McCaskill Town Hall Meeting Turns Into Tea Party
Yesterday Senator Claire "ACORN" McCaskill — whose office recently called the cops on protesters — held a town hall meeting in St. Louis on healthcare Stalinization. Daily Kos urged its statist zombie hordes to attend. The idea was to create a photo op for the media, so that everyone could see how the masses agree that our healthcare system needs to be destroyed in the name of socialism.
However, it didn't turn out that way. The meeting was swamped with patriots. Check out the applause for "those that are opposed to the healthcare reform or who have some serious concerns with it":
A soldier earned equally enthusiastic applause with a lesson on the Constitution McCaskill took an oath to uphold:
We surround them. There's no reason to let them take our country away.

It's obvious, how many freakazoids with birds nesting in their hair and other various moonbats (chicken hats, etc) do you see there?

Young men like this give me tremendous confidence in the future. These leftists are on the wrong side of history. We are seeing a replay of 1994. Healthcare was the hill the statists died on then, it will be the hill they die on now.

Politicians that need clarification on why health care is not the business of government (practically all of them) need to listen to this guy's short speech.
Furthermore he's totally right that an apology and not an explanation is due and not just to him, but to the entire American public.

Any sightings of these legions of Kosbots there? I did see the video of some Cap&Trade folks meekly standing to the side holding their signs at waist level. Not sure if they were Marcos' minions. They appeared to satisfy the clueless requirement for membership.

That guy is a moonbat's worst nightmare.

A local TV station covered the event pretty fairly. Local TV and small town papers usually aren't nearly as bad as the big ones, so it's a good idea not to browbeat them at events.

Terrific. It gives confidence that the real America is still alive. But, will it change the minds of liberal law-imposers like McCaskill?

It will, when it comes time to vote. Just remind McCaskill and her ilk who actually turns out to vote.

To the person who made the freakazoid comment: Yes you're right I saw a few people with birds nesting in their hair. I was there. It was the McCaskill "plants" that had the birds nesting in their hair.

The statists struck out in 1994 with the double whammy of Hillarycare followed by their attacks on the Second Amendment by way of their so called "Assault Weapons Ban."
The current breed of moonbats has its sights set on Stalinizing healthcare then moving on to other progressive causes, of which attacks on the 2A will be included. Emanuel and company must wait until Sotomayor is on the court before defiling the Constitution any further.
Do moonbats not learn from history, or are they so delusional as to believe they won't repeat it?
This country suffered for four years under Carter, which brought us eight years of Reagan.

2010 liberals......2010!

Isn't it funny that we ALWAYS refer to the Constitution when we have a question or an issue, yet the communist sypathisers like Andy & Kyle NEVER do??
It must be because WE have actually read it and are capable of understanding plain old english..
It also must be why the communists are always trying to change the definition of words so they can hide behind them.

Moonbat: A person who believes that the words "SHALL NOT BE INFRINGED" mean anything other than just that.

Thank you St. Louis Tea Party Coalition!
Claire - did you get the messege?
Posted by: KRR at July 28, 2009 5:29 PM
That's an excellent exchange - this is what REAL hope and change is about. Hearing young men stand up and actually know what the Constitution says and have the back bone to say it and confront the amalgam of idiots who roam Washington D.C. about this sham and travesty called Public Healthcare Option is inspiring. Well done!

To rephrase an old radio message:
"Sighted Liberal, sank same."
Posted by: KHarn at July 28, 2009 6:30 PM
It's pretty telling that McKaskill LACKED the courage to face her voters/employers and take the heat. Instead she sent out a staffer to get yelled at because she is such a cowardly lowlife.

THANK YOU St. Louis, and to the articulate young soldier who puts liberals, the house and senate to shame - after all, he has READ the Constitution! They can't even read the bills they support. You give me faith that sound minds and the Constitution will ultimately prevail.

Will you idiots please go away. Your real problem is a half black man is President. Deal with it and if you can't handle it, just go elsewhere and take your latent racist xenophobic crap with you.
I'm a direct descendant of a signer of the Declaration of Independence and all of you disgust me. Where were you who are suddenly so concerned about money and power usurpation when the last President went on his spending spree and shredded the 4th Amendment ? Lock step with him, I suspect. Hypocrites. Your 'movement' has nothing to do with money and usurpation of power and everything to do with the fact that you can't handle the fact that a black man with a funny name is President.

So, how much are you crazies getting paid by the GOP to stage this stuff?
Posted by: Ophelia at August 5, 2009 4:53 PM
Anybody notice that in the current draft of the "Healthcare" Bill, all the penalties for non-compliance get deposited into the Treasury as "Miscelaneous Receipts"?
Posted by: Barry at August 8, 2009 12:04 AM
Chris:
Sounds to me like you're the racist here, and a paranoid one at that. And nobody cares who your ancestors are. We have important issues at hand here. This healthcare takeover has nothing to do with George Bush one way or the other. But as long as we're dealing with non sequiturs, let me remind you that the Echelon Program under Clinton was twenty times as intrusive to domestic privacy as anything under the Patriot Act, and did nothing to protect us from attack. Vote any way you want (for now), but keep your mindless name calling to yourself.

I disagree with most of the commenters, as well as with the political stance of this post and of the blog in general. However, even though I disagree with (many of) you, I believe that everyone here has a right to voice their opinion without fear of reproach or violence.
Unfortunately, these town halls have not reflected a dignified, tolerant America. When did it become true that if you favored universal healthcare, you became a hardline socialist? That if you supported peace, you were anti-troops? That if you disagreed with Beck/O'Reilly/Limbaugh/Palin, you were not a "true, hardworking American"?
I know that you hear it from the left, too -- like the previous blogger, you may be accused of being racist if you don't support Obama. A lot of this is in the media, and it's on both sides. But instead of blindly spreading the vitriol, which is so easy to do online, please just take a step back and think:
There are well-informed, hardworking people out there who may be just like you... except that they disagree on certain issues within politics. This does not mean that they are anti-American. This does not mean that they are stupid or uneducated. This does not mean that they are going to hell.
Instead, they may just have a different value system. Of course, you believe that yours is superior, but the privilege of living in the United States is that we are exposed to a diverse group of people with a diverse set of views. You may choose never to associate yourself with people of different views. However, I implore that you respect their right to have them.
And as such, let's put an end to all the incendiary comments just designed to get others riled up. As much as it's fun to play "us" against "them", in the end, let's focus on constructive discussion to solve this healthcare issue.
