It is so surreal to see a pansy liberal elitist like Gates scream racism as he earns hundreds of thousands of dollars at Harvard. They give him a million dollar house and a Chauffeur ! How sad that men are jobless in this country or serving their country abroad in war and this 'specimen' Gates in tandem with Obama use the poor cop Crowley as a "teaching tool" to indoctrinate the masses about racial sensitivity. America is in deep trouble with a disgraceful racist at her helm.

I'm somewhat flabbergasted as to why or what the unhinged are trying to cheer about here. Is it that Obama stumbled or is it that a white cop succeeded in luring a black guy into his trap to offset his shortcomings and/or that he can flex his white muscle? In the end, you lunatics may very well validate Obama's point. It's like shooting fish in a barrel.

Andy, you're confused. We are not cheering about Gates or the cop. We are cheering the slow motion meltdown of Barack Obama, on three levels: the meltdown of political support for his socialist policies, the meltdown of his followers' morale, which is the first step toward getting back to Republican or at least divided government, and, of course, the meltdown of the pompous windbag charlatan Obama who ran as a reasonable centrist kind of dude but turned out to be a radical activist. It is very enjoyable, a moment truly to savor. It provides a bit of reprieve and counterbalance to the global apology tours and the relentness arrogance of him and his flock. Our glee has nothing to do with cops or racism. We are luxuriating in the bitter shock of the left that they are, actually, only nominally in charge and about to get totally hammered by an electorate that has had enough of this nonsense, possibly (though not certainly, just possibly) in time to prevent the Obamanaughts from destroying the United States. Hope that helps explain it.
Posted by: mega at July 25, 2009 4:55 PM
Yes, andy, that's exactly what happened. Three cops were sitting around a donut shop with nothing to do. And the white cop said, "I'm feeling my shortcomings and a need to flex my muscles."
The black cop said, "Why don't we go out and lure a brother out of his house so we can bust him on the porch?"
Then the Hispanic cop said, "Yeah, I bet the president would stumble right into that one!"
Yup, it was a conspiracy from the start.
Posted by: ~Paules at July 25, 2009 4:57 PM
Andy, maybe they are right. They are cheering a "slow motion meltdown" and a unlawful arrest by Cambridge law. They also cheered an unjust war. They more engulfed in tearing down Obama with a birth certificate and a college professor. Hell, Van Helsing and Jay are like the guys that took names in class when the teacher was absent. They are willing to call a valid legal birth certificate a fraud, but not call out a fraud and criminal activity of the last eight years...go figure.
Posted by: Kyle at July 25, 2009 5:20 PM
Paules, aside from your reinvention of my question, what exactly is it about this incident that intrigues you so?
JL, I haven't a clue as to what you're trying to say. Seriously. I also question if you do.
Mega, I understand your delight on Obama's shortcomings but I don't see the connection in a man ousted from his property because he insulted a cop. I agree that Obama stumped his toe with the "stupidity" comment but why on God's green earth are you guys attacking a guy for defending his privacy in his own home. It wasn't that long ago this site was advocating having an AK47 vrs a broom handle to defend against intruders. Oh but wait, that post had a white guy defending his castle didn't it?

Dave, so apparently having any understanding of black history in America is racist? Give me a break! Using some Joe Arpaio tactic on a Professor at Harvard, which violated Cambridge law is nonsense. The charges were dropped before the President made a bad comment, and you don't question why?
This shallow intellect I have given some of you was naive at best.

Andy, bottom line, whatever happened in Gates' house was probably not an act of perfect judgment on anyone's part, but was clearly, in my mind at least, the result of a hot-headed thin-skinned identity politics careerist goading an officer of the law until the situation turned nasty. But let's give Gates the benefit of the doubt and say that the whole thing should've played out differently. Let's even say everyone was equally wrong, though I don't believe that. The real nonsense came from Obama. He is president of the United States; he has a special responsibility to be judicious in his choice of words and speak for the American people; not aggrieved people, not blacks, not urban-plight types; not liberals. Americans. And he did not. Because he is not able to. The problem with Obama is that he has been parlaying race and racial politics into personal gains for so many years now that he can't even see the inexcusability of what he said. I guarantee you this, someone is going to die in some forsaken urban neighborhood because someone will get so worked up over this that fights will break out, police will be challenged, something bad will happen, and all that crap. Getting aggrieved people all worked up was a mistake, and one that will have costs. Obama is a professional leverager of racial division. That is who he is and what he does. That is why he was able to say "I don't have the facts" and "the police acted stupidly" in the same sentence. He doesn't see the contradiction. For his entire political life, it's been all able channeling peoples' emotions, getting people worked up, creating and then exploiting divisions. That is the true irony of Obama.
In sum, whatever emotional expressions you hear from the right, not that I speak for anyone but myself, dont' have much or anything to do with the incident in Boston. It's conservatives really despising the race-monger Obama and his lack of judgment and lack of interest in representing ALL the people of the United States. This week, Obama lost the cop vote, and probably the firemen vote and other blue collar vote too. That might just be enough, when the time comes to revisit if this is what people really want. That is why conservatives are so happy, regardless of what happened in Boston.

Why should I question the ramblings of a dipshit, Kyle?
Posted by: Dave at July 25, 2009 6:26 PM
mega, I think we actually agree on a few points. I mentioned on another Moonbattery thread that Obama stuck his foot in his mouth especially after his admission of being ignorant of the facts.
As a home owner, I can only say that my home is mine. Duh right? Well, in my home, one is either welcomed or they intrude. Intruders are subject to my 9mm. When Gates was identified, it doesn't matter if he was a "hot-headed thin-skinned identity politics careerist goading an officer". What mattered was that it was his home and the cop was an intruder. The cop should have left.
It's interesting that the emotions of the right are somehow supposedly connected to this issue. I'm not following that logic. Also, I wouldn't be banking on Obama losing police, firefighter, or blue collar workers over this. For 1, they've seemed to have made their peace. No? Another, they've come to understand the alternative.

If a black guy had broken into Gates' home and told the cops he lived there, would they be profiling him if they asked to see some ID?

Andy, putting aside the details of the case, I think the bigger-picture dynamic at work is that a lot of people are seeing that, far from being a new era of post-racial cooperation and understanding, we're actually in the first inning of a whole new era of racial tension and race baiting, driven this time by identity politics. The Gates incident is just a little ugly reminder that, no, we are not cool now, as the expression goes. This election didn't solve anything, especially racial issues; it's made them much, much worse. And Obama's response was telling, and communicated to a lot of people that the "racial healing" stuff was a pose, and we are in for a world of race-based innuendo, incitement, and leveraging of the numbers and tensions within the black community for political gain by Obama and his cohorts, for the next few years. That, ultimately, is what's annoying people about this, I think.

Obama Calls Crowley. Freddy the Fly on the Wall’s Perspective
(The following is not substantiated. It is simply the as yet unverified report of Freddy, a fly on the wall in the Oval Office who has not yet been swatted and smushed by Obama. Freddy, fortunately, kept detailed notes on the president’s phone call to Sgt. James Crowley of the Cambridge, MA police force. BHO=Obama, SGT=Crowley.)
BHO: Hey, Jimmy-boy. How ya doin’?
SGT: Who is this?
BHO: It’s your president, stu . . . umm, Sergeant!
SGT: The PBA president? You don’t sound like him.
BHO: No, no, no, it’s Barack Obama!
SGT: Oh. Who put you through to me and how did you get my number, anyway? It’s unlisted.
BHO: (Laughs) We have our ways, Jim. We have our ways. (Laughs again)
SGT: Whatever. What’s on your mind, Mr. President, why are you calling me?
BHO: Well, to explain things, Jimbo. I didn’t want you to get the wrong impression from what I said the other night . . . I didn’t want you to think I was calling you stupid. . . .
SGT: First, sir, please don’t call me Jimbo. Even my mom doesn’t call me Jimbo. But who then were you calling stupid? The whole Cambridge police force? And in front of a national audience on tv?
BHO: No problemo, Jim, don’t be so hot-headed . . .
SGT: Please call me sergeant, Mr. President. I worked hard to get this rank.
BHO: Umm, yeah, right, Senator Boxer said something like that to a general a while back.
SGT: I wouldn’t know. I don’t follow politics much.
BHO: Okay, I hear ya sergeant. I guess ya didn’t vote for me either? (Laughs)
SGT: Why would you say that, sir?
BHO: Well, as I said, we have our ways . . . of finding out stuff. Gibbsie told me most cops didn’t, that is, except for black cops. And you’re not black, right?
SGT: No sir.
BHO: Well, I guess you didn’t vote for me.
SGT: No comment. But, Mr. President, I’m sure you’re a busy man and I have a tee time in an hour. I hate to rush you . . .
BHO: Gotcha, sergeant, I won’t keep you long but I’m not really very busy.
SGT: Thank you, sir.
(Long pause)
SGT: Sir?
BHO: Yup?
SGT: Why did you call me? I think I heard you loud and clear on national television.
BHO: Well, we can’t always believe what we hear, sarge . . .
SGT: Please call me sergeant.
BHO: Yeah, right . . . Well, I called to set things straight. You do know the Black Congressional Caucus is supporting me and what I said at the health care news conference?
SGT: Yes, and so is Al Sharpton. So?
BHO: Well, I was just trying to show you that things aren’t always so black and white, ya know? I wanna be the president of all the people and I don’t want any hard feelings over all this. You know what I’m saying?
SGT: I do, sir. I’m not that stupid. May I speak frankly?
BHO: Sure, sergeant! I always want transparency and frank talk gets that done.
SGT: Thank you. Well, I just don’t understand you. Leon, that’s Sgt. Leon Lashley, a black guy, by the way, was on the scene when this thing with Professor Gates occurred and he fully corroborates my account of what happened. I just don’t get why you jumped the gun and ripped me and my department when you admitted you didn’t know all the facts and furthermore what you said seemed to have racial overtones since I’m white and the professor is black. It made it seem that it was racial for me to enforce the law . . .
BHO: Whoa! Now you sound like one angry man, sergeant!
SGT: No, I’m not angry. I’m pissed that the president of the United States would go off half-cocked on a local matter you knew nothing about! After all, is that presidential?
BHO: Now, you excuse me, sergeant, please don’t question my presidentiality. Professor Gates is a friend of mine . . .

You truly are a clueless fuckwit. Nobody's defending anything of the sort. I have, in fact, had cops show up at my door asking for information about an assault that happened in our apartment complex. I hate to tell ya, but Cambridge is the MOST liberal of all towns (well, ties with Northampton) in what may be the most liberal of states. I lived in or near Cambridge (actually in Somerville more often, the "poor man's Cambridge" most of my adult life) so I think I can speak to this.
I can't imagine anyone living there trying to hide being gay, including some Harvard professor. I also can't imagine the City of Cambridge hiring anyone they thought was racist, it just wouldn't go over with the public in the "People's Republic of Cambridge".

hmmm...... maybe he was more afraid of how this coming "out" then in the news might affect his standing in the African-American community then?
I've known several black gay men in the course of my lifetime (and no I'm not a gay man myself, just have known quite a few). It seems to me they all did mention that being a concern. You also tend to see that in the Hispanic community.

I do find a bit of poetic justice here. Regardless of what Gates has done to be a hotshot at Harvard he will always be remembered for the image in that photo, irate, in cuffs screaming his racial diatribes. His journey from now on is from a big man on campus down to a pathetic,
bitter little man eat up with racism.
His good friend the president will now have a catchphrase 'acting stupidity' hung around his neck to weigh him down as his popularity tumbles towards ridicule. His journey from a perception of intellect will plummet to where he is seen as acting stupidly on many things because of his inherent racism towards his white half and typical white people like his mother and grandmother.
In both cases it was gates and Obama that acted stupidly. Holding a bitter and aggressive attitude towards whites looks to be acting stupidly and in both cases beneath the dignity of their positions in our society.

Liberia: Land of Condoned Rape: Most American parents would break out their shotguns and meat cleavers to deal with an attack on their eight year old daughter. Not in Arizona in the case of relatively new refugees from Liberia.
Her family assigns blame for the brutal gang rape of their child to their child. As for punishment for the four African boys, aged 9 to 14, the child’s father contends that “nothing” should be done to them.
“The father also said the family moved to the United States five years ago from West Africa and they don’t understand the United States’ criminal system.” Apparently, in their former culture, such a crime brings shame upon the victim’s family.
Here’s a clue, Pop: You’re in America now and after 5 years here, it’s time to adapt to American culture which sternly frowns on sexual abuse and when that abuse involves an 8 year old girl we consider it an horrendous crime. It should be punishable by castration so the assailants will never do it again.
Regrettably, we’re too civilized to do that so the child’s attackers will soon be out on the streets of Phoenix ready willing and able to continue to exercise what they consider is their Liberian privilege.
The president of Liberia even chimed in on the case saying, ”Clearly, [the boys] are doing something that’s no longer acceptable in our society” (emphasis added). She didn’t say whether it became unacceptable before or after the four rapists emigrated.

Anyone else thinking deportation?
The Arkansas Wacko: In yet another instance of hypocritical cult leaders run amok, in Arkansas, 74 year old “Tony Alamo,” a self-proclaimed prophet, will finally be paying his dues to society.
Alamo, real name Bernie Lazar Hoffman, described as “a Christian evangelist” and “outfitter to the stars,” may be spending more hard time in jail than his fellow Bernie, Madoff. The latter was sent up for 150 years for bilking billions from greedy investors. Hoffman could get up to 175 years for convincing gullible believers that he was a prophet, then seducing their children.
With his now-grown victims in attendance at his sentencing for transporting girls across state lines for sex, Hoffman could have gotten his ideas from the Waco Wacko, David Koresh of Branch Davidian fame. He too brainwashed his adherents and banished males from his compound so he could beat and starve their wives into submission.
It was his pedophiliac inclinations that eventually hung Hoffman. Some of his “brides” were as young as eight. Ever the romantic, he would even give them wedding rings, to demonstrate commitment, I guess. Meanwhile, his followers were working at various enterprises to fund his glitzy lifestyle. http://bit.ly/HMsUP
One can only wish that Alamo/Hoffman lives a very long prison life. It shouldn’t be much fun for Bernie since fellow prisoners don’t often take kindly to child rapists.
Maybe it could be arranged that Madoff and Hoffman become cell-mates?
Teenie Strippers in Tiny Rhode Island: Up in Rhode Island, politicians have learned the hard way that even high school girls can legally become strippers due to a legal loophole in R.I. law.
The Cheaters Gentlemen’s Club in Providence featured one such 16 year old runaway doing . . .

1. OBAMA WAS BORN A FAILURE - his dumbass atheist mom and super dumbass drunkard father too care of that a looooong time ago
2. Gates is 1/2 white too but who cares - black is "where it's at"
3. All rich big whiteys (which, somehow, means all of the caucasians in the country) should just admit they are evil and kill themselves, so ANDY can be happy (burn your money first nasty white devils)

No blood, no foul Ex-bat. Glad you saw where I was coming from. Word is he was worried about being "outed" by this whole incident. Hence the "outrage". You hit it about "his standing". Nice observation. That's exactly what all this was about. "Man-toy" out the back, I preserve my standing, I get news coverage (even BO talks about me), my "charity" gets mo' money! Whitey gotta back down, I da king! I da king!

Hey Air2 and Karin, thanks for the strokes!
I'm diggin' the emerging slander-story about Gates being outed and stuff. It's a nice response to the Palin lies and slanders, the Rush slanders, the Bush, Cheney, Rumsfeld slanders. I doubt it'll stick but it's very pleasurable. Let's just call the Gates gay lover story "Trig's Revenge".
But EVEN MORE PLEASURABLE is the ZOGBY POLL, confirming and supporting all of the numbers of Rasmussen. Rasmussen, they argue, is a right-wing Fox News/Cheney/Rush/Coulter controlled Conspiracy Against Truth. But Zogby? Zogby is from the left's side of the tracks. And the #'s in Zogby are actually worse than Rasmussen.

To wet your appetite he's a tall Jamaican, quite muscular and well behaved. Seems Mr Gates requests him by name.... OH MY!

"Let's just call the Gates gay lover story "Trig's Revenge"."
What's so stupid is no one cares in Cambridge. He just needs to own up. But he can't even do that. No body cares if he's packing someone's chocolate or they're packing his (I'm gonna suggest they are packing his... but I don't know). As Ex-bat said it's the most liberal city around. So what the hell is he afraid of? Step up! Admit that you are gay! Everyone is going to shower you with Liberal love. What's the problem? For once own up and quit hiding. Just step up and say it.
