Rep. Gene Green: ID for Town Halls, Not for Voting
Incredible: Arrogant Congresscommie Gene Green (D-TX) opposes requiring an ID to vote. This actually makes sense, because the votes of illegal aliens and cheaters who vote multiple times will be for Democrats with few if any exceptions.

His town hall meetings, on the other hand, do require ID:

This probably makes sense too, from the point of view of a statist who would like to intimidate constituents who might oppose federal power grabs from showing up at town hall meetings to voice opposition.
What doesn't make sense is why the people of Texas would vote for a clown who so openly despises them. I doubt they'll be repeating the mistake in Green's case.

a "coordinated effort" to disrupt townhall meetings apparently rates higher than a "coordinated effort" to stuff the ballot boxes, one has to ask the question "who benefits from packing the polls with unidentified people?".

Absolutly positivly no ID to vote why should we allow BIG BAD BROTHER to snoop into everything?

I despise this politician and his hypocrisy but I have no problem with this as long as he is applying the recidency requirement fairly that means no Acorn or SEIU etc either so chances are the real show of strength will be real local citizens with real concerns about the direction the country is heading in. Maybe just maybe the congressthing will get a sense that he's gonna lose his job if he votes the wrong way on this.

When I vote, I show them my VETERAN'S card.

I keep thinking that there are plenty of people who want to participate, and have valid concerns, questions, and objections, who simply can't in their own districts because their reps are slimy weasels that are hiding out and not having any town halls. Where are these people to go to redress their grievances? We need to get in the faces of these weasels and wish them to enjoy the remainder of their final term in office. I think that might bring them some reality.

Texas is still a bastion for clear conservative thinking.
You've got to realize that Mr. Green Jeans represents a completely gerrymandered and heavily Hispanic congressional district with twisted geography in Houston designed and drawn by insipid little libtards to ensure it is a lock for Democraps. In fact, Republicans haven't even challenged him because it's a waste of time ... given the thugs, illegals, and imbecilles that constitute the vast bulk of his constituents at various times (tons of illegals enter Houston in his district, frequently by jumping off trains coming from Mexico). It would be political suicide for him to vote in favor of a voter's id, or anything that might hamper illegal aliens' or their anchor babies' ability to get something for nothing or to vote for more freebies.
Intelligent and decent people in Houston realize their representatives already despise Obama and his socialized healthcare and will vote against it. They are organized and ready to go to meetings to tar and feather nutjobs like Sheila Jackson Lee and fence sitters like Green, who natuarlly don't want to hear what they have to say.
It could be worse, Green does realize that the industrious and hard-working Hispanics in his district would likely have relatives in the military, so he voted in favor of the Iraq Resolution in 2002, and gave a speech on the house floor linking Saddam Hussein to the 9/11 attacks.

Is there any reason why we couldn't implement the purple-ink-on-the-thumb measure as a nationwide voting requirement? Seriously.
It's my belief that ACORN, et. al., are getting a little better at voter fraud with each successive election, and with the massive infusion of money into these organizations from our current administration, the fraud in the next election may be historic. It might not matter how many of us tea partiers get energized and turn out to vote if the fraud goes unchecked.

I'd go with that, it would be a mark of PRIDE.
Remember the one Iraqi woman who shoved her whole finger into the ink pot? She said it was like she was sticking her finger into Saddaam's EYE!

Gee, I'm employed in Gene Green's district. I'd like to express my concerns to him about what his vote will do to my employer and the health plan provided to me by that employer.
And what about those who own businesses in the district but who live outside the district? Is their voice unimportant, even though they employ Green's constituents?
