There was a picture as the three left the East Wing in which Obama led the way, Crowley was next and the "elderly gentleman" was descending the steps. Crowley appears to turn and take his arm to steady him or at least be prepared in case the older fellow took a header. Speaks volumes and there is no doubt who has the character and integrity in this situation. HINT: neither the leader or the follower.

Little did we know when Barack Obama promised change we could believe in that the changes he envisioned would lead to fewer senior citizens, more freedom for convicted terrorists, Black Panthers protecting voters, and vehicular Nirvana.

Government Speak: Some cynics believe governments regularly either lie to the citizenry or so shade the truth that we have no idea what the hell they’re talking about. Then the hoi polloi usually give up trying to understand what the hell they’re talking about. Mission accomplished.

With the present administration, most thinking people have arrived at the conclusion that virtually everything spouted by the Obamanians has as much relevance to actual truth as calling cops stupid.

Such is the case with “health care reform,” which is Orwellian in an of itself but now they’ve thrown in a sweetener– or sour-er, depending on your point of view.

When we age, as lucky people do, Americans tend to need more medical care, and more medical-specialist care, care for which we pay insurers for years when we’re younger and most of us rarely use. Obama’s med scheme is proposing a great leap forward to deal with the older folk.

Rather than elders cluttering up hospitals and nursing homes or falling dead on the streets, they’ll be shipped off to warehouses where the order of the day will be that verbotten word, rationing.

Oh, they won’t call them warehouses and they certainly won’t call it rationing. Such nomenclature would be far too close to the truth. They’re calling the warehouses ”medical homes” for the elderly and disabled and rationing health care will more properly be termed cancelling health care.

The medicine will be government-allotted, or denied, in these warehouses medical homes and there won’t be a doctor in sight. As for medical specialists, don’t be absurd! (http://bit.ly/46SlUL)

Nurses and physician assistants will be on hand, however, most of whom probably flunked out of nursing or P.A. schools but that doesn’t matter. Their principal duty will be tying those toe tags on bodies.

Complementing the warehouse scheme, seniors are not included on the priority list for swine flu innoculations, which will save even more money by necessitating fewer warehouses when they bite the dust next flu season.

I have a far more effective plan: When someone hits 70 or so or breaks a hip or suffers dementia, why not have a government functionary take us out in a field or a Jersey swamp and shoot us?

Socialized medicine is the death knell to our way of life. It will punish and restrict medical care for the elderly and it will dumb down our way of life. The logical solution would be for most Americans to buy catastrophic care and pay cash for everything else. That's how it used to always be.

As far as giving back, I’m one who gives back nightly. Do you wanna know what I do every night? And yes I really do do this. I go to about a dozen stores that would normally throw their perfectly good food and sundries away. I give that food to the food banks and the non-food items to battered women’s shelters or other women living in the poverty zone. So spare me your rantings and bullshit that we’re all a bunch of evil conservatives.

Why do you people always get so irate when I have a different opinion. Public schools have dumbed down the general populice so much that history has become a blur. Stalin, Hitler, Chairman Mao, Pol Pot, Mussolini, The Ayatollah Khomeini etc. etc. etc. were very good people and they have been demonized by our 2nd rate history professors.
If I could I would invite them over to stay in your home just to prove they were good people. I would invite them to my place but my mom doesn't approve of sleep overs and i'm on the rag. It’s a challenge keeping up with continuing developments in the news and new outlooks on that news but to ignore them would be to ignore the ramifications and new perspectives that come to light. Therefore a few updates on previous articles.

Her dad blamed his child, disowned her for bringing shame on the family, and condoned the actions of the other cherubs since it was just a cultural thing.

The shame should have been visited on the father for his failure to comfort his daughter and salve her emotional and physical wounds. Her mom didn’t utter a public word.

In a very incisive piece on Pajamasmedia.com, http://bit.ly/1otSf, the author brings out a significant point about that horrific event, a perspective that all Americans should be aware of and should digest and deeply consider before the next election.

As the son of a legal, Irish immigrant, it would be grossly hypocritical to take a stand against all immigration. Nevertheless, I feel free to speak out against some immigration, particularly when the new arrivals hold beliefs that not only are antithetical to established American values and principles but radically different.

Such is the case of many people who have come to our shores from the Third World. And, it’s not a question of color, something that must be stipulated nowadays to forestall the usual charges of racism. It’s a question of those values which are vastly different from American traditions.

Phillis Schesler makes a very salient point about that whole rape situation, not directly in respect to our immigration policies, disagreement with which would be deemed racist if honestly explicated, but to the history and values of many Third Worlders.

As she writes, they ”bring both their barbarism and their traumatized histories right along with them when they come to America.”

To think that even after a few generations that Third World immigrants could adapt to such beliefs that the rape of a child can be condoned in any way, after centuries of adherence to African–and Islamic–beliefs, is patently ridiculous.

It’s only a matter of time until those new arrivals expand their horizons to include white 8 year olds as their objects of affections.

You provide goods and/or services to others and they compensate you in a way that alows you to cover expenses and put aside some extra for emergencies, expanding your operation, to care for your family and provide for your old age. That's how capitalism works.

Seriously though, capitalism tells us that if health care costs too much, it's a supply-and-demand problem. The way to make it cost less is to increase the supply; more doctors, more nurses, more clinics, more hospitals.

This could be accomplished by capping malpractice suits, as Texas has done with great success. By creating incentives for people to enter the medical profession, and by decreasing regulations that restrict both entry into the field of health care insurance and competition among entities; such as by ending mandates on policies that force people to pay for things like fertility services that some will never need.

ObamaCare does exactly the opposite; it expands the ability of the trial lawyers bar to file suits (as one would expect), it piles more regulations and mandates on insurers, and places further limitations and burdens on doctors and nurses, discouraging people from entering the field.

And only a dimwitted cultist like Kyle could believe that Obama is going to pull a "loaves and fishes" miracle by vastly expanding the government's role in health care *and* lowering costs.

Profit is not just money. It is a moral concept that liberals just cannot understand.

If you have something that costs you $10 to make, and you can only sell it for $10, then you have not added any value to your customers or to the planet, and you therefore get no profit. But if you can figure out something to do to the thing to get people to pay $15 for it, then you make a $5 profit. The $5 represents your contribution - you adding on to the value of the thing, increasing the value of the planet so to speak.

That is what liberals cannot grasp. They think of the $5 as $5 taken from someone else. If that's the way the world really worked, we would still be living in caves, hunting game and wrapping ourselves in animal skins. If human productivity were really a zero-sum game there would be nothing new since we split off from Australopithicenes. Every single thing that's been produced by mankind since emerging from caves was done for, and is directly represented by, profit.

Without profits, there is no incentive to do anything, ever. They are absolutely needed for us to continue and improve as a civilization.

Like I read somewhere (forget where exactly) but if you take profits out of the game, you are explicitly promoting de-development. Isn't that, by simple definition, a step back?... and you want to apply that concept to civilization!? I think there is no help for some of these people.

And of course healthcare costs are rising... quality is continuously improving. Plus, with unemployment, many lose their current health care insurance. Now, when those who lack insurance have to seek medical care (plus the constant influx of illegals abusing the system), the hospital has to bite the bullet, increasing costs AGAIN, because there is no insurance company to "subsidize" the cost.

Taxing manufacturers and businesses artificially inflates the cost of the product (passed onto the consumer).

Health care is a right, but the problem is the cost of it and the insurance premiums. Health care cost can be fixed just by controlling these greedy fuck head lawyers that infest congress. as far as health insurance it's not a right if that is what you are implying. You don't need health insurance to receive health care in this country. It does help with the expense but if you walk into any hospital in this country with chest pain they will treat you and send you a bill which you will have to work out with them.

Since when did health care become a "right", anyway?

Why isn't a cell or a laptop a "right" too? Both are basically required to be part of modern society.

So is a college education. And for that matter, if you want to be a lawyer, wouldn't you have a right to a graduate school education?

So is clothing - you have to have clothes to have access to any opportunities. You can't just go out naked. Clothing is a human right.

So is food. Food would have to be even more of a right than health care.

As is shelter. Shelter would have to be a right, too. You have a right to a house.

As would transportation. A car is a right. How are you supposed to get to work?

Toilet paper would have to be a right. In a society as rich as ours, it would be unconscionable to not provide such a basic tool of sanitation and disease avoidance. Soap, towels, and a loofa would also be rights. As would the shower/bath enclosure. You cannot have a rich country like ours and deny people their right to be clean.

In fact, what wouldn't be a "right", once rights are just things that everyone is entitled to if they live in a well-off place?

Do I have a right to not have to expend my savings to provide things for people who haven't earned them? Or is saving my own money and keeping it not a right?

The founders had it right. Life. Liberty. Pursuit of Happiness. These are things you are born with, not something the government hands you. The latter are not "rights", just hand outs.

While pregnant with Tim, Mrs. Tebow contracted a life-threatening infection and was pressured by her doctors to have an abortion. She refused and both she and her son are alive and well today.

Tim tossed another bombshell at the press conference when he said, “There has been a lot of people that have been encouraged not to have an abortion because they heard the story of my mom, or they have been encouraged because they have heard me give my faith on TV or in a report.”

As I said, Tim Tebow is unique.

On the other side of the AFTAH coin are less wholesome stories and reports on recent activities in the gay world, which world is intruding more and more on the normal world. Cases in point:

Awww, I see you guys missed me. For years, health care reform has been debated. The "general welfare" was used in the manner that still applies today. Our Government has the ability to step in and protect the citizens. Nearly 18,000 people die a year from preventable illness because they could not get care, that is 6 times the amount that we lost on 9/11. For all your outrage then, you seem not to care for those without insurance or the under insured. Protecting our citizens is the business of our Government. It is our right to have access to care without the dangers of bankruptcy because of the costs. If someone is unable to pay a $7,000 bill at the hospital, your rates go up. Some premiums are going up as we discuss this. You also worry about the cost, but did not worry about the costs of war. The monies spent in Iraq and Afghanistan could already pay for health care. I saw someone mentioned Chris Dodd earlier, we pay for his health care, but you don't him paying for ours? Gimme a break.

Stephanie Miller is a Leftwing talk radio personality whom VH did a short piece on some while back and that is what Kyle referred to. She never posted here. Many times when VH posts something it seems to get immediate attention from the Left and a hit man such as Ghost of Wellstone or some other person gets the word and posts on the article. Ghost of Wellstone, or Kyle Klebba, is one of the very few that keeps on coming back.

She is a "personal friend" though, isn't she Kyle? As are other Lefty friends listed on your facebook. You're up there Kyle, getting the word on what is the Party Line and what to say.
