John Dingell Explains Why ObamaCare Doesn't Include Tort Reform
The Dems would rein in the insane excesses of ambulance-chasing vampires like John Edwards — a major factor in rising healthcare costs — except they just don't have the time, as antediluvian Congresscommie John Dingell (D-MI) explains:
It looks like the folks aren't buying Dingleberry's explanation. The real reason there will be no tort reform is that Democrats are the party of parasites, bought and paid for by trial lawyers.
Dingleberry played off this embarrassing scene by telling his allies in the media that the town hall meeting had been infiltrated by opponents — i.e., citizens who disagree with the policies he's been ramming down their throats. This creature has been around long enough to have witnessed the drafting of the Declaration of Independence, yet the concept of a government that derives its powers from the consent of the governed is beyond his comprehension.

Question – Who was the first liberal Democrat?
Answer - Christopher Columbus. He left not knowing where he was going, got there not knowing where he was, left there not knowing where he’d been and did it all on borrowed money.

Here is the "thought process" employed by the esteamed non-rep John Dingleberry: No leftist program can be considered a failure as long as the funding can be increased. If the government collapses under the debt load of increased funding, then the program will be considered the ultimate success vis-à-vis the Cloward-Piven Strategy.

I noticed that the guy they hustled out was wearing a BERRET like some half-baked "revolutionary".
Off-topic, but I object to our solders wearing berrets; especially since some whiners demanded it so that they could look like "elite" troops. Now that everybody wears them, it's NOTHING SPECIAL. Also, it looks quite unmilitary.
And if somebody brings up the Green Berrets, I'll have you know that my SISTER once wore a green berret as part of HER uniform! (She was a Girl Scout) The only people who "looked military" in a berret were the WASPs, WAFs and Navy Nurses. Guys in berrets look like bored Europeans.

Certainly can tell who matters most to Congress. They merely tolerate the people with lip service. But if it is the trial lawyers lobby then they assume the position.

Regarding Tort reform; When you really look at it, tort reform is socialism in it purist form.
Don't get me wrong, I am in favor of SOME sort of tort reform, maybe capitation of awards or limits on suit types or ???
The way tort reform is usually looked at is government eith controlling or stopping tort action all together.
On a humorous side:
If tort Reform were passed and government allowed to stop or contol the suits, John "slimeball" Edwrds would have to get a real job.

American popular belief in rugged individualism admits to few reasons for collective action other than war and natural disaster. Absent war or calamity, Americans seldom are unable to pull together as a people.
Unfortunately, a great many problems facing the U.S. in the 21st century are collective -- even global -- in nature. Chances are they will remain unsolved without a crisis big enough to put every oar in the water; and by then it may well be too late.
