Cash for Clunkers Finally Defunct
Paying people to sabotage their own cars so they qualify as clunkers was clever, but here's an even better idea: the government should cut our taxes and mind its own business rather than trying to micromanage the economy. That would mean less power for petty tyrant bureaucrats, but it would also mean higher revenues, as Ronaldus Maximus proved, because it would allow the economy to recover.
Instead, Big Government will now start paying us with our own money to buy refrigerators.
On tips from lauren and Bill.

Thank you for "Cash for Clunkers"! Although, I'm not so sure I ever understood what the goal of that dog and pony show was.
What a great example of an Obama scheme which was poorly conceived with the unitended consequence of high import sales and other sector retail imbalance. A program which was under budget at $1 billion dollars, so it was up to congress to fund an additional $2 billion, a 150% increase in spending within a mere month. This program was wrought with incompetence leaving many auto dealers holding the bag.
Cash for Clunkers gave America a taste of what we can expect from Washington and the Obamunists when they take over Health Care.
So I say THANKS AGAIN! Your Obamunist program had the unitended consequence of showing the American people just what kind of incompetent, egocentric, bureaucratic suck butts you are.

Isn't it odd that the ONLY way I could have gotten my tax money back was IF I bought a new car? BOTH my current cars are paid off.
Why on earth in this market would I take on more finacial risk when the current climate is so unstable?
It's even worse that someone else got money to buy something from a foreign country which had little effect on the BILLION dollar "invesment" I was FORCED to make in a US company.
So by forcing me to invest in an American company, which is unable to compete with a foreign company, who will be the benificiary of the money, that I was forced to give to someone else, so they could buy a product they can't afford, in an unstable finacial market is.....
What?
Ahh.... liberalism
OR... more aptly called unparalelled idiocy!!

Spurwing Plover: I doubt if those two old fossils have much trade-in value. Perhaps their Kool-aid could be spiked with the engine-destroying sodium-silicate chemical.
A toast to Chap-Aquitted Ted.
Bye-Bye Byrdie!
Cheers!

I wish I had a new car. This is uneven distribution of favors.
