ACORN and KAOS theres very little difference between these villians

Anyone who doubts ACORN's extreme corruption is either completely ignorant or is willing to white-wash anything that fits the progressive ideology. In my ultra-liberal hometown, I've seen ACORN signs directing people to their meetings. I'd love to know what goes on there, and I've thought it would be very interesting and worthwhile to infiltrate a radical leftist organization and expose the corruption.

So many of my leftist friends somehow believe that Obama is the cleanest, purest politician to ever grace our nation, even though he was fabricated by the most corrupt political machine in America. Anyone who thinks that Obama came out of Chicago squeaky clean is delusional. I guess if the atheistic, fatalistic progressive left can have a messiah, they can also believe in their own version of lefty miracles. If Obama came out of Chicago uncorrupted and ACORN is really interested in 'social justice', that would probably qualify as a genuine miracle.

lvb, you have leftist friends? I wouldn't be able to stand them long enough to call them friends. I had a new friend once who, upon learning I was a conservative, started screeching at the top of her lungs, so upset. That was that for the budding friendship.

It’s important to keep in mind some random but relevant facts regarding ACORN:

ACORN was co-founded by Wade Rathke in 1970, as was the SEIU later. Wade Rathke was a member of the SDS (Students for a Democratic Society) back then and he was a friend of fellow SDS terrorist Bill Ayers. Rathke and Ayers have been friends for ‘life’.

Around 1990 Obama started “Public Allies” in Chicago, a group of young mostly black organizer-trainees whom he tutored and which at the time was called the ‘Obama Youth’. It was inherited a year later by Michelle. This group was involved later in Obama’s Project Vote and they formed the nucleus of the next generation of ACORN leaders. They know and owe Obama.

Obama and Ayers sat together on the tiny boards of the Joyce Foundation and Woods Fund in Chicago (as well as the Annenberg Foundation) and (side-by-side) made concerted decisions to allocate hundreds of thousands of dollars to ACORN. ACORN was still being run by Ayer’s buddy Rathke at that time. Obama says he didn’t really know Ayers then, but oddly he sat on another Fund at the same time (The Leadership Council) with Bill Ayer’s brother and Ayer’s father.

During this time Michelle ran Mayor Daley’s office in Chicago. Shortly after she departed, Bill Ayers was named “Chicago Citizen of the Year”, due in part to his (and Obama’s) ability to procure the hundreds of thousands of dollars from generous public entities which were later handed out to Ayer’s pet school projects. This money filtered into the Chicago School system which has become the least effective and most violent in the nation.

Obama was elected in part through the monumental efforts of the ACORN machine, and in part by the strenuous backing and contributions of the SEIU, not to mention other unions. His administration is rife with old SDS personnel, and those who are not involved directly have formed major splinter groups of support (MDS-Movement for a Democratic Society, PFO-Progressives for Obama to name two).

I would surmise ACORN today is made up of 90% of well-intentioned, good, conscionable folks. But it has been taken over by corrupt politicians and old Chicago community organizers, and it has been infiltrated by dishonest street hustlers and Black Panther thugs. On top of that, it is being protected by the likes of Barney Frank and seems to be immune to any legal scrutiny thanks to Eric Holder.

ACORN was one of the largest contributors to Barack Obama’s presidential campaign and has received billions of dollars in stimulus money. They have been chosen by this administration to have a leading role in the 2012 census. That’s the Census Bureau which used to be a part of the Department of Interior, but which has been ‘relocated’ into the White House under the control of Rahm Emanuel and his boss Obama.

Obama and ACORN…..together again.

How the hell do you redistribute the "wealth" when you have just cratered the economy to start the change to "social justice"????????

These idiots must believe that wealth just magically appears (i.e., cargo cult).

If it appears magically then their idea that some have more has validity as unfair. The rich must have stolen someone else's share.

Came upon this website looking for intelligent discourse...what was I thinking? Just another bunch hate-spewing ideological wing-nuts. I'm seeking thoughtful debate, not enemies. I'm not looking for a sick little bubble with only people who will be my echo chamber. Can't have liberal friends? Pathetic and sad. I'll move on.
