Chappaquiddick Ted Deification Sinks
Even as statists in the government and media have tried to capitalize on the demise of their favorite Senator, Red Ted's ascension seems to have gone off the bridge.
Wall to wall hagiographies on every news channel but Fox helped keep FNC on top in ratings:
Fox News maintained its top ranking among the cable news channels Wednesday as its competitors turned most of their coverage over to the death of Sen. Edward Kennedy. The event didn't prove to be a major draw for viewers, however. Fox, which covered the story in a more limited fashion, drew an average of 1.37 million viewers throughout the entire day and 2.67 million viewers during prime time, according to Nielsen Media Research.
CNN, which usually dominates during major breaking news events, averaged 711,000 viewers overall and 1.19 million viewers in prime time. MSNBC pulled in 506,000 viewers throughout the day and 984,000 in prime time.
In the key 25- to 54-year-old advertising demographic, Fox had double the audience of its competitors in prime time, averaging 736,000 viewers.
Maybe word hasn't penetrated to our governmedia rulers inside their bubble of liberal propaganda that normal people don't have a very high opinion of Chappaquiddick Ted — although even CNN's polling has found that despite all the hype and glorification, barely half the population has a favorable opinion of him.
Among those who follow politics enough to have a strong opinion, Dead Ted's approval rests at the bottom of a lake — as demonstrated by ABC New's backfired attempt to get readers to contribute to its hagiography, and a similar debacle at the Detroit News:

Currently on top of the overwhelmingly less than worshipful comments at the Detroit News:

Meanwhile, Dem attempts to shove ObamaCare through by rebranding it as KennedyCare are sinking like a 1967 Oldsmobile Delmont 88:
Despite the hopes of health care reform partisans, there was little sign on Thursday that the death of liberal champion Sen. Edward M. Kennedy would break the congressional logjam and produce quick agreement on the troubled bill. …there were no signs of a shift among skeptical Democrats on an issue Mr. Kennedy called the "cause of my life."
But even if exploiting Kennedy's death hasn't worked so far, brace yourselves for a funeral that may make Paul Wellstone's tasteful by comparison.

Ted Kennedy loved to joke about Chappaquiddick. Lots of remorse there, don't you think?

And, Rush reported today that the ratings for the cable channels showing wall-to-wall Kennedy has just sunk into oblivion. Nobody wants to watch that crap.
Fox, at 7:00 tonite, is showing their own tribute. I'm not going to watch that, I think I'll watch the Beck show that I will have DVR'd. It's supposed to be real good.
I'm having tooooooo much fun with these online thingies.

"Despite the hopes of health care reform partisans, there was little sign on Thursday that the death of liberal champion Sen. Edward M. Kennedy would break the congressional logjam"
Rebranding to Kennedycare is a bad plan. Outside the "liberal bubble" of the Northeast, Kennedy is despised. I can't take my cars to Texas with the Mass plates on them without getting "GO HOME!" keyed into the hood or trunk.....
