A Salute to Mrs. Sarah Palin, Former Governor of Alaska

Today, Mrs. Sarah Palin officially resigned the governorship of the great state of Alaska.

Acting midway through her first term, she had already been reviled as a quitter and ridiculed as a loser by the same leftist terrorists who castigated her during the presidential campaign. Then as now she emerged as one classy lady.

In a sense, she was harrassed out of office, by the perpetrators of unfounded, baseless charges and lawsuits which she knew were costing Alaska millions although the ever-snide David Letterboy and others of his ilk will intentionally and tastelessy continue to misrepresent her motives.

It matters not why she resigned, whether wholly for that reason or to write a book or to establish herself as a viable candidate for the Republican nomination for president in 2012. I hope all three.

She leaves office having made Alaska a better place for its citizens. She also leaves with a great dignity, a quality foreign to the liberal ignoramuses who chose to attack the first woman to run for the vice-presidency on the Republican ticket.

The liberal establishment has had a gut fear of Sarah Palin from the first day she entered the national scene, and with good reason. She represents everything they hate and so they set out to destroy her.

Had she been ugly and liberal, the liberal feminists would have adopted her as one of their own. Instead, she was and is a beautiful conservative.

Had she been a proponent of the sacred liberal sacrament of abortion, the feminazis would still have loved her. Instead, she was and is ardently pro-life which she graphically demonstrated by giving birth to her fifth child, Trig Paxson, despite the baby’s pre-natal diagnosis of Down Syndrome.

Had she been an irreligious harridan, the left would have revered her. Instead, she was a deeply devout Christian who wasn’t afraid of proudly advertising her Christianity, something the left both feared and despised.

Had she been a merry divorcee’ with her allotted 1.5 children, feminists would have admired her. Instead she’s very happily married and a loving mother to her brood.

Sarah Louise Heath Palin, self-described hockey mom and pitbull with lipstick, the eleventh and youngest and first woman governor of Alaska, can’t and won’t just fade away like an old soldier.

She is a cherished and invaluable asset to America whose charm and intelligence just may overcome the liberal, leftist snipers and distortionists to become the first woman president and the first conservative president since Ronald Reagan in 3 1/2 years.

I salute Sarah Palin for giving hope to America and for promising our future shining light on a hill. May God bless her and keep her safe.

Nice post Berlet98.

What gripes me is how the RNC sat on their hands without lifting a finger to help Palin.
It seems that they could have put a bunch of attorneys in there to help field these suits pro bono or hire attorneys to block the suits against her.

I suspect that we won't see her running for office in the near future and that could be a good thing if she came back out maybe 10 years from now.
In the meantime: Lynn Cheney.

Overall liberals pulled off quite a victory here. I'm sure they're proud of themselves.

Now that Palin is unattached....the MSM better round up their lawyers.. or start reporting the real facts. Sarah can become very wealthy in a short time.

In the latest installment in The Waterloo chronicles:

Senate Democrat says Republican votes needed for healthcare bill;

CBO says key healthcare cost-saving measure will 'save' about $2 billion over 10 years while the bill itself will cost at least $1 trillion.

(On a side note: Obama really doesn't understand how the concept of 'saving' works, does he?)

That's sweet, a couple of you getting teared up over Sarah Palin. Her undoing was her own. She was more interested in being front of a camera than running Alaska. If she wants to sue the media, she can have at it. Maybe the "Department of Law" can help her out? That you guys are willingly putting this twit on a perch says alot about the GOP base. It says "Hi, we have no solutions and we are going to oppose every other plan".

Kyle: "That you guys are willingly putting this twit on a perch...."

oh, the irony in that statement.

But, did anybody see the 60 Minutes show today. I have not watched that in years but it was about why the firearms and ammo industry is doing so well. Apparently, they were going to reveal some "shocking" information. Seemed to be an attack on the NRA (FWI not a member). Should have known better than to watch...

That's sweet, a couple of you getting teared up over Sarah Palin. Her undoing was her own.

Really, she filed frivolous ethics complaints amounting to $500,000 in legal costs against herself to hamper her abilities in office?

That's an interesting theory.

I think you've got a couple of separate memes mixed up there. The 'Republicans have no solutions' one is supposed to be used for trolling about healthcare, not Sarah Palin.

As for being a 'twit,' well, let's see how the evidence stacks up:

--Sarah Palin's budget has a massive surplus allowing her to give out actual economic stimulus that works

--Sooper-genius law professor Barack Obama's sooper-awesome stimulus plan will plunge the U.S. into sooper-awesome unheard-of levels of debt without helping the economy at all over the long term.

But hey, at least Obama sounds good when reading off a teleprompter, which I guess is what's really important to his supporters since he damn sure can't do anything else properly.

A video has surfaced on YouTube of Harvard professor Henry Louis Gates Jr. delivering a church speech in which he uses the N-word, rails against "racist historically white institutions in America" and accuses Newt Gingrich of attempting to block blacks from entering the middle class.

Top Obamacare advisor support euthaniasia 'for social justice'

Yes, that's what patients want their doctors to do. But Emanuel wants doctors to look beyond the needs of their patients and consider social justice, such as whether the money could be better spent on somebody else.

Many doctors are horrified by this notion; they'll tell you that a doctor's job is to achieve social justice one patient at a time.

Emanuel, however, believes that "communitarianism" should guide decisions on who gets care. He says medical care should be reserved for the non-disabled, not given to those "who are irreversibly prevented from being or becoming participating citizens . . . An obvious example is not guaranteeing health services to patients with dementia" (Hastings Center Report, Nov.-Dec. '96).

That you guys are willingly putting this twit on a perch says alot about the GOP base. (sic)

Yes it does and yes she is kinda sweet. So What?
What's it say to you Kyle? Having a heterosexual panic looking at her pictures?
You'd rather she was in a burka?

C'mon be specific in your arboreal allusions.
That you guys are willingly putting this twit on a perch says alot about the GOP base.(sic)
Yeah well: 'That you guys are willing to put your racist-communist up on a branch says a lot about the Dimocrat base.'

Wouldn't it be nice in a fair, uncensored world to set documents of Palin's accomplishments down on a table next to BO's (the one's up in the small corner; you know, the authentic ones that could actually be extracted from his attorneys)?

Using that for a basis for a one-on-one debate, Palin would rip your commie apart even clinging to his teleprompter.

Posted by: Fiberal at July 27, 2009 5:55 AM

And BTW, about the time young Sarah Palin was on stage, competing in a state-wide beauty contest playing a not-bad piece on her flute (age-appropriate), ...BO was sucking coke down his nose.

I don't know how a better contrast between right-left America could be drawn.
