Blacks don't go to national parks because who else is going to rob your house while YOU go to visit them?

I grew up going to Yosemite every summer. Yup, not a whole lot of black folks attended. But I do remember the summer that a large church group came in buses and kept everyone up til the wee hours, perhaps they were from a different time zone. They were loud all night every night. And I remember when they departed what an enormous mess they left as if the government was gonna pick up their mess. Me and my brothers did. We couldn't believe the poor behavior. This is just by the way commentary. No real conclusions.

I'm sure that it has nothing to do with the life of government dependency the left has inflicted upon them, which keeps them close to urban centers that provide the left's oppressive entitlement programs.

Maybe they don't go because they think bears and mountain lions like dark meat.

I lived in Yosemite for almost 3 years. Hardly any black Park Service employees, or visitors. But I worked with plenty of AA's for the concessioner (worked for YP&CCo. at the time).

There really wasn't any racial animosity among us employees, and this was in the early 90's. But now that I think about it, not many of my black co-workers stayed for the winter, and not many were into hiking or camping. Maybe that explains why not many others visited?

I have to respectfully disagree.

The African American community continues to be enslaved by the polices forced upon them by the American left.

They create social programs that amplify the very problems they are purported to solve. These social programs are highly seductive, and cause folks in the black community (particularly the uneducated) to become subjugated through hand outs that are just enough to help the survive, but never enough to allow them to thrive. This in essence keeps the African American "in their place."

They compound the problem by teaching them at an early age in schools that A. this is the only life they can expect to have, B. they are entitled to whatever handouts government decides to give them, and C. the perpetuated myth that anything bad that happens to them is due to their skin pigmentation.

Leftists excuse and apologize for any kind of behavior, using a black person's pigmentation as a shield from any kind of criticism. So the black community is indulged in any kind of behavior they wish to partake in, and feel there is no consequences because the left protects them from severe punishments, as one method to buy their votes.

Because of this, the majority of the African American community are beholden to their leftist masters in government for their daily bread. Without realizing what's really being done to them, and thinking that they're getting something for nothing, they continue to vote their leftist masters into office, to continue the pittance the left hands out in entitlements, which also buys their votes.

Because let's face it, if poverty in the black community were solved, what use would the black community have for the Democratic Party?

Whole generations of African Americans have been oppressed by the left with these means.

But the African American community is a sleeping giant. Once they come to realize what the left has done to them for decades, there may not be a Democratic Party anymore.

Blacks are slaves today - slaves to the Democratic Party. Most are incapable of independent thought. Most have been conditioned to sit around waiting for government checks and bid daddy government programs to make their lives better. Its not just blacks, but all who are poor - poor whites as well. I would rather you refer to a black American as a Negro American then an African. You make it sound like he is only half of an American or that blacks have a partial allegiance to Africa.
Also I must point out that your comment does seem to infer that those poor Africans don’t know any better and are easily deceived due to there low intelligence? I have to say since I do not look at skin color when I compare myself to another man that the same choices I made in my life could have been made by a black person or as you would call them “Africans”.
