term consequences (direct and indirect). It's shortly defined by being "pragmatic."

Liberalism is, essentially, perpetual immaturity and ignorance towards reality.

ATTC, read The Liberal Mind.

On a sidenote, how close was I to what the book eludes to?

Congrats for figuring out this is just another way for the liberal government to collect EVERYONE's money. Even those who make under $250K. (*snicker* - Obama's most famous lie.)

Socialist liberals are THIEVES.

ATTC, 8 out of 10.

ATTC, I get all my books from the library, but check Amazon, 'cuz they often sell books of similar subjects at a discount when you purchase together.

(I just looked and they are giving a discount on The Liberal Mind and Liberty and Tyranny; I looked a while back and it was being sold with Liberal Fascism.)

All 3 of those books are on my list already. Great minds think alike (I know, I'm conceited, but content with that).
