God, Guns, Guts, and American Pickup Trucks
In ObamaLand, the only way to get ahead is to be officially classified as a victim. Yet some of us would still rather be Americans than victims — including car dealer Mark Muller, who is giving away free AK-47s with the purchase of a truck. Here we see him politely exposing a CNN propagandist as a witless, condescending fool:
On a tip from mega.

He pwnend that useless CNN chick. How refreshing to see a strong Christian man with no PC fear get after a nationally sindicated "news" network. "Do you have a problem with God?" Classic. They were so diametrically opposed, I'm surprised they didn't open up a blackhole. Talk about bringing a knife to a gun fight.

MARK MULLER for PRESIDENT!
Bob the Plumber could be his VP and what an amazing upgrade over the current Executive Branch THAT would be!!

All these useless retarded liberals believe that you can easily buy fully automatic assault rifles.
The AK's he's selling are the semi-automatic versions.
Personally I prefer a good modular AR15 (lasers, scopes, flashlight, foregrip etc...) :)

No firearms in 30 AD? Must have thought that Jesus Christ Superstar (the movie) was a documentary - it featured machine guns and grenades for sale in temple in Jerusalem and the guards carried automatic rifles.

What a moron this broad is, not bad lookin for a bitch over 40 but that's why she's a newsbunny!
She had guns in her house growing up, why is that? Maybe her daddy didn't want his daughter getting raped?
Anyway, if a gun is no problem then WTF is the issue with an AK-47 or an M-16 aside from the fact that they LOOK like guns!! They can't be automatics, so? Perhaps if they looked like SuperSoakers libs would have no problem with a SuperSoaker lookalike that fires 7.62mm rounds.
Actually, in a home defense situation, I think a semi-automatic shotgun would be much more deadly.
Posted by: Shooter1001 at July 20, 2009 7:12 AM
Gregory, the problem is buying a car and getting the value added voucher for the Ak-47 has nothing to do with God. The idea of inserting God into the promotion is a lame attempt at some elite form of Patriotism. As a country we are largely a Christian nation, but more and more people are declaring themselves to have no affiliation with Church or becoming atheists.
Further, claiming the pwned the CNN host, is a non-story,as she asked reasonable questions. Funny how this works, under Democratic control gun laws are being eased. Bars, church raffles, and now added value with the purchase of a vehicle. It is a irresponsible promotion.

Kyle, pfft. She was asking dumb, condescending questions based in her defective lefty ideology, and he took her to school. It's notable because these are supposed to be the people that BRING us NEWS, whereas they consistently bring us their opinions, which are in fact well indoctrinated.
As to God, he's marketing to his selected market segment, that's all. You know, the biggest one. Pretty good plan if you ask me.
Now, none of the gun laws have changed at all so far, certainly not relaxing. That thing in DC was just the court recognizing a violation of the Constitutional rights of the citizens there. All of these things are simply people reacting to their expectations. I certainly expect attempts to violate my rights, assuming the administration's whole program doesn't melt down in the next month.

God, Guns, And Guts have been around for years all markn did was add trucks. This country was founded on GOD, GUNS, AND GUTS. As for under democratic control, gun laws are being eased, you are kidding me right? Democrats are the most anti gunners out there.

Kyle,
You don't have a problem with God, do you?
Posted by: forest at July 20, 2009 8:39 AM
Chunk, it is a reference to the slogan used in 2003-2004 by the GOP. I did not claim he made a statement about gays. Dong, this country was not founded on God.Jefferson was hardly a man of the cloth, and "In God We Trust" did not really circulate until the 50's. Both the right and left need to get away from the God nonsense, as it only furthers the dislike for one another. Heated debate and other fights ignite elsewhere over the "My God is better than..." Inserting whenever possible is only serving the hard right, and agitating to groups like the Freedom from Religion Foundation. I have no problem with Christ, it's the Christians that irritate me. We need to arrive at a place where "God" is not an issue. Both sides are guilty on the topic.

Posted by: Kyle at July 20, 2009 10:25 AM
Just can't let go of the idea that people must be discouraged from publicly acknowledging, never mind proclaiming, what may be the central focus of their lives, and basis of decision-making, can you? Just shut up about it, right? Keep it private. (Funny how that doesn't apply to homosexuality.) Dude, that's just part of the lefty attempt to opress, supress, and repress Xtianity and replace it with socialism. Easy to see right through it. Yanno, I'd much rather hang around with open minded Xtians than most atheists, because atheists can be real assholes, not that we all are.
Posted by: Mr Evilwrench at July 20, 2009 11:04 AM
It may be a Russian design, but they're made all over. Mine is a US copy in fact. The thing is, it has some advantages in some conditions. It's well able to absorb abuse and neglect that most firearms can't. If you're out of supply and support, it'll keep firing as long as you have ammunition. I wouldn't toss a handful of sand in my AR15 or M4, or go a month without cleaning them. Just toss your AK in its hiding place after you've fired it; the most you'll have to do is kick the bolt back next time you pick it up. It's a cheap way to get lead downrange when the chips are down. Plus it's hella fun.
Posted by: Mr Evilwrench at July 20, 2009 11:14 AM
Evil, what part of "both the right and left are guilty" did you miss? A person's relationship with God should be a private matter, just as a gay persons relationship with their partner should also be a private matter. How many Churchgoers have shown up on your porch vs gay couples? How dollars have spent that do not say "In God We Trust" vs "To each his own". It is these kind of arguments that both sides feed on, and keeping private things private is the answer. I accept the fact that gays have lovers and I accept the fact that Conservatives love God (Chris Hitchens aside). Inserting God into a car/gun promotion is pointless. If McDonald's want put "In Ronald We Trust" it self promotion, or if a Mosque puts up "In Allah We Trust" it is their business, but Christians and Atheists find offense in it, it is pointless. I am always one to say "Sometimes you need to pick a fight in order to win one", but some are pointless.

Posted by: Shooter1001 at July 20, 2009 11:29 AM
The rhetorical WWJD question is often used by condescending lefties, (who like to think Jesus was just a passive, docile hippy), to scoff at Christians. On most matters these days, the primary question the enlightened left actually ask themselves is, 'WWEuropeD?'.
Posted by: lvb-rocks at July 20, 2009 11:53 AM
Jeez, I don't care if you log in as Kyle Broflovski or Ghost Wellstoned or what, although it being you shows the futility of trying to get through to you. Everyone else should be able to tell you're a fool, so thanks for the clarification.
Myself, I don't typically have anyone show up at my door unless they're delivering something. Otherwise I typically have a .45 ready. Now tell me, you don't have any objection to this promotion other than the "God" reference? It's really nothing to do with the AK47, just the idea of God being "inserted" into it? Don't you realize, there is a huge proportion of the population for whom "God" is not in any way "inserted"? He's just "there"?
You obviously do not identify with the demographic to whom he is marketing, yet you think you can dictate to him and them how he should approach them. This is exactly the sort of thing we refer to as condescending elitism, and it's exactly why we think people like you should keep yourselves out of these debates, because not only are you wrong, but you misunderstand them fundamentally.

"But inserting "God" into everything is getting dangerous these days."
You are a dangerously naive person. I pity you.

Kyle/Ghost of Wellstone,
You said:
"I have no problem with Christ, it's the Christians that irritate me".
Why do you let them irritate you? I mean if you're going to look down your nose at other people because they have a belief system that is not exactly like yours, it would seem that you would merely just brush them off when you felt you had to. Unless there's something else involved here.
I can understand that it could be a little inconvenient for you if you would prefer to live your day without contact with people that differ from you when just such a person ends up on your doorstep. But how hard is it to politely say, "No thanks."?
Here's something for you to consider:
Paul Wellstone's family name was actually Wexelstein. Yep, you guessed it, Wellstone was Jewish, just like Jesus. Your pseudo-namesake's father changed the name to Wellstone in the 1930s to protect his family from virulent anti-semitism in the Ukraine.
There's more: When Wellstone won his first term in the Senate, he did it by defeating another Jew who stupidly accused him of not being a good Jew because he married a Gentile and raised his children as Christians. Wellstone delivered a memorable smack down by asking his opponent what he had against Christians.
http://sthweb.bu.edu/index.php?option=com_awiki&view=mediawiki&article=Paul_Wellstone&Itemid=351
I guess I'm asking you the same thing though truthfully, I don't care. I just think you should stop dragging someone else's name through the mud with your optional pseudonym choice.
Posted by: tfhr at July 20, 2009 1:37 PM
What he was saying was an echo of Cromwell.
"Put your faith in God, and keep your powder dry"
Posted by: Jim at July 20, 2009 2:36 PM
tfhr, nice try, but it's really a ridiculous attempt for a rebuttal. If I choose to have an admiration for the late Senator, I am "dragging his name through the mud" because I do not share his position on religions? That's like saying I don't love my Dad because he is Catholic, and I am an atheist. Nice try though on bringing the Boschwitz reference into this.
Evil, you apparently did not read anything I wrote. Both the left and right are equally guilty of making far too much over inserting/excluding God on a number of issues. I do believe both are wrong. I personally don't care, but I see the danger of promoting something by using God as a prop in order to state how patriotic they are. Gays are denied rights because Conservatives think it is against "God's will", Muslim terrorists believe there's 72 Virgins for their crimes, and Mueller uses God as a prop to sell cars and giveaway vouchers for automatic weapons because "God would want us to protect ourselves"Give me a break. "people like you should keep yourselves out of these debates, because not only are you wrong, but you misunderstand them fundamentally." Really? Because I am not willing to deny or grant rights to anyone based on their religion? Or that I believe using God in order to attract people to earn wealth is fundamentally wrong? You become upset if I say "Goddamn!", but see Mueller as some sort of Patriot for "God, Guns..."You are contradicting your loyalty to "God" by those standards.
Posted by: Kyle at July 20, 2009 4:23 PM
Kyle/Ghost, rational discussion ain't here. Let em drown in their own sewage. We're dealing with the sinking desperate of the lunatic fringe. There's no saving them nor is there a need.
Posted by: andy42302 at July 20, 2009 5:49 PM
God Guns Guts and Pick-Up trucks. I all for the above. Funny how libs can get themselves all twisted up in a knot if God is promoted by a non-cleric. If Mueller's marketing strategy doesn't work he'll go out of buisness, the market does tend to operate this way. I couldn't understand why she kept harping on that issue unless her personal bias was against God and/or Guns.
Posted by: tired of liberal lies at July 20, 2009 5:53 PM
Andy,You are correct, however I am going to take one last shot at the last remark. Tired, when did become sacred to use "God" as a marketing strategy?

Gregory of Yardale....David Goldstein [or goldy as he calls himself] is the poster child for useless, worthless, lazy ass losers that spend their days pontificating on things they know nothing about. He doesn't have a job, not sure if has ever had a real job, and begs for money from his "readers" on a regular basis so he can take vacations to Florida.[ where I'm pretty sure he then begs mommy for more money to continue his "important work" and mommy is only too happy to oblige as long as he keeps his lazy ass parked on the other side of the country...in Marin we used to call them the trust fund babies...sadly for Goldstein his family doesn't have that kind of "money"]
He embarrasses parasites everywhere.....I'm pretty sure a tapeworm would be to ashamed to be seen with him.....
On the lighter side, it must have just killed him to be ripped apart by the the Seattle P.I. the most useless paper to ever come down the pike....
And at the same time, as the little attention whore he is, he was probably thrilled too.
"They mentioned me ,THEY MENTIONED ME!! I must really exists after all!!!", as he parades around in a tu tu in front of the mirror in his house that he cannot afford to heat.
Posted by: christmasghost at July 20, 2009 6:44 PM
Kyle, I'm going to jump the gun here a bit and answer that question for you in their mindset.
"Tired, when did become sacred to use "God" as a marketing strategy?"
Moonbattery Answer: When you Nazi communist fascist Marxist liberals used God as a marketing tool. Why isn't it fair for us, uh or me, uh, or whoever it is that I'm posting under?
Posted by: andy42302 at July 20, 2009 7:06 PM
Ghost of Kyle,
Rebuttal? I had not intended my comments as a rebuttal, just an effort to understand your apparent dislike for Christians.
I regard myself as agnostic for the most part. I don't presume to know all of life's answers or believe that mankind can. I do believe that there is a mighty insecurity within people that know with certainty that there is no God and find it necessary to lash out at others that do not share this omniscience.
I also thought it was rather incongruent that you complained about religious hatred but still have this intense dislike for Christians. The Wellstone response to Boschwitz was kind of a hoot and I find it very ironic that you've chosen to use his name since he seemed to have an intolerance for religious intolerance. You know you don't have to have a religious affiliation or faith to be afflicted with religious intolerance. Shall I hold a mirror up for you?
Posted by: tfhr at July 20, 2009 8:01 PM
tfhr,
I will give you a nod for pulling the Wellstone argument against me. However, to admire someone's legacy does not mean I would agree with them 100% of the time. I am with you on not knowing all of life's answers, which is why I have joked that I am in fact a "Faitheist", which was derived from joking with a religious scholar over cocktails one evening. You apparently looked over the fact that I stated that both the left and right provide fodder for this debate. My "intolerance" applies to both when it comes to religion. It is a private matter. The issue I take, is using God as a marketing tool. If Mueller had said "Allah, Guns,Guts and American Trucks" I would make the same argument. Far too much is made out of Christianity by the Christian Conservative base, and lashing out the way my fellow lefties have is self defeating on both sides. I happen to find Christians in particular annoying, because it is a prominent religion in my country. I have had young Church goers in for coffee when arrive on my porch, and offer my thoughts and accept theirs. However, I don't have Muslims, Hindus or Atheists at my door. That is the difference. It is a personal decision, and a personal relationship with the God or non-God of your choice. I do not need to be recruited or treated differently because I have doubts or do not believe. It is however, ironic that many on the right will declare a metaphorical war when Christianity is called a prop. I really don't give a damn, but the hypocrisy is astonishing! We may not actually be too far off on this issue?
Posted by: Kyle at July 20, 2009 8:31 PM
Andy, well said! :)
Posted by: Kyle at July 20, 2009 8:32 PM
I indeed read everything you wrote, and stand by everything I said in response. There is this urgency on the left to get Xtians to shut up and hide their faith, and you're right there with it. This makes it easier to replace it with socialism, and I have no doubt you're right in there with that, too. I don't have a problem with this guy bringing God into his ad campaign; in fact I find it refreshing, largely because it annoys people like you. No, I don't hold myself above annoying my opponents.
You want to know the best part? I'm an atheist myself. I understand christians and their faith, and don't condescend to them; I share their principles by and large, just not their faith.
I don't want to have any common ground with you, from anything I've read that you've written. Everything you want is anathema to me, so you can shove it all back up your ass as far as I'm concerned and quit trying to make like we're all in anything together. We're not. You are my enemy, and I am yours, and I will continue to fight every aspect of your philosophy in any way I can.
