Moonbat Tech: Fab Tree Hab
Moonbats have a hard time leaving childish things behind, so they'll be delighted to learn they can save the polar bears by playing in a tree house:

Inspired by the ecocentric attitudes of such beloved American nature-lovers as Thoreau, Emerson, Whitman and Alcott, three MIT designers - Mitchell Joachim, Lara Greden and Javier Arbona - created this living treehouse in which the dwelling itself merges with its environment and nourishes its inhabitants. Fab Tree Hab dissolves our conventional concept of home and establishes a new symbiosis between the house and its surrounding ecosystem. …
The trees that form the frame and the plants that grow on the external walls are meant to provide sustenance for the inhabitants and other living creatures who interact with the structure.
Fortunately rats and cockroaches have given moonbats some experience in sharing their abodes with other living creatures.
[T]he designers aim to demonstrate that natural building materials, when utilized in their living state, can create a "superstructure" that is biologically pure and contains no unknown substances. They point out that new building materials, even those that champion sustainability, are nevertheless industrially manufactured and contain components that are not fully understood in terms of their longterm impact.
At last we can reject all industrially manufactured materials and live with the purity of Neanderthals again! But you might want to keep an umbrella on hand for when it rains.

"American nature-lovers Thoreau, Emerson, Whitman and Alcott"
Please tell me they were just nature-lovers, not commie-loving pinko eco-phreaks.

I have a few objections. And any Liberal can comment free from debate, I'd really like to hear if I'm wrong.
Isn't it "mean" to twist trees like that?
Wouldn't twisting trees and bushs necesitate some sort of machinery?
If you could "train" trees to grow that way, (Like bonsi and some toporairies) wouldn't that take years? Where do you live in the meantime?
Since these trees are alive and growing, wouldn't that demand yearly "adjustment" of your house?
Like most houses "of the future", this was not designed for human habitation.
But anyway, I've always thought that the Swiss Family Robinson treehouse was cool!

It's well possible to train trees in various growth patterns. Google "circus trees" there was a fellow that did some really wild stuff with training and grafting. There was some corporation in Europe that was training the trees around their headquarters into squares or cubes. Some moonbats objected, indeed.

How long does it take for the trees to grow to the desired size for the frame?I don't think your average homeowner is going to want to wait 30 or 40 years for the house to grow
