McGovern and Neal: Two More Congresscommies Pummeled by Constituents

Democrat Congresscreeps continue to discover that Americans don't much like being sold into socialist slavery:

U.S. Reps. James P. McGovern and Richard E. Neal were heckled and booed after trying to rally support today for President Barack Obama's plan for a comprehensive national health insurance program.
The two Worcester-area Democratic lawmakers were shouted down several times by people attending a packed "town hall" meeting at the University of Massachusetts Medical School.
UMass officials threatened several times to end the gathering because of the raucous behavior, which occurred despite a heavy police presence.
At one point, Mr. McGovern was likened by an attendee to Josef Mengele, the Nazi officer who performed experiments on concentration camp survivors.
Despite the generally hostile crowd, the two legislators insisted that a health care overhaul was desperately needed and that changes to the system would financially benefit all.
Most attending the meeting, however, disagreed — charging that the huge price tag for a new health care program would bankrupt the country.
They argued care options also would be limited and that life-sustaining support would be denied to senior citizens…

It's telling that our rulers think they need a "heavy police presence" to face their constituents. They must be having nightmares about the tar and feathers they so richly deserve.

Good thing they had cops to protect them from this scary-looking mob.

They just need to be reminded that Nancy Pelosi isn't the one who votes to keep them in office. So they have the choice to play along with her silly games to advance her agenda and their careers or actually represent the agenda of those who will make the choice whether or not they will even have a career in politics.

Praise the Lord that we still have local control of our police other wise no one would dare make a peep. How long we get to keep law enforcement under local control is another troubling question.

The federal government is exceeding its authority in so many ways and on so many levels it makes even the savages tremble.

This is the natural course for those without fear for the Lord. Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away. For of this sort are they which creep into houses, and lead captive silly women laden with sins, led away with divers lusts, ever learning, and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth.

However we wont turn away. The people want to hear the sweet lies. They want the man to solve their problems and there are many more problems on the way. The Lord is sending them special delivery, Amen.

The Lord is my Shepard I shall not want,

"It's telling that our rulers think they need a "heavy police presence" to face their constituents"

When those 'constituents' are red-faced bloviating gasbags who use increased shouting volume as a substitute for understanding, is it any wonder that there are police there? If they were capable of civilized discourse (and capable of understand the answers when they ask questions) I imagine that there would be no need of police.....

I can re-post the youtube link of the old guy yelling about "keep[ing] the government out of my Medicare" if you would like... how exactly is a legislator supposed to answer that kind of retard, without calling him a retard?

Loud and stupid is a dangerous combination. Hence the fuzz.

LOL. Anonypussy is in complete meltdown.

Anon 9:34pm

Typical liberal uneducated classless response. Making fun of the protestors.

The reason these people are getting angry is because the elitists holding the tall hall meetings are arrogant government pricks who really think all of us are stupid outside of the WDC, NY and LA bubble. Their disdain is obvious and telling when they hold these meetings. THAT is what people are pissed about!

People in that crowd are people like my mother and father, grandpa and grandma, proud people who love this country and are frustrated that our government wants to ration healthcare for seniors.

You know, I guess I’d have more respect for these weasels if they would just say die already Grandpa!

If you wanna make fun of someone, how about the fat greasy Mexicans waving the Mexican flag in California demanding their rights to stay here, despite the fact that they’re lawbreakers and illegally entered our country. And not to mention their brood of 6 or so kids with another one in the oven. Overbreeding parasites!

Hell North Korea was going to give those 2 ladies 12 years hard labor just for allegedly crossing into their territory. We give the illegal’s freebies!

Here’s someone else to make fun of. The pasty over bloated whales in Southern California’s labor union who has always been a part of the government teat. Now they’re all whining and crying as they have to have furlough days. Tough! Cry me a river - join the rest of the country. Join the rest of us as we’ve had our incomes cut in half, our 401K’s have went through a shitstorm or if we have a business customer base dropping like flies.

Americans are pissed off and rightly so. We’ve been lied to by the administration past and present for many years. All the lies about the bailouts, the wars, ad nauseum. I don’t trust a damn thing the government says now. Nothing!

Uh oh. Remember that crap yesterday from Comrade Andy about a memo urging Americans to harass Dems at town hall meetings? Apparently, there is reason to believe ThinkCommunism ... er ... ThinkProgress may have Rathered that puppy. Color me astonished. We really need to get a better class of Reds in this country.

LOL. Anonypussy is in complete meltdown.

Yep. First the Tea Parties, now the town hall meetings. We've clearly hit a nerve. The Reds are running scared. Their railing against "increased shouting volume as a substitute for understanding," given the Reds' history at demonstrations, shows how desperate they truly are. They were so close to imposing socialism, and now it's all slipping, slipping away...

We're just too stupid to follow our betters to that socialist utopia enjoyed by Cuba and North Korea. God, we're such fools. Please tell us masses what to do, comrades.

People who are NOT that stupid are trying to help the stupids. and the stupids resent them for it.

Anonymous, you just don't get it. It's not your place to decide what's best for other people. It's for each individual to make decisions for himself. Whether you think socialized medicine is good for others or not is irrelevant. It's their decision, not yours. Don't try to "help" anyone, except yourself; others don't want or need your help. It is just possible that you're full of crap, and that others know what's best for themselves. But even if they're wrong, it's their call to make, not yours. It's called "freedom."

Posted by: Jay Guevara at August 6, 2009 10:53 AM

all are free to be as ignorant as they like (and clearly exercise that right, and often...) but get out of the way when the smart people are doing 'smart people things'. WE ARE ALSO FREE to improve our lives, just as you are free to build a bridge to the 12th century, and sit in a cave trying to decide wherther or not rocks are edible. The problem is that the conservative 'anchor' movement is determined to remove everyone else's freedom to PROGRESS; they fear change and anything they do not understand. and as I am discussing... there is a LOT that they do not understand.

See how that is infringing on MY freedom to put to use all of that 'librul book-learnin' that I have bothered to gain? knuckle-dragging people who say out loud "keep the government out of my Medicare" do NOT get to be a part of the discussion when the gorwn-ups are talking.

From that notoriously right-wing ABC news.

There were no lobbyist-funded buses in the parking lot of Mardela Middle and High School on Tuesday evening, and the hundreds of Eastern Maryland residents who packed the school’s auditorium loudly refuted the notion that their anger over the Democrats’ health care reform plans is “manufactured.”

“I went to school in this school,” a man named Bob told me. “I don't see anyone in this room that isn't from Mardela Springs right now.”

“We’ve been quiet too long,” said a woman named Joan.

VtK - are you contending that those statements are NOT ingorant?

No, I am contending that you are. Because despite the examples of the Soviet Union, Cuba, and Detroit, you still believe that socialism works.

And you're too much of little pussie to even sign your ignorant yawps.

Meanwhile, back at the collective farm, TPM on behalf of the CPUSA issues marching orders to the revolutionary cadre: HCAN Playbook For Thwarting Town Hall Protestors

My personal favorite is point g) on page 4: "Collect signs and leaflets that are not provided by your organization...make a blanket rule that no one can bring signs or leaflets...[then]...distribute your own signs in the event. Classic communist tactic.

Jay, I popped over to your link. A lot of their advice/strategy assumes that they have vast majorities who want socialized medicine. I think their strategies will fail. Why didn't we see a full onslaught of counter-teaparties?

One question these people want some geezer to stand up and ask: "I'm retired and I can't afford my prescriptions on a fixed income. How will this bill help me, Representative?"

Answer: "You won't need that prescription anymore, Gramps."

Jim Geraghty Confronts the 'End-of-Life' Counseling Myth.

The decision of when you stop draining valuable and limited government resources and accept your demise is an intensely personal decision, between you, your doctor, and the yet-to-be-appointed members of the medical review board.
Don't let these crowds of nervous seniors confuse you; they're probably confused themselves. Government programs never have unintended consequences, and federal programs never expand and grow beyond their original purpose and mandate.

What's in a name? as if V the K is your actual moniker? stunningly irrelevant. like your arguments... i sense a pattern. huh.

and what the deuce are you talking about? an old guy who does not know that his Medicare IS public is a fool. do you really not process that there are degrees of public involvement in society, and we as a society have an obligation to improve it? and are you similarly unaware that for that old guy to be that confused and scared is AWFUL? why are you (conservatives) not trying to educate your ship of fools instead of terrifying them?

One final time before I go back to discussing with sane people: Just because YOU do not understand these things, that does NOT mean that NOBODY understands them. stop living in fear of everything in the world and embrace the fact that society evolves, and even the flat-earth society will benefit with it.

(OK 1 more point that I want to make: what is YOUR plan? it appears to be to ignore healthcare reform until it explodes in a ball of doom, just like the financial crash of right this instant? Dont you, for once in history, want to PREVENT catastrophe instead of instigating it?)

Whatver. I believe I have learned enough about how the other team thinks. Back to sanity...

UMass is a disgrace. I hate to think how many of my tax dollars go to support that left-wing training ground.

Of course, if there's any doubt how the campus police handle such things, take a look at this video.

My last kid is in school now, and will be attending a private high school, if I have to print my own money to send her. Fifteen minutes after her graduation, we'll be on a plane outta this looney bin state. What a history here - Ted Kennedy, Joe Kennedy, Patches Kennedy (son of Ted), homosexual marriage, never ending tax increases, and now Gov. "Cadillac" Duval Patrick, a good buddy of Chairman Zero.

The back room - big money organizer behind the town hall tar and featherings HAS BEEN UNCOVERED !!

Posted by: Katya Kakhov at August 6, 2009 1:51 PM

what is YOUR plan?

This must be about the tenth time I've explained this, but moonbats are thick in the head, so I'll explain it again.

The market tells us that if something costs too much, its because there is too little supply and too much demand. Therefore, if more health care is made available, cost comes down. Therefore, the solution is policies that increase the supply of health care (the precise opposite of what ObamaCare does).

To increase the supply, insurance companies should have fewer mandates, more competition, and consumers need to tailor the policies to their own needs. Tort reform is absolutely essential, because the high cost of malpractice suits discourages people from entering the medical field. Malpractice awards need to be capped and socialized, and made harder for ambulance-chasers like John Edwards to win by using junk science on gullible, ignorant juries.

Government can further encourage putting people into the medical profession by offering complete reimbursement of medical school tuition to any doctor who practices in an disadvantaged area for eight years, any nurse that serves for five.

If there is a role for government, it is in the provision of catastrophic care and treatment of conditions that disqualify people from insurance coverage. This can be accomplished by Medicaid expansion, with higher taxes, outside audits, and vigorous prosecution of fraud.

In any case, 10-14 million legitmately uninsured is a marginal problem in a nation of 300 million, and does not require the complete destruction of the existing system.

But since my solution is based on principles of economics of which the anonymous dimwit is completely ignorant, I hope my ideas are of value to those who can actually think; as opposed to regurgitating Astroturf talking points.

Posted by: V the K at August 6, 2009 2:03 PM

Additionally, competition is always a good thing, even among insurance providers. However, competition is slowed down dramatically by the need for one year contracts, but this just slows things down vs shopping around for the cheapest gas or bread or whatever today. The rules for competition still apply, and insurance companies that don't perform won't win.

Who died and left you in charge of who's stupid and who's not? Speaking of stupid – please learn how to use capital letters when appropriate. I’ve highlighted the places where you need to capitalize – “stupid”!

It there such a word as stupids?

None of the protesters I saw were stupid. I saw quite a few bright intelligent patriot Americans.

Anon – folks like you will never change your mind. Liberalism is a disease and liberals are in denial and hypocritical at best.

All these asswipes in Washington DC think they’re better than everyone else. Too good to hold town meetings and when we disagree with them (like you) use hateful mean spirited comments to dumb down the debate.

A discussion with "Anonymous" the communist coward

These people are incredibly stupid!

Feel free to PROVE that! Do you know their IQ, SAT scores, or their education leval? Oopp's looks like you just showed us how much of an uneducated bigot your are...

disdain is the correct emotion when someone on medicare whines about public healthcare.

Can you also PROVE this person is on Medicare? Gee for someone claiming to be so enlightened you've already been PROVEN to be ignorant twice!!

anyone who does not know WHY that is an incredibly stupid statement should head out to the garage right now and make sure you get your whole head in front of the shotgun....

Oh I see now, since YOU CANT back up your assumptions, and idiotic claims your "solution" is that the people who are more inteligent than you should die? Why do you communists ALWAYS want everyone to die?

People who are NOT that stupid are trying to help the stupids.

Well considering you have shown TWICE already how little you know AND you have some serious issues about killing people you don't agree with It's pretty aparent YOU are the "stupid one" here.

the stupids resent them for it.

We don't resent you for being a communist moron, if you had the ability to be educated we might do more than just poke fun of your demonstrated ignorance.

are you contending that those statements are NOT ingorant?

Until you can PROVE how much you know about the people in question and substantiate the accusations with evidence the ONLY obvious contention is exactly how dumb you really are.

do you, right this moment, know WHY that statement is factually inaccurate and makes the person who says them out loud an ignorant person?

Why yes, I do know. The real question is DO YOU? You don't have ANY evidence to back up your claims. You for some strange reason actually believe that make you smart but it just highlights your ignorance. So It's really nice that YOU are admitting how ignorant you really are for us.... THANKS MORON... but we knew it before you did.

OH LOOK...My newest ball of self admitted idiot communist string asks to be taught!!

we can have a class right now, if you would care to...

I actually would... YOUR'RE an uneducated communist idiot who has already been proven to know NOTHING and have absolutely no proof to back up your claims.... CLASS DISMISSED!!

all are free to be as ignorant as they like (and clearly exercise that right, and often...)

Well, so far YOU have certainly proven how often YOU "clearly exercise ignorance" to us!

get out of the way when the smart people are doing 'smart people things'.

If this is true then WHY are you still attempting to sound inteligent? WE ARE doing "smart people things" so by all means get out of the way !

WE ARE ALSO FREE to improve our lives, just as you are free to build a bridge to the 12th century, and sit in a cave trying to decide wherther or not rocks are edible.

I hate to break this to you super clueless one, YOU are the group of fools trying to OUTLAW inovation, exploration, expansion, and wealth creation. As little inteligence as you have thusfar demonstrated I can see why YOU are still chewing on rocks in your cave with the rest of the tree hugging idiots.

The problem is that the conservative 'anchor' movement is determined to remove everyone else's freedom to PROGRESS; they fear change and anything they do not understand.

Why don't you just go "PROGRESS" in Cuba or some other socialist utopia then? If you knew anything ABOUT progress you would apreciate it. It's really too bad your so stupid and have NO idea what actually MOVES a nation forward. It sure isn't the government moron!!

as I am discussing... there is a LOT that they do not understand.

Well you definately have figured out how little communists like you actually know, THAT'S for sure! I'm actually starting to wonder if you can even read since most of what you have written is such utter nonsense.

See how that is infringing on MY freedom to put to use all of that 'librul book-learnin' that I have bothered to gain?

It's nice to know that you are so willing to point out the source of your ignorance. WE already knew that also so it's not really much of a suprise that you would opt for the "southern" style insult in linguistics. Nice try though, if you were not so dumb it might have been funny.

knuckle-dragging people who say out loud "keep the government out of my Medicare" do NOT get to be a part of the discussion when the gorwn-ups are talking.

Actually he stated "keep the government out of my healthcare" but you probably have a severe learning disability as well as a very low intelect.

I would suggest that a retarded communist sympathiser like you:

do NOT get to be a part of the discussion

Obviously because:

the gorwn-ups are talking.

which is actually pretty funny because you really don't know anything due to all that:

'librul book-learnin'

Go on back out to the playground with the other children moron... Mommy's a little busy right now.
